    Great experience.
Anna was an amazing guide. We had a tour of 8 folks and went to a number of restaurants to sample the foods - with the grand finale being the bisteka Florentino. A totally wonderful experience.

    Perfect morning tour
Such an amazing tour with our guide Guido. He was unbelievably knowledgeable, friendly, and humorous. Enjoyed our time at the museum, Seeing the works of art, and then Guido took us around the city, teaching us something every minute. Whole process was super easy. Met the guides right on time, easy to find. Skipping the lines was the only way to go.

    Great tour!
We knew when we visited Florence, we wanted to see Michaelangelo's David. We aren't really interested in art, so we thought a tour with history infused would be a good option. Cosette was an excellent guide and provided a lot of historical information related to Michaelangelo and Florence.

    Cosetta is the best!
Cosetta was an amazing tour guide! She has a wealth of knowledge about Italian art history & catered the tour to the group’s interests. She had great awareness of where group members were at all times. She also offered to take photos by notable statues. Cosetta made our experience even more enjoyable!

    Wonderful Night Around Florence.
The tour was amazing from beginning to end. Marco worked with everyone on any dietary issues, and let us take our time when needed. We learned the history of certain foods and wines, as well as the history of other local interests. We stopped to take photos, and received ideas and recommendations for the rest of our time in Florence. Highly recommend this tour, especially at the beginning of your visit in the city!

    The Tour.Guy is a scam!!!!
This tour is a scam. Booked weeks in advance. Received constant updates from the vendor, including numbers to call for assistance and an email address. Non-responsive to both even on the day of the tour. Tour guide never showed up and phone calls and texts or never answered. Stay away from this vendor. This is a total scam.

    More than just David
We really enjoyed our tour; the guide was extremely knowledgeable, and gave us so much interesting history. Being an evening tour it was less busy, and entry was very quick. The main attraction is David, of course, and he is magnificent. Pictures do not do him justice. We also enjoyed the other parts of the Academia, including the gallery of plaster busts. An excellent way to spend the evening in Florence.

Loved the tour and making friends!
My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Florence Evening Food Tour on 12/30/24. We were in a small group of five travelers and our guide. It was a nice night for walking and the weather was good. Our guide was knowledgeable, checked on us all keeping up and generally set us all at ease from the get-go. The five stops along the tour were all tasty, the places were clean and people friendly, and we definitely went to places we wouldn't have found on our own. Highly recommend!!

    Evening Tour a plus!
This was my first tour with the Tour Guy. Guilio, the guide was knowledgeable, patient, friendly. Going in the evening was enjoyable with less people. I will book with The Tour Guy again.

    A MUST DO IN FLORENCE!!!
Absolutely fantastic food tour! Our guide Teddy was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable, sweet, funny, fantastic personality!!!!Don’t think you could do better with having somebody tour you around Florence. Our group just happened to be very small just 3 ladies and Teddy made it feel like it was just a girl friends night out on the town. This tour AMAZING not only are you getting several stops filled appetizers and wine, but then a FULL Florentine steak meal at a beautiful local neighborhood restaurant! A MUST DO!

    Great tour to the Academia
Our tour guide Francesca was great. She is very knowledgeable and patience. It was a most wonderful experience! She would talk about the history of all the other places as we were walking to the tour site. She went beyond to explain the history of the other site. Very impress with her history and geography knowledge.

Don’t leave Florence without trying the steak.
Lori was an excellent hostess. A balanced presentation of history as we walked and information about the food and drink as we stopped along the way. The choices of food we ate was varied and we had a chance to visit restaurants that we would otherwise probably would not. The Florentine steak dinner at the end was delicious. I would definitely recommend trying it while in Florence. This tour checked all the boxes. It was a great way to spend an evening. Lori was helpful with getting us a taxi and giving us some suggestions for what to see and do for the rest of our trip.

Fascinating tour with very knowledgeable guide
Great couple of hours. Negotiating the streets of Florence and ending with skip the line tickets for the Academia to see Michelangelo’s David. Knowledge and interesting guide with just a small group makes for a real treat.

Lori turns a food tour into an evening out with friends.
Amazing food tour. Taking a trip through the culinary history of Florence is interesting and tasty enough, but tour guide Lori turned a group of strangers into a group of friends for an evening. Every dish was accompanied by laughs and stories. The entire group stayed out at a local bar hours after the tour was finished. Would highly recommend.

The girl Nirmala in charge of cleaning is really sweet and courteous, very clean. It's fast. It's really nice to have staff like that in hotels. Regarding the hotel. The rooms are nice but nothing special. Change to suites this hotel has really nice suites. And for this price it is really convenient. In fact I chose this hotel to take photos of my wedding. However, for the breakfasts it is a bit poor, it is not 5 star. But the staff. He's really courteous and smiling... I like him. Thanks for the experience it was beautiful.

The tour guides did an excellent job of explaining the rich history of Florence from both it's renowned artists and buildings. If you go during the busy tourist seasons, our guide said they dont normally go into the Duomo since the lines are so long. However, the Duomo is the most impressive from the outside so you won't miss much. Having a knowledgeable guide for the Uffuzi gallery is a must as you navigate the best of Renaissance art and ours did not disappoint!

The tour does not include the Basilica Santa Croce, but it was recommended by our guide since there is plenty of time after the full day tour to go and see something else or do some shopping. I would highly recommend the short walk to see this church too;

Cristiano took us on the tour of the Academia the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio and Chiara took us around the Uffizi. Both guides were wonderful and full of interesting information. Two people in our group were having difficulty finding the meeting point in the morning and Cristiano worked hard to track them down and get them to the right spot.

Tour was informative and gave alot of history about Florence and all the art but was disappointed that we did not go into the Duomo. The notes for the tour state that you need to dress appropriately because you will be entering a church. So on an 80 degree day we wore pants and shirts covering shoulders because of that. However we were never taken inside the church and were very hot in our pants. If I had to plan these sites again I think I would just try to buy tickets separately to see David and do that on my own. The Ufizzi tour was better in my opinion and more enjoyable because of the commentary. But it was our 1st time in Florence and we didn't know. The Ponte Vecchio and Duomo are all outdoor sites that did not require entry anywhere so those are doable on your own. Also the Duomo is better at night. If you wanted to do Ufizzi on your own that is doable as well because they sell headsets that give a history of all the art as you pass it.

This was the best tour I have ever taken. Marco was a fabulous guide and did an excellent job of explaining the art and the perspective of the painting. He was able to hold the interest of our entire family all day. He did a fabulous job of explaining the art we saw as well as the history of the city. This is a must do tour. If tour guides can be requested then I would definitely ask for Marco.

When asked Florence and Angela were the highlight of our 30th Anniversary vacation for my husband. Besides me of course. We loved the day spent with Angela showing us around Florence. The Roman Guy has the best tours in our opinion. Small group sizes and the guides are exceptional. Angela is in Love with Michaelangelo and didn't stop talking about him passionately all day long. This tour is split up into two tours with lunch in between that you do on your own. The morning tour was a group of 11 in which we did the walking tour of Florence and saw David... AMAZING !! This statue will captivate you. I am not a very artsy person but standing there looking at what Michaelangelo created is beyond words. After lunch Angela took 4 of us to the Uffizi ! I wasn't going to do this tour originally because I thought after going to the Vatican I wouldn't need to see more art. Boy was I wrong. There are no words to describe the vast wonders you will encounter in the Uffizi. This is a don't miss tour. Especially if you do it with Angela. She truly enjoys showing others the love she has for her city and it's history. You won't be disappointed with The Roman Guy. Their tours are the best, and yes I have done others.

Ciao Dianne. Thank you for your review and congratulations on your 30th anniversary! We're thrilled to read that your tour with Angela was the highlight of your trip, that means a lot to us! There is a lot of unbelievable art in Italy and it can get overwhelming unless you go with an expert guide such as Angela. We hope you had a once in a lifetime vacation and hope to welcome you back to Italy or Paris (The Paris Guy) in the future!

Definitely recommend this tour if you’re short on time. Florence is ALL about art. We thought that there would have been more general and cultural aspects on the tour, but it was 80% about art. No problem as I love art, my husband less so.

It is totally worth it to pay to join a tour like this as you really skip the lines. Wow! We could not believe that by 8:30am the line at Galleria dell ‘Accademia was crazy! Lines around the block in both directions! Insane! If you had to queue just to buy a ticket, you probably would have been in the line for 2 hours alone!

We spent more time in here on 2 sculptures, David (being the main attraction) and Rape of the Sabine women, but it would have been nice if we could have seen a few more items. But time did not permit. You can always return later with your ticket, anyway, should you have the time.

We spent time in the Piazza della Signoria looking at the sculptures there. This is the starting point for the afternoon tour. We left the group on the Ponte Vecchio bridge, so it was perfect for grabbing a bite in the area and walking back to meet our afternoon tour. I can’t remember the name of our morning guide but our afternoon guide, Ben was brilliant!

He kept our whole group of varied ages including kids as young as 7, fully attentive and interested in everything we saw. I definitely recommend this tour as you will see and experience much of what Florence has to offer in one full and compact day. Definitely consider it if you’re short on time or visiting Florence for only 1 or 2 days!

We arrived one day late as our flight was cancelled so I used their online chat to change the date and they also kindly placed a long-distance call to me on my roaming Caribbean cell to make the changes over the phone which I greatly appreciated. We did have to pay a hefty penalty to change the tour to the following day, but we understood that it was the admission fees for both museums. A bummer but we didn’t want to cancel the tour! The change fee was totally worth it to see and experience the marvels on this tour!

This was our third tour on this particular trip with the Roman Guy and it may have topped them all! And to think I was going to cancel it because of the weather forecast. We did spend a very wet thirty minutes or so outside gathering and traveling to Accademia but that was it. Otherwise it was a beautiful day in a beautiful city!

We started our day with Katerina who had such an abundance of knowledge about the history of Florence, the Medici family and every piece of art we observed with her. Her degree in anthropology and her Florentine heritage served us well! In addition, she offered many suggestions on how to spend our time in Florence.

With Katerina we did a walking tour that started with a visit to Accademia and then through the city and its highlights until we got to the Uffuzi. She shared the history of the palace, why the Uffuzi was built and then we walked to the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge. The history of this city is so rich, opulent and unbelievable to a mere mortal like me. There are no words to describe the statue of David. It is just breathtaking.

After lunch we met our new guide, art historian Francesca who lead us through Uffuzi. The Renaissance is my favorite time period in art history so I was in awe of what I was seeing and Francesca added insight and knowledge that made me love the pieces even more. She encouraged us to get 'right up there' and take a look, which I wouldn't have otherwise done.

Both of these lovely, intelligent women gave us a day that we won't soon forget. Now we anxiously await our next visit to our new favorite Italian destination.
