- KimTieszen00Bucket list highlightOur guide Alma made our experience exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable and informative while making the tour interesting even for those who aren’t history buffs.
- W8638UFisabellar00Highlight of the trip!Such a great evening with Theodora! She was so fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. Made the group of strangers so comfortable and all felt like friends at the end! Yummy food spots and great company
- Patti G00DavidFrancesca was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic—and was kind enough to wait for our group when we were delayed. Thanks for the experience!
- eyecannon00A wonderful tourAlma was a great tour guide. We really enjoyed the Michaelangelo exhibit and walking around Florence checking out the sites.
- F8231VLmichaelg00Fabulous tour and guideOur guide was fantastic- she really brought the city to life for us. So impressed! Her knowledge was amazing and love of her city was touching.
- Heidi R00Really informative tourReally good tour of the city and of the gallery. Didn't get to go into the Cathedral so had to buy these tickets separately but got a really good background about the history. The tour guide was very considerate and made sure we had breaks to drink if we needed them.
- amandatfree00Great experience!Great tour! Very knowledgeable guide and we got right into the gallery. Would absolutely recommend booking
- pattswei00Viator Academia 1 hour tour with Martina1 hour Academia tour Viator !!!Our guide was Martina very interesting, intelligent, and humorous she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She made sure everyone’s radio worked before start the tour she had to change out a coup it would not start until everyone was happy!!!!’ If it’s possible to request her defiantly do it !!!!
- 246nancyc00Great walk and talkGreat tour through the lovely streets of Florence. Very interesting history and nothing was boring or irrelevant. Would definitely recommend but wear your walking shoes.
- Guelareh00Amazing short tourThe tour was superlative. The tour guide was a professional on arts and history and an expert of the city. She was extremely intelligent and communicative and had an excellent humour. I learned a lot on Italy and Florence arts and history.
- rebeccabY3022FC00BeaufamLearned so much! Easy to book and find guide. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a small group!
- EmptyNest50200Great Walking TourGuide was great and the pace was good. I never felt he was talking just to pass the time. He provided meaningful and interesting facts about Florence.
- Relax6097820278100Accademia GalleryThere are so many magnificent art work but as you know David is the most popular and it has been the one who affected me most. But the line is toooo crowded to buy ticket from door. I suggest you to buy it from its page, months before. I have waited for 2 hours and it was not a late hour, some says the line lasts 4 hour or more. So ticket is important.
- 4clarkies00Knowledgeable guide but could easily do it without tour. The guide for our evening tour of David was very informed and shared a few of her favorite spots in the gallery. That was very nice. The lower stars are for the price and the tour being billed as 'after hours.' Our tour was at 5 but the day we toured the gallery stays open late. Also my son qualified for a free ticket, but the tour guy charges full rates for teens. We waited about 45 minutes in que to enter the gallery and that was was considered part of the tour time.
- 579kathryns00Seeing the David is a must in Firenze! So glad we opted for the guided tour with skip the line! Skipping the crazy line is a key piece if you're only in Florence for a limited time (and would rather spend time in a Piazza having a drink and people watching anyway!). Martina was a great guide. She was very knowledgable and added in art history pieces that were very interesting (even to someone not that into art). Seeing the David is a must in Firenze!

Tour was informative and gave alot of history about Florence and all the art but was disappointed that we did not go into the Duomo. The notes for the tour state that you need to dress appropriately because you will be entering a church. So on an 80 degree day we wore pants and shirts covering shoulders because of that. However we were never taken inside the church and were very hot in our pants. If I had to plan these sites again I think I would just try to buy tickets separately to see David and do that on my own. The Ufizzi tour was better in my opinion and more enjoyable because of the commentary. But it was our 1st time in Florence and we didn't know. The Ponte Vecchio and Duomo are all outdoor sites that did not require entry anywhere so those are doable on your own. Also the Duomo is better at night. If you wanted to do Ufizzi on your own that is doable as well because they sell headsets that give a history of all the art as you pass it.

When asked Florence and Angela were the highlight of our 30th Anniversary vacation for my husband. Besides me of course. We loved the day spent with Angela showing us around Florence. The Roman Guy has the best tours in our opinion. Small group sizes and the guides are exceptional. Angela is in Love with Michaelangelo and didn't stop talking about him passionately all day long. This tour is split up into two tours with lunch in between that you do on your own. The morning tour was a group of 11 in which we did the walking tour of Florence and saw David... AMAZING !! This statue will captivate you. I am not a very artsy person but standing there looking at what Michaelangelo created is beyond words. After lunch Angela took 4 of us to the Uffizi ! I wasn't going to do this tour originally because I thought after going to the Vatican I wouldn't need to see more art. Boy was I wrong. There are no words to describe the vast wonders you will encounter in the Uffizi. This is a don't miss tour. Especially if you do it with Angela. She truly enjoys showing others the love she has for her city and it's history. You won't be disappointed with The Roman Guy. Their tours are the best, and yes I have done others.

Ciao Dianne. Thank you for your review and congratulations on your 30th anniversary! We're thrilled to read that your tour with Angela was the highlight of your trip, that means a lot to us! There is a lot of unbelievable art in Italy and it can get overwhelming unless you go with an expert guide such as Angela. We hope you had a once in a lifetime vacation and hope to welcome you back to Italy or Paris (The Paris Guy) in the future!

This was our third tour on this particular trip with the Roman Guy and it may have topped them all! And to think I was going to cancel it because of the weather forecast. We did spend a very wet thirty minutes or so outside gathering and traveling to Accademia but that was it. Otherwise it was a beautiful day in a beautiful city!
We started our day with Katerina who had such an abundance of knowledge about the history of Florence, the Medici family and every piece of art we observed with her. Her degree in anthropology and her Florentine heritage served us well! In addition, she offered many suggestions on how to spend our time in Florence.
With Katerina we did a walking tour that started with a visit to Accademia and then through the city and its highlights until we got to the Uffuzi. She shared the history of the palace, why the Uffuzi was built and then we walked to the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge. The history of this city is so rich, opulent and unbelievable to a mere mortal like me. There are no words to describe the statue of David. It is just breathtaking.
After lunch we met our new guide, art historian Francesca who lead us through Uffuzi. The Renaissance is my favorite time period in art history so I was in awe of what I was seeing and Francesca added insight and knowledge that made me love the pieces even more. She encouraged us to get 'right up there' and take a look, which I wouldn't have otherwise done.
Both of these lovely, intelligent women gave us a day that we won't soon forget. Now we anxiously await our next visit to our new favorite Italian destination.

We learned so much! Both guides Patricia and Eris were very knowledgeable and nice. We got also very good tips on where to go to eat. One nice thing about these tours is that you are part of a small group which makes the experience more enjoyable and personal.

The tours (three, really - a morning tour of the Accademia Gallery with Michelangelo's David, a walking tour of the old section of Florence, and an afternoon tour of the Uffizi Museum) were all incredible and the guides were amazing. Their knowledge of the art and history really filled in a lot and made severally of the more famous pieces (like David, the Birth of Venus, works by Leonardo, Michelangelo, and many others take on new meaning and life. The tour was definitely worth the price. One thing I would say is to make sure you wear good walking shoes!

Just spent an amazing day with Francesca in Florence! We debated about doing a tour, and we were so glad we did. Even our teenagers said they appreciated what they saw so much more than if we had just wandered around by ourselves. Francesca shared a wealth of information with us from artistic techniques of to the political history of the region and even local hotspots to eat! And, she was so personable and interesting! She also gave us good suggestions of other things to see during our stay in Florence. We were so glad we booked this tour!

Great tour! Our tour guide, Frederica, an art historian, was amazing! She was very, very knowledgeable and made our experience really awesome. I can’t imagine touring these places without an expert to tell you all about it. She was very passionate about art and really made our tour great! Thank you Frederica!

Definitely recommend this tour if you’re short on time. Florence is ALL about art. We thought that there would have been more general and cultural aspects on the tour, but it was 80% about art. No problem as I love art, my husband less so.
It is totally worth it to pay to join a tour like this as you really skip the lines. Wow! We could not believe that by 8:30am the line at Galleria dell ‘Accademia was crazy! Lines around the block in both directions! Insane! If you had to queue just to buy a ticket, you probably would have been in the line for 2 hours alone!
We spent more time in here on 2 sculptures, David (being the main attraction) and Rape of the Sabine women, but it would have been nice if we could have seen a few more items. But time did not permit. You can always return later with your ticket, anyway, should you have the time.
We spent time in the Piazza della Signoria looking at the sculptures there. This is the starting point for the afternoon tour. We left the group on the Ponte Vecchio bridge, so it was perfect for grabbing a bite in the area and walking back to meet our afternoon tour. I can’t remember the name of our morning guide but our afternoon guide, Ben was brilliant!
He kept our whole group of varied ages including kids as young as 7, fully attentive and interested in everything we saw. I definitely recommend this tour as you will see and experience much of what Florence has to offer in one full and compact day. Definitely consider it if you’re short on time or visiting Florence for only 1 or 2 days!
We arrived one day late as our flight was cancelled so I used their online chat to change the date and they also kindly placed a long-distance call to me on my roaming Caribbean cell to make the changes over the phone which I greatly appreciated. We did have to pay a hefty penalty to change the tour to the following day, but we understood that it was the admission fees for both museums. A bummer but we didn’t want to cancel the tour! The change fee was totally worth it to see and experience the marvels on this tour!
