- DanF8050 contributionsAsk for Guido as your guideGuided by a young man, named Guido our 90-minute tour of the Museum was perfect, in duration, subject matter and number of visitors (9) in the group. Guido was able to weave the story of the chronological development of art in Italy and how it led to the Renaissance art my wife and I enjoy so much. Yes, you can stay much longer at the museum but for us, 90 minutes was the right amount of time.Written November 7, 2024

Felt Humble to be in the Uffizi.. she was patient and guided us and provided detailed information on each specific era and paintingsWritten October 27, 2024
- Cesarvq0 contributionsOur guide shined over the DavidFirst of all, I believe this trip wouldn't have been so amazing with any other guide besides ours (Angelo), from the meeting point onwards he just kept spilling many interesting facts, theories and everything with a great sense of humor. Along the way he made recommendations of things to do after our tour. The attractions per se were mesmerizing such as the statues at the Piazza della Signoria and of course The David.Written October 25, 2024
- Q1848AUjaneb0 contributionsGreat tour for the limited time in FlorenceThis is an awesome tour for the first time visitors with the limited time in Florence. We visited from cruise ship and only had 4 hours to be in Florence. The gallery is huge and full of masterpieces which makes it difficult to navigate if you only have 2 hours for Uffizi. Our guide gave us a lot of historical information and a good perspective of how the art developed in different phases. He took us to the most interesting exhibits as time allowed. We would not be able to cover the same on our own. Plus the guide was one of the most interesting, intelligent and quirky people I have ever met. Unfortunately, I can’t recall his name. But I am sure all guides there are equally qualified.Written October 24, 2024

- Coastal6975890 contributionsDisappointingWe enjoyed the gallery but the tour felt rushed and was not value for money. Our guide was very upset by a very large group of rude tourists pushing in front of us in the que to get into the gallery. We spent about 30 mins in the que waiting, with her arguing with gallery staff to get us in more quickly. We eventually got in at around 9:30 (our tour time was 9am) so we had already lost 30mins. She mentioned that her next tour was at 10:30 and was quite annoyed and agitated for the rest of our tour. We were rushed around rooms on only one floor and had to stay and look for other important works that we had not seen on our own afterwards. I would not recommend this tour but I think it depends on the organisation and which guide you have.Written October 23, 2024

Her friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge, and personal appreciation of the works and spaces she led us through made the experience next level. We all applauded her afterwards. We then had time to tour the museum ourselves and other sites on our list. I highly recommend signing up for this tour especially if you have a lot to-do in one day. Definitely recommend this "skip the line" ticket. I purchased 4 tix on train enroute to our day excursion to Florence. There were no tix available directly through the museum, but even if there were, the added cost was worth it just to "skip the line" which was a very long wait. We showed up 15 minutes prior to our entry time and zipped right into the museum. There are many beautiful art pieces to see here although the DAVID surely stole my heart :)

The ticket providers did provide the tickets, but there is no real “skip the line”. The museum allows far too many tickets to be sold. We were told they were 30 minutes behind schedule and we couldn’t get in line yet. After 45 minutes we were allowed at the back of a long line and didn’t enter security until 75 minutes after our scheduled time. Once inside, there was a reasonable crowd, but you were able to move easily about and some galleries were almost empty of people.

As an artist I have traveled to a lot of museums. Almost always, I buy tickets directly through the gallery about a week or so in advance. We tried to buy tickets in advance but to my surprise the tickets were completely sold out. If this is your case, I would recommend this experience because day of ticket lines are very long, but if tickets are still available then it’s all the same (but cheaper). The gallery was amazing and so worth seeing but getting into the museum was frustrating. We got tickets for 2:00 and arrived at 1:45, finding the person we were supposed to get tickets from was difficult and when we finally did find him he informed us that he did not have any more tickets for 2:00. We were given tickets for 2:30 and told that we should come back in an hour because the museum was running behind (this is not the fault of this company, but if possible get early tickets). We didn’t enter the gallery until 3:30. It seems that a lot of these companies buy up tickets from the gallery far in advance and sell them for profit, as everyone we chatted with in line had the same experience as us. Don’t miss this gallery and get the tickets, but if you can buy directly from the gallery, do that.

Booked the Skip the Line: Florence's Accademia Gallery Priority Entrance Ticket. As we approached the entrance to the gallery a number of reps had been waiting in the street asking people what they had booked, showed my ticket and a lovely gentleman took us straight to the entrance, gave us a ticket and we had been in! fab service. I would highly recommend getting a skip the line ticket, the queue when we arrived had been at least an hour long.

Total scam. We went on a Sunday and they don't even do skip the line on Sunday so I basically waited in the museum line to be told I have to find the tour I signed up for who have my tickets. When I finally found the "guide" who wasn't easy to find he handed me my tickets and said to get in line, which he basically bought in the line I jut got out of, because they don't do skip the line on Sundays or something to that effect. So I paid triple the price. Lesson learned.

Dear Client,
We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us. It's very important for us to improve our services.
On Saturdays and Sundays, there won't be a general admission line to purchase the tickets line in the weekdays because the museum is allowed visitors just with prior reservations.
The ticket which you used to enter the museum was a reserved time entrance ticket. According to the time mentioned on the ticket, Museum allows visitors to enter, and since they are checking the Vaccination cards and the security check usually it takes 10 to 15 minutes.
As we have mentioned on the voucher visitors should come to our meeting point to receive the actual tickets to enter the museum.
Since you didn't come to the meeting point and went straight to the Museum entrance before you pick the tickets you had to pass through the Vaccination scan + security check twice and we really sorry for that.
We have included a small service charge on top of the ticket price and absolutely not twice the price.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience that occurred.

This ticket pick-up worked seamlessly. As we approached the address we were given a professionally attired woman approached us with a tablet, found our names and handed us our tickets. I highly recommend, especially for those (like us) who wait too long to book directly through the museum.

I'm very glad we bought this. We arrived at the Accademia and it seemed so busy and we were unsure where to start. But immediately,a helper came up, told us where to stand to be collected by our guide and he appeared almost immediately and took us the right queue and we were in within 10 minutes. The experience itself was great, just right amount of people, not too busy and it was well worth the money.

This is only necessary if you are visiting during the busier seasons; I was there in December, and even though the city appeared mostly full, the line was almost non-existent. There was no point in skipping the line as there really wasn't one. The meeting point was obscure, and the directions were not good, once the guy showed up, he barely said a word, and once we reached the security line inside, he completely disappeared. The venue was great though.

I studied abroad in Florence for a month many years ago and never went to the Accademia bc the line was always insane. Skip the line didn’t exist back then. I booked my tickets months before the trip and as soon as we got to Florence we walked straight to the Accademia, met the guy waiting outside with the tickets and went into a line with 2 people in front of us vs the regular line which snaked a block. This is the ONLY way to see the Accademia if you’re in Florence with limited time.

I'm very disappointed with this tour and the people who run it. I had bought the 2 tickets to visit the Accademia Gallery on the 15th of November as we were in Florence as part of a cruise. I had bought the tickets specifically for 11am in the morning as this will give us enough time to visit the Gallery and to do other things in Florence before we have to depart to the next port. On the 14th of November at 15:37, i received an email from 'Things To do in FZCO' stating that due to a meeting that will be held tomorrow, the venue will be closed in the morning and I should pick up my tickets at 15pm or another time or another day. I immediately responded to the email stating that I can NOT change the time because I am on a cruise schedule and if it was possible to get a refund. The email that was sent to me was less than 24 hrs notice and as i was at sea, I could not call the tour guide to let them know. Even now, I have not heard back from the tour group on a refund. I did not get to visit the Gallery due to a time change that was communicated less than 24 hrs and I did not receive a refund for the tickets. Will not recommend this tour as the customer service is terrible.
