- stanmorris0940 contributionsYou gotta do itWhole trip to Florence was amazing. It was my 80th birthday present from my partner. The architecture, sculptures, painting were a sight to behold . Also went on bus tour to Sienna,Pisa .San Gimignano with a tour guide who was wonderful. The trip also included a visit to a vineyard for tastings and lunch, thoroughly recommend it ,we went with a company called Ciao Florence, couldn't fault it. We also took the train to Lucca, we'll worth a visit away from the crowds. Took the public bus to Fiesole ,fantastic views over the Tuscan countryside and Florence. Lastly I thought I had died and gone to heaven with the cuisine pasta especially.Written September 24, 2022

We were both looking forward to this, our first Italian Opera in Italy.
On entering the venue a Church we were surprised how hot it was inside. I have been to many church’s in my time and one thing is they are either cold or cool in the summer months. The week we went was a much cooler week than previous.
We paid for VIP tickets so great front row seats. Even before sitting down I was already sweating. All they had was fans at the rear of the church.
I am very much used to heat but this was crazy, having sat down and tried to cool down the sweating for worse and I noticed others suffering.
7 mins into the start of the show I had to leave it was frankly ridiculously hot in there.
I felt instant relief leaving the church and sat and had a cold drink while watching many others leave the venue.
Waste of money €110 ! avoid as the venue is hot beyond belief.

This is not an Opera, nor should you think that it is based on the description or the price. It is what it is advertised to be, an selection of popular Opera songs performed by singers who are not currently touring with actual productions. It seems like some people expect this to be a formal performance with a full orchestra, stage sets, and costumes...not sure why they would get that idea. Well done! A fine way to spend the early evening in Florence.

We purchased tickets spur of the moment because we always wanted to see an opera type show in Italy.
The venue was great! Their voices were great, I even had goosebumps a few times… and no I was not cold.
Only thing is, the dancers could not be seen unless sitting up front. (We purchased center seats)

It was an incredible experience! The sound was beautiful and the tenors were very expressive. There was no need to understand the language because the emotions flowed out with their voices and gestures. The only disappointment was not hearing Nessun Dorma. It my favorite song and was in the name of the concert.

The whole thing a little strange! Tenors and musicians came on stage, no dialogue at all to introduce themselves. Looked rather casually dressed not what I expected and they kept leaving the stage and then coming back on again. I had read reviews which weren’t great so didn’t have high expectations but still disappointed! The ballet dancers were a nice addition but could only be seen from the front couple of rows.
We had booked VIP so we’re in the second row.
Not something I would recommend really.

My Mother was over the moon for this experience. The even cried a bit when they sang songs she remembered hearing Pavarotti sing. She waived her hands in the air like a veteran conductor and her eyes never left the "stage" from which the tenors sang. It was the highlight of her 2 week Italian trip and something she will not stop discussing. It made for a fantastic memory for me to see her so happy. I enjoyed it too. The facility was amazing and provided a wonderful venue to see this show. Highly recommend. If you get VIP tickets, get there early to get the front row. All seats are fine, but if you have a tenor lover in your group, just spend the money and be up front!

Joyful and uplifting; a true musical treat in a beautiful, historic church setting. Don't miss this evening of opera. Even someone who is not an opera buff will appreciate this top hits of opera event. Great performance by the Three Tenors. Also, this event was very well-managed, all seats are great.

The tenors were amazing; their voices so perfect and powerful. I brought my mama to this concert because she’s an opera fan (I’m generally not), and I am the one who ended up in tears as they sang Neasun Dorma so beautifully. A wonderful experience!
The VIP seats are not expensive and well worth reserving. If I could make one change: the chairs are really uncomfortable.

Expecting more. Some was interesting some was boring one of the tenors had a great voice. I was not impressed with the other 2. The 2 dancers added a nice touch but you couldn’t see them. I would not recommend this entertainment. You’re in Florence!

Never been to an opera before and never really wanted to BUT this was such fun, snippets of various well known operas was a good introduction.
Warning don’t order a bottle of house white next door without asking the price. Was charged 60 euros!
