  • Tour two authentic Italian wineries and enjoy generous tastings
  • Wander the streets of medieval San Gimignano on the way back to Florence
What to Expect
Head to the meeting point in Florence, then travel via air-conditioned coach into the Tuscan countryside. The first stop is a winery and tasting school where you learn the essentials to develop your palate. Taste different wines, including the world-famous Chianti Classico. Also taste a 30-year-old balsamic vinegar, plus truffle oil and extra virgin olive oil. Next, head to a second winery located in the Vernaccia white-wine region for a vintner-led tour of the entire wine production process from vineyard to cellar. Learn about pairings and sample a rosè, a Vernaccia white, and a Colli Senesi Chianti. Finally, wander the well-preserved, medieval town of San Gimignano at your own pace. Browse handcrafted shops, climb the Torre Grossa for the best view of the city, sample some of the best gelato in Italy, and mingle with the other young travelers on your tour before the ride back to Florence.
