      Disappointing:(
First I would like to say that our two tour guides, Cicelia and Santiago were wonderful. Very knowledgeable and were very helpful learning the scooters. With that said, I was extremely disappointed in the tour itself, was not what I imagined at all. When I signed up, I thought we would ride our scooters in the Tuscan country side. I thought we would stop for lunch, drive some more, stop for a glass of wine and also the mentioned olive oil tasting. When you leave the garage with the scooters, you are on a busy road with cars the entire time. We drove 40 minutes to a small town in the Chianti region. We were told we could walk around the town for 30 minutes, and then we drove back to the garage. We then walked 5 minutes to a winery and tasted wine and two olive oils and had lunch. While we were on the scooters, we did drive through breathtaking views, unfortunately we never stopped so I do not have a single picture of the beauty I saw. Driving a Vespa is a little tricky and needs your total concentration since you are on the roads with cars and going 50km/hr at times. This tour took a total of 5 hours, I would not recommend this tour. I have booked 10 tours for my trip in Italy, and this is my first negative review. Some people might like it, but I feel they misrepresent this experience.

      Unforgettable Vespa and Wine Tour
Had the best time in the Vespa tour, the ride was beautiful, the tour guides Haded and Cecilia were fantastic, they made sure everyone was safe, comfortable riding the Vespa before starting. The winery tour was also great, great wine, food and some new friends.

Early tour that beats the crowds
Good tour of the Duomo with knowledgeable guide. You’ll climb a lot of steps, definitely wear good shoes. Maria was a great guide and explained a lot of history and context of the Baptistery and Cathedral. The highlight of the trip is the dome of the church, both the upper gallery and the rooftop. This tour is great because your group is the first inside the church, Baptistry and up to the roof: you will beat the crowd and not wait in any lines. Also, coffee and a pastry are included after you meet up!

Worth it for so many reasons.
This was a fantastic tour of the Uffizi museum. The guide was extremely well versed on the history of Florence and the artwork of the museum. Truly a world class museum celebrating Renaissance masters. On top of the great tour, you don't have to wait in line!

      Hand made pizza
Excellent and we had fun. Never knew I could make such a delicious pizza! And the gelato! When we left, we'd walk by stores selling "gelato", and say, "ice cream".

      Great cooking class
This is an excellent market tour and cooking class. Our guide and chef, Roberta, was patient and helpful. We made several traditional dishes and then had them as a late lunch. Great experience!

This is the class to sign up for!
What a fun experience! David taught us pizza making lessons we could bring back t our own kitchens. He taught us food history and how to spot the purest gelato around town. He was hands on with our six year old and made everyone feel valued.

      Robbery
Robbery! Don’t do that! You will get a normal simple tour (no special places, no super historian) BUT you will pay 109e for a ticket which in fact costs just 45e. A true robbery. Trip Advisor not only took more than 100% surcharge but also put us in Spanish speaking group!!! Go directly to Towns of Italy, ie local operator, and you will get not only ticket for 45e but also discounts!!!!

      Touring Tuscany on a Vespa!
This tour was so much fun! We had amazing tour guides Haider and Cecelia who made sure everyone was comfortable riding the Vespa's. They shared facts about the city. We made a stop at Mugnana Church and had such a beautiful view with photo ops. The dinner was so tasty and the wine was great! We had such a great time with our group. We'd recommend to everyone!

Such a fun experience! This was our favorite tour during our trip in Italy. Our guides Horacio & Chiara, and van driver Jakob were all fantastic! They made sure you felt comfortable driving before starting the tour and were very informative and friendly. The sights were beautiful and the lunch and wine were all delicious.

      Best experience of our trip!
This was one of the best run tours I have ever been on. The guides were so friendly and they genuinely seemed like they enjoy what they do. We were blessed with amazing weather making our ride even more perfect! If you are looking for a day trip to get you out of the busyness of Florence this is an incredible option. For the price you get so much too! The food that was provided was amazing and the stops they take you on were really special.

A ton of fun with a very charismatic instructor who spoke perfect English. After an hour of touring the market, we then learned how to make two types of pasta and tiramisu. We actually enjoyed this more because we were with other people and could enjoy it more as a communal experience, so in hindsight we're glad we didn't do a private cooking class.

This was exactly what we hoped it would be and in particular our two 12-year-old daughters loved it!

This was one of our favorite experiences during this two-week trip (best one of my lifetime so far!)! This was arranged by our travel agents in advance, as a group class for just my husband and myself and our two dearest friends. Chef David met us in the morning, and we walked first to an olive oil company for a tasting and very educational talk; then a stop for coffee; then a bakery to pick up a snack; then to an outdoor produce market to pick up the fresh ingredients for the class. Then we went to the restaurant which was open just to us. It made us feel so special! Chef David is a great teacher, and we made two kinds of pasta, pesto, tomato sauce, eggplant parmigiana, and tiramisu. Then, after all that, we were seated in this restaurant that we had all to ourselves, and enjoyed the fruits of our labors. It was a very memorable day, and we plan to all get together to recreate this meal to celebrate our trip! Thank you, Chef David!

The Cooking Masterclass & Food Walking Tour was fantastic! Federico, the chef for our class of 10, was very personable, informative and we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes he helped us create. The walking tour was delightful. We sampled delicacies at two bakeries and then moved on to the Mercato, where we sampled the most wonderful cheese, and got the chicken for one of the dishes we made. This was definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Florence!

We enjoyed the day (6 hours) of talking with our chef, Frederico, about Italian food with a little history background. He has an obvious passion for what he does. The market tour to buy the groceries was mixed with education about what we were looking at and a couple tastings. The food we cooked was fantastic.

The cooking class was the most fun activity we did while we were in Florence! Chefs Catarina and David were fantastic. There were four in our group, including two teens. They also agreed it was a fun day. The class was pretty full the day we did it, with about 16 people. The market tour was fairly quick, and interesting. Got tips on what to look for when buying various items. We made tiramisu, and rolled our own pasta. The team did majority of the work, by making sauces and fillings. Plus, they did the dishes!

What a great half day! This was a much better way to enjoy Florence and not running around the city. Dont get me wrong we did that too but this was a way better way to relax and enjoy good food and a great chef! Thomas was our instructor. He was great. He was very informative, fun, and personable. We had our family of 8 with us, aging from 80 to 14 years. The market experience was tasty and beautiful. Our dishes were made were the best ravioli on our whole trip. We plan to have a big Italian new year here at home to share our wonderful recipes we learned! Thomas thank you for a great time!

This was our favorite experience during our trip to Florence. We have been to the city several times and wanted to do something different. Our class was on a Sunday, so the food market was closed, but the class was still a 10/10 for us! Our instructor, David, was friendly and knowledgeable, he explained everything very well and answered all of our questions. We got to make tiramisu, tagliatelle, ravioli, a ragĂą sauce, a pesto sauce, and they also had some bread dough prepped for baking during our class. There was a small portion of downtime while waiting for the pasta to rest and we were served wine (soda/water available for those who did not drink) and a cheese/salami plate, along with the bread mentioned above. We were provided all the recipes and I feel confident we can actually make these at home. The location itself is set up perfectly for the classes and allowed you to see the process from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this class, and would not hesitate to go back and try their other classes.

The walk through the Central Market in Florence activated all the senses. It was followed by step-by-step instructions about how to cook the most delicious food. Meeting other people in the class and hearing about their travel experiences just added to the pleasure of the day. To then eat for lunch what we had cooked was amazing. It was the most wonderful experience and well worth the money and the time spent.

After reading previous reviews, we were looking forward to this class but were quite disappointed. The stops at bakery, coffee and olive oil shop were ok, but it would have been much more interesting to visit the local markets and even bought food to cook. Everything seemed very staged and rote, without much enthusiasm by the leader/chef. Not once did she try and engage the group to introduce themselves and get to know each other, which was a first in classes we've taken before. Helping the group get to know each other makes for a better experience. While we did preparation we couldn't be in the kitchen to see it cook as the restaurant area was very small. Also, being more generous with the wines would have added to the experience. Overall, way over priced and over promised experience.

Dear Sharon, first of all thank you for joining a Florencetown tour. We appreciate the time and effort you have spared to give us this review. We always accept all reviews as an essential element in our strive to continually maintain and exceed expectations, as well as provide the highest standards on our tours. I am sorry to read the tour did not meet your expectations. Our apologies for this, first of all. You booked our VIP Semi-private Cooking Masterclass and Florence Food Walking tour, which (as the name and its description say) includes a food walking tour before the actual class, to discover a few authentic bottegas and have some tastings of local gourmet food there. We have two other different cooking classes which both include a visit to the market. So probably these two other cooking classes would have better matched the kind of experience you were looking for. I absolutely agree with you when you say that the personal touch that such a small-group class allows (having a maximum of 10 guests) should make the difference, and the atmosphere that a class like this should have is friendly and intimate. It is difficult for me to understand which chef was on the class as we have a team of chefs and I do not know the date in which you joined the tour. That kind of atmosphere is the one our chef are usually great at creating, as you can read from the other reviews. But it is clear that it wasn't the case for your tour. I will try my best to investigate and see which chef was on the tour to talk to her and understand what happened. Again, our apologies for this. Let me please invite everyone to read several reviews on our tours, to have a more complete perspective on the quality that Florencetown delivers on them. Thank you for your feedback and looking forward to welcoming you back to Florence! Best regards Edoardo Giacometti Director of Regular Tours - Florencetown
