Well organized, interesting, delicious and FUN!

The market tour was fantastic with many tastings of the excellent product's Italy has to offer. The market reflected very well the amazing biodiversity of Italy, the high quality and adherence to tradition.

The market tour lasted long enough to really see everything.

The cooking class was very well organized with lots of hands on help by the instructor. There were 25 people in the class divided up on six tables so plenty of room and interaction with other foodies. It was fun! the outcome was delicious an we enjoyed a very good meal after our efforts served along with a delicious. Chianti.

My wife and I returned home with a greater appreciation of fresh pasta and simiple sauces made with good ingredients. I now make my own ravioli!

This is a tour not to be missed if you enjoy fine food and like to cook.

The only thing missing was RECIPES! It would of been nice to have recipes to take home since we learned so many dishes.

Our tour led by Niccolo was so very enjoyable and informative. After starting at a stop where we learned about estate-bottled olive oils from Paulo Prunetti, we then crossed the Arno and shopped at a food market in St. Spiritu plaza. We then went to a nearby restaurant and prepared fresh pasta, tomato sauce, pesto sauce and tiramisu, which we then enjoyed at the end along with the other couple in our class. Niccolo answered all our questions and taught us new techniques -- he is extremely knowledgeable and practical. A highlight of our trip to Tuscany!

This was one of our favorite experiences during this two-week trip (best one of my lifetime so far!)! This was arranged by our travel agents in advance, as a group class for just my husband and myself and our two dearest friends. Chef David met us in the morning, and we walked first to an olive oil company for a tasting and very educational talk; then a stop for coffee; then a bakery to pick up a snack; then to an outdoor produce market to pick up the fresh ingredients for the class. Then we went to the restaurant which was open just to us. It made us feel so special! Chef David is a great teacher, and we made two kinds of pasta, pesto, tomato sauce, eggplant parmigiana, and tiramisu. Then, after all that, we were seated in this restaurant that we had all to ourselves, and enjoyed the fruits of our labors. It was a very memorable day, and we plan to all get together to recreate this meal to celebrate our trip! Thank you, Chef David!

David was a great tutor and a very nice chap! We had a very interesting walk through Florence including a stop at an olive oil outlet and producer. We also stopped at an artisan bakery and bought fresh vegatables at a street market, before reaching the teaching restaurant. Where we had a great cooking class making our own lunch. We made three dishes. Spaghetti with Pesto Genovese, Cavatelli Alla Sorrentina, and Parmigiana Di Melanzana. We had a great day and would recommend it to anyone with six hours to spare in Florence.

The walk through the Central Market in Florence activated all the senses. It was followed by step-by-step instructions about how to cook the most delicious food. Meeting other people in the class and hearing about their travel experiences just added to the pleasure of the day. To then eat for lunch what we had cooked was amazing. It was the most wonderful experience and well worth the money and the time spent.

Katerina was amazing! We learned so much from her thought process when selecting ingredients from the market to discovering the secrets to creating the best gnocchi we have ever eaten. It’s a very hands on experience and you will be stunned by the end product you create. Katerina was an incredible teacher I would absolutely love to learn from again and again.

Niccolo (our guide and Chef) walked with us around Florence, as we visited a bakery, a coffee shop, and an olive oil/balsamic vinegar tasting, before arriving at a the restaurant, Olio, where he taught us how to make gnocchi, eggplant and biscotti. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch we prepared. It was a small (6 people) group, and we had personal attention. It was an excellent experience. I would sign up for this class again and again!!
