Antonio took us on our tour and the experience could not have been better. Fantastic insights, lots and lots of wine, and great conversation between guests and the host. We highly recommend a visit to the shops and dining establishments with Antonio, a Florentine who loves to cook but also loves to learn and bring together cultures. The shops and bistros he took us to were full of great staff and amazing food. 10/10 would do this again with this gentleman.

We had such a fantastic time with Laura! She was a true professional, a true pro, a sommelier, and she constantly displayed her infinite knowledge of all things wine and food at every turn!
I had read in a few reviews saying small quantities of food..NOT! Every restaurant she took us took us to, provides generous quantities of high caliber food and the wine was perfectly paired, our only complaint is that we can’t go again this weekend! loved the tour, loved Laura...perfect way to start our trip to Florence and Tuscany, if you’re confused about what tour to take and you love food and wine, chose this one and Laura!

Hello garryo8893, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience from your recent Dine Around Florence Tour! We really are delighted that our food tour impressed you so much, we are very proud of this particular experience. We also think that Laura is a perfect match for this tour, as she is so passionate about the Florence food scene. The food quantities and restaurants visited have been carefully considered each step of the way, so we really appreciate that you enjoyed it all so thoroughly! Thank you again for your kind recommendation, we shall be passing on you lovely words to Laura and her guide manager who will both be delighted that you left us as such a satisfied guest. Although you may not be back again this weekend, we do hope to see you again soon! Warmest regards, The Walks Team

This tour had both good and bad points. The good points were we had an insightful tour guide, sharing her knowledge on the local scenery and showing us hidden spots away from the tourists. If you like wine, you will have a great time sampling. If you’re lucky enough to be in a small group then there’s plenty of wine to go around! However, I had much high expectations of the food as it was meant to be a food tour. First tasting was fine with cold meats, second tasting was good as they offered bread with different pastes but they should have been more generous with the amount they slap on the finger sized bread pieces. The final dinner was the most disappointing. The food was good, but portions were really small. Servings between members in the group were not equally portioned and there were people complaining about this. Literally tasting a handful of 3 different dishes for dinner. And finally, the gelato...mmm...there are much better places I have to admit. I think this tour should have a bigger emphasis on food as advertised.

Hello Ahe J Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us! We rely on our customer's feedback to always improve, so we are always grateful for your comments, both positive and negative. We are terribly sorry you felt that the portion sizes were unfair and the food less than satisfactory, as that was not at all our intention. As getting around a foreign area to visit local shops to showcase the best cuisine could pose unexpected food distribution issues, we do our best to provide true dishes that represent the true cuisine of the area. As a result, the portion sizes at these restaurants might be more true to European dishes than those in other countries. We put the same attention in selecting the venues where our guests stop to eat and we are sorry to read the places you had eaten did not meet your expectations. The owners of these restaurants have been cooperating with us for years and has only received good feedback so far, so I am really surprised to receive such comments about them. We avoid bigger restaurants and shops as our aim is to always provide an authentic local experience including good and local food while staying away from commercial companies. I will make sure to pass along your feedback to our Product Manager, who will watch them more closely from now on. Again, we are terribly sorry you were not satisfied with this tour, especially since this seems to be the only experience you had with us! We work very hard to ensure the success of our tours and provide only the highest quality services and hope that if you ever return you will decide to walk with us again! Warmest regards, Kat

We were in a group of nine from all around the world. Tour guide was very knowledgable and enternatining - we learnt so much about Italian food and wine as we sampled. We did four stops. First was meat and cheese with table wine. Then to a wine shop where we samples two wines and three types of bruschetta. Next was a three course meal, again with table wine. We finished with gelato. All was totally delicious. Highly recommend.

This was such a fun excursion! Our tour guide, Erisa, was outstanding! She knew her wine, her food and Florence! So much fun going to the wine store/cellar/restaurant. Had great wine, Italian meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables! Then went to a great restaurant and had the special Italian soup, pasta and dessert. Just a great evening with really nice people and a fantastic tour guide.

Informative, engaging, educational, stimulating, delicious, and fun! I was fortunate to be in a small group of 5 with 2 exceptional guides, Nebo and Florinda. The route through Oltrarno was well thought-out with aperitivo, several wines, multi-course meal, and gelato all enjoyed while discussing Florentine/Italian history, lore, customs, and art. Origins, production processes, and quality assurances/indicators of both wines and olive oil were detailed. I would have liked more food, both types and amount, when at the actual meal. With our small group it was adequate but a bit underwhelming. I thought we were to have cacio e pepe, didn't happen. While I had been to Florence several times, I was not familiar with Oltrarno and thought this may be a good introduction. I can say it was, absolutely. Most importantly, this experience did not feel like many organized tours I have taken; rather it felt like an enjoyable gathering of good friends. I highly recommend, but more of a focus on the experience, not the cuisine.

We had an excellent tour in the Santo Spirito area. We started with delicious wine, cheese and hams from a local butcher. We went to a special store that sold vintage wine and had a variety of vinegars, oils, truffles and delicious wines. We capped it off with a nice dinner near the palace. Ask for Elena as you guide. She is excellent. She really explained the neighborhood.

It was beginning to rain when we met our guide Regina at Piazza Santo Spirito. Our group numbered 14 which appeared to be a good size. The first stop had a couple of nice wines with some bread based antipasto. The simple bruschetta was super, as was the liver. Next restaurant a short walk had some cold meats/salami and cheese. This was accompanied by a red table wine. The third restaurant had a tomato soup that is not actually a soup but tasted lovely, follwed by pasta with a stunning pork based sauce. Finally a small portion of meat that had been cooked for 3 hours and was so soft. It was accompanied by a few small potatoes, but by this time I was full so left one. Finally onto our last stop where we had 2 scoops of our choice of gelato . . . they were scrummy! Regina's knowledge and commentary were excellent and she managed the pace of the tour well.
