    A waste of time
The first vineyard was a bit boring, we didn't get to see any actual vineyard at all, we just spent in indoors and at the end a few minutes in the garden, you'd expect they offer you at least one glass but they don't, if you want you'll have to buy it The second vineyard was much nicer but we arrived at after sunset so we couldn't see anything, we should've came to the second vineyard first to enjoy the outdoors and the vineyards I thought it's a waste of time to be honest,

    Family fun in Florence!
Matthew and Stefano were spectacular. Matthew was a legit long time chef born and raised in Florence and took time to explain all the steps with story telling to go along about his life in Florence. Took 3 children in their twenties and we laughed the whole time. We made the most delicious Ragu and tomato sauce with Tagliatelle and Ravioli. We will surely use the recipes again and again and will think of this experience! Unforgettable Florence experience! Do with your family and / or friends!!

Great morning of cooking and local culture
Really lovely cooking morning with the ciao team. We had a nice mix of people from different countries and made some lovely recipes. We particularly liked the traditional ragu bolognaise which was completely different to how we make it in England but delicious and rich. The tiramisu could have done with some alcohol but again maybe that is a British thing! Overall a lovely morning and a break from all the great sights seeing in Florence.

    Chianti Wine Tours
Awesome experience! Exactly what we expected when planning this excursion into Tuscany area. Our travel guide and hosts at the two wineries we visited were all excellent story tellers of the areas and histories of the winemaking. This tour was absolutely worth the time and money!!

Half day Chianti vineyard escape from Florence
Gabrielle was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and great sense of humor. The two vineyards we visited had wonderful wines and delicious snacks, including vegetarian for me, which was very much appreciated. Our driver, Antonio, navigated the narrow roads getting us there and back safely. We enjoyed our tour immensely.

Fair value for the travel cost of bus alone, but tour guide was little more than a shepard and the reversed order of towns from advertised itinerary severely limited free time in Montepulciano. No real guide information beyond reading the same itinerary (in English and Spanish) that comes straight from the website. Beyond the bus rides and wine tastings, which are easily available in both towns, there is zero information on the history of the towns or the region.

It was a very nice trip with beautiful landscapes in Val d’Orcia, we passed by the Gladiator film location in Tuscany. Kosimo is a very good driver . Claudia our guide she was friendly, but her English was not good we bearly understood when she was speaking while she was reading a presentation from the papers. She also translated into Spanish for the group and I understood better the Spanish translatation. Comparing to the trip in Chianti the organization to Val d’Orcia was not that great. The wine tasting, especially the first one was not that great, we arrived at the winery around 10 am and was not a good time to drink wine in the morning. After that we arrived in Pienza and we didn’t have enough time to visit the city. On the other hand we stayed longer at Montepulciano, even smaller city where not much things to see and the wine tour which was it was a free tour offered by the winery not something dedicated for us.

We took the Val D'Orcia tour, with wine tasting paired with cheese in Montepulcino and wine tasting in Montalcino, plus a visit to Pienza. Checking in with Ciao Florence was smooth, as was the entire tour, leaving around 8.15 am and returning early evening ahead of schedule. The rich green hues of Val D'Orcia on a sunny day in late spring are magnificent, particularly set alongside the warm stone of the buildings in the three towns we visited. The views from Pienza were particularly good. As well, each of Montepulcino and Pienza had interesting historical churches and other buildings to visit, with somewhat less in Montalcino. We aren't wine buffs, so for us the wine tastings were a mildly interesting extra, but the wines seem to be appreciated by our more knowledgeable fellow travellers. AUD150 or so each for the tour is a significant outlay, but the price compares well with other similar tours and it is not easy to get to see Val D'Orcia any other way if you're not travelling by car. Overall, this tour was one of the most enjoyable days of our Italian holiday, and well worth the expense. Thoroughly recommended.

This was a nice day out of Florence on Dec 31. The bus (coach) was clean, the driver drove safely, the tour leader was charming and gave a good overview of the locations we visited. The wine and cheese tasting at Fattoria della Talosa in Montepulciano was delicious. In Pienza we had enough time to see the gorgeous view behind the duomo, we enjoyed a nice lunch in our own, and we did a bit of shopping. Next we went to Montalcino for wine tasting (no cheese or nibbles) at Padelletti. Recently released Brunello can be tough to love so we did not enjoy it as much. Thankfully we had enough free time afterward for a stop at Enoteca di Piazza (where over 100 wines can be sampled) where we were able to try a few favorites from various wineries. This tour is a nice intro to two different wine areas and to the beautiful countryside. For people wanting to do a bit of tasting without driving or hiring a private driver this tour is a good option. It’s a LOT of ground to cover in one day but it was a great day even in winter! As we departed Montalcino, even though it was already almost dark on New Year’s Eve, the tour leader and driver made a special stop at Santa Maria del Soccorso so that we all could admire and take photos of the sunset across the valley!

Wonderful day spent touring the Tuscan country side. All 3 towns were lovely places to explore without the usual throngs of tourists. The 2 winery tours were informative and the wine and cheese pairings were delicious. Our tour guide, Renata, worked tirelessly to share her knowledge of the area as well as translating between 3 languages effortlessly. Kudos to our amazing driver, Franco, who negotiated hairpin turns and roundabouts with ease and care. I highly recommend this day trip!

Absolutely amazing tour and so worth the money!! Sara was a great guide for us and gave lots of information about the areas we visited. Pienza was our personal favorite, we had a great lunch there (per Sara’s recommendation). Would recommend to anyone looking to explore rural areas of Tuscany that are less busy and very relaxing.

Excellent tour, we got to visit some beautiful places and sample some delicious wines and cheeses. Our guide Constantine was excellent, full of charisma and knew all the answers to our groups questions. Paul our coach driver navigated some difficult terrain but we felt safe at all times. Overall we felt we were in good hands throughout the entire 12 hour tour. Definitely recommended as you experience the beautiful Italian countryside and UNESCO protected region with stunning vineyards, olive and cyprus trees, which you wouldn't normally see on a city break.

We recently took the Full Day Tour to Val d'Orcia and Gladiator's Fields with Wines, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations based on the description. If you’re simply looking for transportation to see the smaller towns of the area, this tour will serve its purpose, but if you’re hoping for a more traditional guided experience, this isn’t the tour for you.

First, the description of the tour should be updated, as it is not what most people would envision when they read "tour." The guide, Marina, was understandable when directly reading off notes but had difficulty with conversational English. Unfortunately the majority of the time she struggled to understand what people were asking. Additionally, the tour is conducted in both English and Spanish, but several times, the information was provided in Spanish without any equivalent in English.

Additionally, the lunch option was absolutely terrible. The wine was undrinkable and the entire experience was overpriced for the overall quantity and quality.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the wine tastings were underwhelming. The servings were very small, much smaller than what we’ve experienced at other tastings, and this left us feeling unsatisfied, especially given the focus of the tour.

Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this tour if you’re looking for a well-organized, informative, and enjoyable experience. While we appreciate the opportunity to visit some beautiful locations, the tour didn’t live up to our expectations, and we likely wouldn’t choose it again.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence. The guide Fredirico was great and very knowledgeable; he was fluent in both English and Spanish, and provided equal time to both languages when providing information. Value for money for the tour was excellent, and it provides a very authentic experience of Tuscany. The wine tasting at each location was very enjoyable, and the wine was excellent.

The driver Joe was very punctual and make the trip most efficient, Claudia also help with the time management of the spots, regarding the spots is the trip I would’ve like if we got to see more of the towns since the wine tours were quite quick and mostly involved just the drinking of wine without much explanation. Compare to other wine tastings I had have it leaves me wishing for a more detailed experience. Otherwise it was an interesting tour with a trilingual guide who does her best to make sure everyone understands the explanations. While there were some rude, nasty people on the bus she behaved in a lost professional way.
