A private gluten free cooking class
Because we needed to do the Gluten Free class, my family of five received essentially a private cooking class from our wonderful chef. The space was dedicated gluten free with labeled gluten free mixers and dedicated cooking utensils. We also learned a lot about how to compensate for the lack of gluten in pasta.

      Really fun
We had a great time with Roberto. He was patient and funny, despite some annoying “classmates.” We learned a lot and the food (and wine) was so good! We will definitely be trying these recipes at home 🫶🏽

      Fun, food, and wine!
The chef leading our class was a lot of fun and all the food was delicious! The business also has a great wine bar with lots of local wines and beers.

      Celiac safe gluten free!
Chef Vary let us decide what type of pasta we would like to make, and pick out fresh ingredients and flavours we like. She taught us valuable techniques and tips for being in the kitchen and making gluten free pasta. She was knowledgeable and made us feel at home and comfortable. My mom is a Celiac and felt comfortable because it was a designated gluten free kitchen. It was a memorable experience for both of us. Grazie!

Great experience with Vegan/ vegetarian pasta class
We really enjoyed the pasta class. We chose the vegan and vegetarian class because of allergies. The class was small and so interesting. We will definitely make pasta when we get home

Ok - just don’t think you will make better pasta than you can order anywhere in town
The class is in a nice kitchen attached to a wine shop. The owners of the wine shop are great, as is the selection of beer and wine. The class fell a little flat for us. The instruction was ok, but the end result was just “meh”. I’ve made better pasta at home and without the top notch semolina flour they use. Giulio was super friendly and helpful. Would have really liked some meat in the sauce or maybe some sausage in the ravioli. Everything we made was vegan and if I’d sat down in a restaurant and they had served me what I made, I’d never order it again. We also felt a little rushed and the teaching was somewhat unorganized - we weren’t allowed to drink wine during the class and at the end we barely finished our pasta and didn’t have enough time to even finish 2 bottles of wine between 8 people before we were rushed out the door. We’ve done several cooking classes and for the $$, we’ve had much better experiences.

      So much delicious fun!!
My sister and I did this class on a Sunday morning and had a great time! And it wasn’t just the wine starting at 10:30 am! Julio was fabulous, entertaining and obviously loves to cook and share food! We would highly recommend this pasta making class. It was one of the best ones I’ve done.

      Love of pasta
Chef Vary is an absolutely charming, fun, and skilled chef. We were only 11 in our class which made this experience so much more private. We learned 3 types of pasta and then we got to taste the fruit of our labor. Thank you for a fabulous experience and your patience for a non cook chef Vary. 😋

Our family did a private cooking class with Chef Vary. She was an absolute delight. She taught us how to make and prepare three types of pasta from scratch. The results were delicious! Our family had a blast with Chef Vary and learned so much in just a few hours. Chef Vary is super knowledgeable and makes cooking simple and fun. Plus, she has a wonderful sense of humor. Our family highly recommends taking a cooking class with Chef Vary!

Chef Vary is fabulous! She curated an amazing Italian "Thanksgiving" feast for us to prepare as we took her class on American Thanksgiving! Turkey meatballs, sweet potato gnocchi and a savory pie. All topped off with blueberry tiramisu! It was truly one of the best meals and evenings of our life. Vary and Edo made us feel so welcome in their home and it was the perfect Italian cooking experience. Right in the heart of Florence, you will find Florence's true heart, Chef Vary! A must for any cooking fan visiting Firenze!

I can't say enough good things about this cooking class. We planned our first trip to Italy many months in advance. I spent so much time reading reviews and looking at cooking classes. I could not find one that would be 'perfect' for us. Then, I stumbled on this one - must have been my lucky day. We ended up with a private class, just the four of us. One just finished culinary school, and the rest of us just every day cooks. ALL of us learned something and it was so very fun! The food we made was THE BEST food we had during our entire trip to Rome, Reggello, and Florence. She is amazing. It was very relaxed and we just loved it. THANK YOU! We will be back if we travel to Italy again.

We booked a class for 9 people with high expectations. We were sent a list of choices of what we could cook in the way of pasta. 4 weeks before the class, we chose 3 pastas that we thought would appeal to our group. Chef Vary greeted us and asked who chose the menu. One of our group raised her hand and Chef vary said, "Why did you pick such a boring menu?" Great way to endear yourself to your guests who are paying to be there! what a nasty way to start! She had 4 weeks to make suggestions if she thought the choices were boring. From there it went downhill. She led us through simple pasta making and then took over at the stove with only one person helping...so everyone else sat there and waited....and sat in their phones with nothing to do....when the food was ready, she just left us to eat it and did not engage at all. she was in the front of the shop having wine with other people! Worst cooking class ever. We didn't even get written or emailed recipes to take home. She is dismissive and nasty. DO NOT GO THERE. I have taken cooking classes all over the world and this was by far the least enjoyable experience.

My daughter-in-law and I took a private cooking class with Chef Vary. It was a great experience. We made a variety of pastas, focaccia bread, and meat sauce. She was very patient and taught use each step. She was also very funny. The food that we made was great. I know that I will make some of the recipes when we get home.

Our family of 4 (with 2 teens) participated in a private cooking class with Chef Vary in her home. My daughter has several food allergies and Chef Vary worked with me to create a delicious allergy-friendly meal for us. She went above and beyond and the food was marvelous. We made 2 types of flavored pasta with amazing and unique sauces for each. We also made 2 types of polpetes and foccacia. It was all very hands on and she gave wonderful directions. All of us loved every minute of it. When the cooking was done, we sat down in her dining room for a private meal for the four of us. Chef Vary and her husband Eduardo were simply wonderful and we loved learning from them and getting to know them. Having this class in their home added to the evening (vs. being in a large group in a classroom setting). I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. This is a MUST DO if you are in Florence.
