An amazing trip through Chianti Classico!
Gabriele was a great guide and Alda a very competent driver. The two wineries were amazing, delivering very tasty wines and amazing atmospheres. The hosts at both wineries were both informative and entertaining.

      a great tour
This was a well organized and meticulously structured tour. Our driver Mario was a rather sympathetic and a 'security-first' guy. Our guides, Svetlana and Canderk, both of them were quite informative, energetic, attentive and helpful by all means. I heartfully recommend this tour to everyone who is interested in the region.

      Good trip
Gabriele was a great guide and Luca was a very safety conscious driver. They were both very kind and friendly. Even though the weather was bad on this trip, we still saw beautiful scenery. Worth recommending.

      Beautiful sites
Meeting spot was easy to get to and close to the train station. A little bit of a drive but worth the views! Stopped briefly at a beautiful site to take pictures and then toured two vineyards. Delicious balsamic! And wine of course. Very beautiful.

      Breathtaking, unforgettable views
The views were amazing at each stop. You have more than enough time to see the views and shop around. Gabriel our tour guide was very good at keeping the group together and letting everyone know the times of when and where to meet. If you are looking for a day trip to pack in and see as much as possible of Cinque Terre, then this is the tour for you.

      Good
Gabrielle and Aldo did a great job. He took us to the 5 cinque terre places as promised. Suggestions for those that want to go for nice pictures, Google Instagram photo places and have them on your map ready because the streets can be confusing and the guide will only point you to The direction from the train station. There is a lot of walking throughout the whole tour so wear comfortable shoes as you'll be on steep roads with lots of stairs.

      Cinque Terre
Gabriel and Aldo were great. Not only they took great care to deliver the best instructions they were constantly making sure everybody was together and not lost. Gabriel was fun, witty yet responsible. I would love to go on another tour with Gabriel.

      Beautiful Cinque Terre!
Excelent tour and hosts, Gabriele y Aldo, they kept us on time and highlighted the important aspects of Cinque Terre. Highly recommended and our only advise is to bring comfortable shoes and be ready for a lot of steps with spectacular views!

Having done the same trip 10 years ago and remembering how wonderful it was, I decided to do it again while visiting Florence. The trip was OK overall however it didn’t have the same feel as last time. The places we visited were just as beautiful as I remembered them last time however the tour itself wasn’t as great.
We shared the group with French speakers therefore had to listen to the same thing in English and in French. Not ideal but not too bad either.
Lunch was poor. No wine or olive oil testing. Unlike last time, the wine given just covered the bottom of the glass (tiny bit of red and tiny bit of white). Starter: bruschetta, main pasta with meat sauce (you can literally count the number of penne pieces, 10 pieces) and some desert wine with biscuits.
In Siena we had a guided tour. The lady was all right but I remember so much more history from the last trip. In San Gimignano, we were shown where we are going to meet and communicated where we can find some places however then our guide left us on our own. It is not like he had other things to do? Last time I remember our guide actually took us to see the most beautiful/monumental spots around the place.
On the way back, our tour guide asked everyone to share if people know good places to eat in Florence which was nice and fun however I didn’t appreciate the comment that if anyone would like to join these girls for dinner they would be glad. I have found this comment a bit suggestive (I travelled with my friend).

Roberto (guide) and Claudio (diver) were very nice. Roberto tried to be helpful and was very informative on the bus, but the quantity of participants (63) and the speed with which Robert walked (fast) off the bus made trying to keep up with him impossible for us. The radios and earphones in Siena were not helpful for us for these reasons. One in our group used a cane and another had a bad back so we assumed we would hang back and see the cities ourselves (we did read the fine print about the tour that says people with ambulatory and back issues should not take the tour). Despite trying to be diligent about getting back to the meeting point, I got lost in Siena and delayed the bus departure for about 15-20 minutes; Roberto was kind enough to wait. Another participant in our group injured his foot on the trip and wanted to remain on the air conditioned bus while the other participants went with the tour but he was told that ‘was impossible’ and he had to get off the bus (and wait in the heat). Lunch was mediocre at best. Tiny wine tasting portions (‘only one per guest’ I was told after a tiny sip of sparkling white wine) were self-defeating for the winery. Each waiter poured different amounts for the tastes as well. It is unsettling and annoying to see the person’s tasting portion across the table from you be almost 3 times the size of yours! Had we been able to enjoy more wine during the lunch, the owners may have been able to sell more wine before we left! The food was very bland. There was not enough meat sauce on the pasta; the pasta was boring. The lunch seemed focused for convenience and on maintaining a relationship with Ciao Florence. The cities on the tour are beautiful but trying to see three of them in one day is too much work. Changing the lunch to a cold, boxed lunch that you stop briefly for would give more time in the cities. The bus was packed full; tough to deal with on super hot days like Florence and Tuscany are experiencing right now as everyone returns to their seat dripping wet with sweat. Water was $1 per bottle on the bus; it should be free.

The cities saved the day. Each is beautiful but the visits too short. The long walks from the bus drop off points to the cities are annoying but necessary to meet UNESCO requirements.

All in all, I’m glad I went… but a private/smaller tour would have been more well-suited to our entourage.

My husband and I went on this tour as part of our honeymoon and I couldn't have been happier! Our tour guide was Elizabeth and Boris was our driver. Elizabeth's personality was basically your long lost aunt who LOVES her hometown and wants to share with you how much she adores her region. I had an amazing time! She was very informative and was very strict on time, which I really appreciated. The bus was roomy and they also sold drinks for a few euros. They views were really pretty!!

The only weird thing that happened was at the winery and I had to get up to use the restroom. On my way there, I witnessed a staff-member of the winery grab a piece of cheese from a plate he was walking with and angrily throw it at a hostess. It sounds harmless but to be honest, it looked... slightly abusive and I felt uncomfortable seeing it happen. He was the manager/host of the winery and when he was publicly speaking/presenting he had a huge smile on his face. I think the fact that his demeanor went completely polar opposite in that split second, I had a red flag go off in my head. We thought about buying some bottles from that winery, but their minimum bottle requirement for shipping was waaaay too much. The cashier who was trying to ring us up let us know about the minimum and she said we should speak to the manager if he could make an exception for us. Based on seeing his angry glare in that second, I chose not to pursue or speak to him so we left with nothing. That balsamic vinegar was mind blowing though. I still think about it from time to time.

Dear Jay, Thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. We are happy to read that you had a good time on the tour and that you enjoyed it. Though, we apologise for that little encounter you had that made you feel uncomfortable. We hope that didn't take away any of the fun you had and we hope to be able to welcome you again soon on another tour with us and perhaps try some more mind blowing balsamic vinegar. :)

I only can recommend this trip if you don’t have a car. It gives you an hour in each city and you can’t see much of each town in the time slot. The winery trip didn’t have good quality wines. You can find a better price and the selection in a grocery store. The lunch was just ok, nothing special-Pasta, bread and cheese. Basically you pay for the transportation. If you end up purchasing this trip get the basic one without the guide or the church visit and download free Rick Steve app track for Siena to listen on your phone on your own. It comes with the map. It is more informative. The local guide wasn’t worth the extra money.

The locations of this tour was great, the bus ride was comfortable, siena cathedral tour guide was excellent

HOWEVER, the escort (Elizabeth) made this a horrible experience. She was unprofessional and it felt like she did not want to be there.

Firstly, she had a poor command of English and spoke in a truncated manner by stringing up English words that she knew, mixed with numerous Italian vocabulary. It was very difficult to follow what she was saying. Her tone was also monotonous and unengaging. Although we signed up for the English tour, Italian was clearly her language preference.

Furthermore she appeared inexperienced in managing a tour group. This tour was large in size but overall cooperative. She did not give clear instructions on meeting times initially, and that resulted in people returning late. She was unable to do a proper roll call, and had little idea on how to troubleshoot when people were late. She was also unable to anticipate problems and assist the tour group. She gave instructions to sit back in our own seats and encouraged us to leave our belongings in our individual seats. However a family was late for the first journey, and was not informed of this. Understandably they were lost and did not know what to do, they sat in other people's seats and that led to a chain of confusion. In the end, other group members had to split up to accommodate the family who insisted on sitting together. Despite the commotion, the escort was completely unaware of this situation, she sat at the front of the bus and did not assist with this situation at all.

All in all, we would have had a much better experience without her, the bus driver alone could have given the basic instructions required.

THe tour was well organized and well run!
It was so cool to see the medieval towns in Tuscany!
It is certainly a must to see sienna, San Giordano and Pisa when in Florence.
We are certainly glad we did.
The cathedral tour in sienna was amazing - definitely recommend getting the guide to explain the amazing art inside - Michelangelo statues included.

My husband and I had a fantastic day trip with Elizabeth (Elizabetta?). Whilst being hugely knowledge about the area, she was also incredibly entertaining!

The scenery throughout is absolutely gorgeous, San Gimignano was a particular highlight of the day! We both very much enjoyed the trip to the vineyard and the delicious lunch. This is advertised as a three course meal, however the final course was only biscotti which I wouldn’t usually consider a whole course.

This is no fault of the organisers at all as the itinerary was very well organised, but due to a few other tourists being unable to stick to time, subsequent parts of the trip felt a little rushed. I think it important to be aware you may be on the tour with 70 other people and a small minority may act in their own interests throughout the day impacting the rest of the group. If you do book this trip, please be mindful of everyone and be on time for each departure!

I would highly recommend the day trip for anyone staying in Florence longer than 2-3 days and looking to see more of Tuscany.

Cristian was AWESOME! He made sure we made it to our destinations in a timely manner and he had vast knowledge/historical facts about the places we were going to. He was very organized and made sure we hit all the "must-see" spots while adventuring around the locations.

The private tour was worth the price - It really helps when you have an awesome tour guide.

Thanks Cristian for making our Florence experience special.

TLDR: Wouldn't recommend this tour to a friend. The sights are nice but could be done on your own at a MUCH more efficient pace, the food is below average, and the trip itself is way too crowded.

Our first mistake with this tour was not understanding the size of the group. When we read the "limited to 9 per group" we thought that meant 9 per tour group, but it meant 9 per booking. If you would rather do a smaller day trip, just be aware that this is a double-decker bus full of people. This isn't the fault of the tour, we were just a little surprised upon arrival. The large size of the group presented a few annoyances. Other groups were constantly late to the meeting points and the tour guides were very patient with people not respecting the time of others. This resulted in us being able to spend very little time at each of the tour stops. You get about 45-30 minutes to explore each place, but this could also vary by tour if people are actually on time. The bus is airconditioned, but keep in mind you are still in the Tuscan countryside so the bus is still very hot. The lunch at the winery was small and disappointing, but the wine tasting was nice. The "hearty three-course lunch" description is misleading. Maybe I'm too used to American portions, but for that to be the only food you received for a 12 hour tour seemed inadequate. There were also no phone chargers or water on the bus. The only highlight of this tour was being able to explore beautiful Pisa, Siena, and San Gimignano. We think you would be much better off renting a car and doing these stops at your own pace or booking with a much much smaller tour.

Our guides were great. The bus driver amazing. We took the guided tour of Siena highly recommend it, it was worth the money. The city is so cool and rich in history. Would definitely go back to San Gimignano. Its beautiful and the people there are kind and honest. I left my credit card in a small shop and the shopkeeper chased me down to return it. Lunch at the vineyard was simple but the location extraordinary. Pisa is a wonder that if you are in northern Italy you must see. All in all a great experience and highly recommended. I'll go again when I return with my husband.
