This tour is by far the best I have ever been on, our tour guide Sara (not Sarah) was very friendly, full of humour and informative about every aspect of Tuscany, even some of the locations we drove past she was happy to tell us more about its history.
It's perfect for couples and is an excellent way to explore some of the more remote locations of Tuscany. The wine tasting part of the tour was more like having a glass or three of different wines produced from the vineyard outside with your lunch but this was still lovely and the views of the surrounding area were breathtaking!
One thing I will say is don't be put off by how long this tour is, it may be a full day but it flies by! The only thing that we weren't that impressed with was Pisa because it felt more like a tourist trap but we absolutely loved visiting San Gimignano and wish we had more time there during the tour. Our guide Sara recommended trying the Gelato in San Gimignano and I 10/10 recommend trying while there, it was mouth-watering.
I honestly have never experienced a tour company who looks after their customers so well, they had water available for a small fee on the coach and was fitted with air conditioning which was perfect when travelling between stops.
Additionally, a special shout out to the coach driver Antonio. A full day of driving isn't easy and he was excellent and friendly to talk to so don't be afraid to tip :).

Incredible. The amount you see in a day is truly phenomenal. If you’re afraid of walking or don’t fancy doing 15k in a day this isn’t the tour for you, however if you enjoy being busy on holiday then you’ll love this. Clear and concise timings all day with meeting points at every location, information thrown at you all day and any questions you have about periods in history, places or people will be answered. Absolutely worth the money, don’t worry about being scammed or conned out of your euros as the tour leader will make sure you know where to go that is genuine. Hopefully you will get the Alessandro/Nando combo for your tour leader and bus driver, they’re both absolute professionals and incredibly lovely individuals. This tour will make you laugh and the attitude of the tour leader and bus driver will put you completely at ease also. Bottles of water on the bus for a small fee and Aircon, so in between stops you can rehydrate or get your head down for an hour. I cannot recommend this tour enough, a truly wonderful day in the Toscana countryside for couples, family’s or even if you’re solo travelling. Thank you Alessandro and Nando!!!
(Side note, make sure you’ve got 50 cents and €1 coins for any public toilets by tourist attractions as they charge!)

Mano was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very well informed about the area of Tuscany and the history. He was friendly and willing to spend additional time answering questions. Our driver is clearly experienced in navigating a bus on narrow roads and we always felt safe. This was a long day - 13 hours in total and was the best value for our money of all the tours we took on this trip. Thank Mano!

Fabulous day guided by Angela! The visit to Siena and walking tour was really interesting. We also were lucky to visit on a festival day so saw a series of performances by the drummers. The city was also preparing for the Palio so the Piazza del Campo was setup ready for the race! As an extra bonus the intricate floor of Duomo di Siena had been uncovered that day providing us a unique experience to see the historical art works usually covered by a carpet. We then travelled to a vineyard for a brief tour, then off to a delicious lunch with plenty of food and wine available, the restaurant kept bringing more if you were hungry! It was a shame that we had to move on as people still had glasses half full, the operator should consider more time at lunch for less time in San Gimignano, especially when the heat is so oppressive.
In San Gimignano we had free time to explore but honestly it was just too hot! Not the guides fault but it was really difficult to find something to enjoy, the streets were like a furnace. The gelato from Gelateria Dondoli srl is incredible and should not be missed. It is worth the queue!
Finally we headed off to Pisa, it's a bit of a long transfer (1:20) and then a bit of a walk from the coach park in hot back streets, but it was fun to see the cathedral and famous tower. We went and found a side street restaurant offering Aperols (and other cocktails) with a plate of Tapas for €7+15% service. So for ~€16 we had a filling and refreshing snack - much better than the €8 just for the drink the closest restaurants were offering.
The travel back from Pisa was just over an hour, and was a the air con in the bus was a blessing in a 38 degree day!
Absolutely brilliant day, Angela's commentary and charming personality made it a highlight of our break. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I booked this tour to see San Gimignano, Sienna and Pisa as we were staying in Florence and we wanted to experience more of Tuscany. This tour was extremely well organized, and all of the staff from beginning to end were very pleasant and helpful. We were led by our tour guide to our tour bus which was operated by Nando. Manda was a very experienced and competent bus driver and was very timely picking us up after we finished each city tour. In addition to the city tours, we had the opportunity to enjoy the family owned organic winery and farm located at Poggio Alloro. We enjoyed four kinds of wine as well as a delicious homemade 4 course meal. We also toured the winery and farm facilities. The tour lasted 12 hours from beginning to end. We were given lots of free time to enjoy each of the locations we visited. We met number of fellow travellers on the bus home significant name contributed to the fun which we had on this trip. However, best of all, our tour guide Gloria was friendly, humourous and very warm and we could not have asked for a better tour guide or a better tour company, walkabout Florence tours. I would strongly recommend this tour and restore company to anybody who has an interest in seeing what Tuscany has to offer.

Friends
The trip started off rainy, as we waited for other day trippers and the bus we were getting wet and thinking of what a terrible day we had picked to go on a tour. However, Stefano kept the mood alive with his jokes about how lucky (or unlucky) we were to experience a rainy Tuscany day. By the time we arrived in Siena, our first stop, the sun was shining and it matched Stefano’s mood and vibe. He made the trip fun, interesting, and a learning one as well. I recommend this trip for anyone on a time limit in Tuscany who wants to see and experience breathtaking views, local culture, and a farm to table lunch! The tour takes you to three beautifully unique towns, with a local guide who shares history, stories, recommendations and although time is limited at each stop I t is worth it! If there’s a way to pick your guide (which I don’t think there is) pick Stefano and be ready to fall in love with Tuscany. San Giminiagno is mesmerizing.

Sara and Gustavo were incredible guides along our travels. Our first trip to Siena included a bit of an educational tour of the area including the duomo (beautiful gothic french inspired). We had some free time and we got a cup of coffee and some biscuits. Then we traveled to a Chianti farm for lunch, wine, and amazing views. The food was perfect (vegetarian options available) and wine was one of the best I’ve had. Lunch was followed by a short tour of the farm/wine area. San Gimignano was smaller in size compared to Siena but very breath taking. We got some gelato from Gelataria Dondoli. Our last stop was in Pisa which is great of course for the leaning tower but also for people watching for those taking fun pictures. Bus was air conditioned, can buy water on the bus for 1 euro, comfortable seating and a small outlet in the middle of the bus for charging phones. Sara really went out of her way to explain the history of the area, sprinkle in the italian language and share advice on what to do in Florence and the surrounding areas.

A very enjoyable full packed day and our tour leader, Alessandro was brilliant. He made sure that a full bus group of 40 stayed together & kept our attention on the journey with lots of information and humour. A great way to get a taster of Tuscany.
The only down side was that when we got on the bus after the wine tour/lunch, another couple was in our seat & my husband and I had to split up and sit at opposite ends of the bus. This spoiled our experience. I recommend that as COVID is still prevalent, we should all be keeping to the same seats, to minimise the risk. Don't think I would have taken the tour, had I known that there would be seat swapping!

This was a really good day trip and we really enjoyed it.
Positives:
It’s certainly the easiest and most efficient way to see the Tuscan highlights from Florence.
Our guide Angela and driver Giancarlo were a well oiled machine keeping everything running to schedule and it all appeared to run smoothly.
Angela was very upbeat and engaging which was impressive with a large group.
The walking tour guide (Barbara?) in Sienna was also excellent.
There was a good amount of time in each place and Angela went out of her way to make sure everyone was taken care of.
Negatives:
We thought lunch and the wine tasting were average. Not bad but not memorable.
When we arrived in Pisa we had to get our own tickets for the sites. This isn’t really an issue but when we went to get the free ticket for the cathedral the earliest time slot was 7pm and we had to be at the meeting point at 705pm to return to Florence. You can still see in a little from the outside but maybe if there is a way to buy the tickets in advance that would help given the short time frame in Pisa. We paid the 7 euro per person to enter the basilica instead and it was very underwhelming (the outside is certainly the star).
The group was really huge. A full coach load of people, around 50 or so.
Conclusion
Overall a very good day trip but expect a long (and as expected hot) day with a large group.
We left at 745am and arrived back into Florence at 845pm. There was a whole separate coach who left around 8am and were slightly behind us the whole day so my tip would be to arrive to get on the first bus at 745am.
Would recommend but generally prefer a smaller group size.

This was my second time taking the Tuscany in One Day from Florence tour, the first 4 years ago with my husband and this time with our granddaughter. It was as delightful, beautiful and informative day as I hoped and remembered. Angela was a great host, friendly, warm and welcoming, and Emilo was a patient and skilled driver. Every stop was unique; each city's history and characteristics were highlighted. The farm tour, lunch and wine tasting are as described; the pasta and dessert courses were our favorites. We bought the additional Skip The Line to the Pisa Bell Tower, which we would definitely recommend if you are able to climb stairs. I like this tour so much, I would consider taking it again the next time I'm in Tuscany. It's a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes, bring your camera and be ready for a day full of adventures.

How many different wine tastings does this include?

We tasted four wines at lunch. That was the only time wine was offered but there was plenty of time in one or all of the three towns to stop for a glass I’d you wanted. It was an awesome day but we walked 8 miles so it was packed! Good air conditioning on the bus.
Hi, I would like to ask if the guided tour through Siena and the entrance into the cathedral are already included in the ticket price, or does one of these things need to be booked separately?
Thanks in advance!

You cannot beat the price. It does include a guided tour through Siena which is beautiful and the cathedral entrance and skip the line. The winery is an amazing experience with fresh food and wonderful hosts and delicious wines. The last stop in Pisa is so fun. Only those who chose to climb the tower had bought the tickets in advance. It was a full 12 hour day and so worth every penny.

Hi, do you have an estimate time of departure from Pisa? Is it possible to bring a luggage on the bus, go on a tour, and finish off in Pisa (and not ride back to Firenze)? Thank you for any advice you may have. :)

Hi
I think there is a room under the bus for luggage but no one on our trip used it.
If you inform your guide before the tour starts that you want stay in Pisa, I can not see a problem.
It took us about 13 hours from departing Florence to be back again.

Hello, we are planning to get off at PISA after the tour and take the train from Pisa San Rossore station instead of Pisa Centrale. If I read the reviews it says the bus will be parked closer to Pisa Centrale station. If so we've to walk back again, in that case, we can book from Pisa Centrale station. Any idea approximately what time the bus reaches PISA and what time the tour ends at Pisa? If the tour ends very late we can plan accordingly. Thanks in advance. The date of Travel is 15th October and Sun sets early too.

Hello , my 17 year old daughter are interested in this trip . Would she be able to sample the wines if I am with her on this tour ?
thank you !
Hi, we booked a tour on July 28 for our family of 6. We are staying at the Desiree Hotel in Florence. Could you tell me what is the best way to get to the meeting place for the tour? Is there an easy way for a pickup from our hotel?

Hi, the meeting place for our Tour was just outside the Train Station & opposite McDonalds. I think the Hotel Desiree is not far from there, so the best option would be just to walk. At the meeting point your Names will be ticked off and you will have a 10 minute walk to the Bus. Don't be late since they try to leave on time. Enjoy !
Are there restrooms on board the bus?

There was not a restroom on the bus. However, there is free time built into the tour in Sienna and we had coffee at an outdoor cafe and used their restrooms. The vineyard for lunch had plenty of restrooms (amazing food, wine and views). An afternoon stop in a village for gelato had a public restroom (1 Euro). And plenty of free time in Pisa for a coffee or Spritz to use a restroom before the bus ride back.
