Great time with lots of laughs
This was so much fun! It was in a beautiful setting just 15 minutes outside of the city. Gloria, Arla, and Tiziano were amazing! Funny and easy going. They made it all seem so easy. We really enjoyed the whole evening. I cannot recommend this enough. I promise you will love it

The Best Day Cooking with Lavinia & Carmela
Our day was one of the best experiences we had while in Florence. Lavinia (our guide and chef) and Carmela (our chef) had a wonderful chemistry working together. We shopped for our meat and veggies, then traveled to Carmela's house to prepare our feast. We made Bruschetta, homemade pasta with Bolognese sauce, pork tenderloin with sage and rosemary, roasted potatoes and Tiramisu. Carmela sang and danced throughout the day while we prepared our meal. We dined and enjoyed some wine overlooking the Tuscan country side. It was the perfect day!

      Get on this tour!
This trip was a great full day of sight seeing, wine & food tasting for our family and friends. The bus was a kick, the tour guide was a great story teller and full of information about wine, food and customs. The food, olive oil and wine were beautifully presented, this was a wonderful day in the Tuscan countryside!

Highly recommend this excellent cooking class!! Luca and Carmela are awesome!
This cooking class was a true highlight of our trip to Italy! It was organized, fun, and the food we cooked was fabulous! We loved the Tuscany farm, the beautiful indoor and outdoor kitchen, and the chefs (Luca and Carmela) were the best! My husband (who does not cook) thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had so much fun! I highly recommend this cooking class- and we thought the price was very reasonable and totally worth it!

      One unforgettable beautiful day !!!!
We had an awesome day .Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable. We visited beautiful towns :Siena, San Gimignano and Pisa and had time to explore and shop. The wine tasting at a local vineyard was the highlight of the day. The wines were fantastic, and the lunch was delicious. The scenery with vineyards and olive trees was stunning. The tour was well-organized, and we had enough time at each stop. If you want a relaxing day in the Tuscan countryside, this trip is a must!

      This is a Walking Tour!
If you are thinking of doing this trip please bear in mind the information given in the itinerary. There is a LOT of walking and it is a very long, tiring day. That said, it is a fantastic day out. Each stop was packed with interest, beauty and an insight into many facets of Italian history. I see some people have moaned about the walk to and from the bus. It is actually round the side of the train station and literally a seven minute walk. The buses can’t pull up closer to the station. Our guide, Gianluca, was brilliant. He was calm, funny and clearly well educated with a huge knowledge of the areas visited. It is no small feat to keep track of a bus load of tourists, wandering off and going at different speeds, crossing roads and gawping at buildings instead of looking where they’re going. He kept everyone in check and must have walked twice as far, up and down, as the rest of us. The day crammed a lot in but for those short on time it is a great way to get round. Highly recommended, including the meal which was lovely. The whole farm set up is a wonderful concept and the people there were lovely.

      A delicious and fun night
Fantastic cooking class in a beautiful setting. Tiziano, Thomas, and Max taught us valuable cooking skills in a very fun and entertaining way. And to top it off, the pizza and gelato we made were absolutely delicious! Easily one of the best nights of our 12 day trip. Don’t hesitate to book this activity.

If you want a short break from the city of Florence north of the river Arno, what could be better than riding on a vintage Vespa throught the magnificent Tuscan countryside south of the river? For couples booking this activity, I would highly recommend booking a Vespa each, rather than sharing one like we did. Whilst riding the Vespa is relatively straightforward, it does require you to build up a bit of confidence in a short period of time and without hesitation, otherwise it shows! Sitting at the back during our test runs, my wife was not confident in my riding skills and Christian, our brilliant guide, very kindly offered us a beautiful red vintage Fiat 500 instead at no extra cost! We admired the rolling Tuscan hills as we drove through the busy roads and the car was a delight. As a Florentine native, Christian's cultural insights into cuisine, wine and the vehicles themselves was first class. The lovely meal with EXCEPTIONAL Chianti Classico wine was the cherry on the cake! Highly recommended and thank you for this experience Christian!

This was an incredible experience. I am not a motorcycle rider but now I can now understand the thrill of flying on two wheels and an engine. I think I got my Vespa up to 65 kph (40 mph) and it was a rush. The food stop at the Walkabout villa was fresh and delicious as well. Despite what I am about to say, this was easily a highlight of my trip to Italy and I would do it again in a heatbeat.

That being said, you really need to be confident and comfortable on 2 wheels to enjoy this excursion. My fiancee is 5'2" and was too short to comfortably ride the Vespa (though to be fair, she's never been good on bikes of any size). Luckily the Vespas are able to seat 2 so she was able to ride on the back of mine. I would recommend you be at least 5'4" to ride a solo Vespa unless you are very confident riding on 2 wheels. You will also be driving for many kilometers in Italian traffic just outside of Florence. The tour guide does his best to keep everyone together but your job of not getting run over, not falling behind and getting lost, and not falling off your bike is ultimately your responsibility. They will test your skills before you hit the road so if you're unsure, it's not the end of the world if you sign up for a Vespa and can't hang.

If you are a moderate thrill seeker and have put in your time on a bicycle, I highly recommend this tour. Again, it is nothing to be afraid of if you are confident and a good observant driver. But if you panic easily you may want to ride tandem with someone who doesn't or get a vintage Fiat car which you can rent for this tour instead of a Vespa.

Firenze is a great city, and if you're visiting this city then this Vespa tour is something we can really recommend. We went from the city, to the beautiful country side, to a delicious meal. This combined with a great host (Christian) who offered great insights, made it a great experience.

We had such a great time on this tour. Even with no prior Vespa experience, we were able to pass our test drive and get out to explore the countryside around Florence. Christian was a fun, knowledgeable tour guide and we always felt safe navigating the roads. The mealwas delicious and in a picturesque setting! Book this tour, it is well worth it!

First I want to say that the overall experience with our tour was very good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the typical tour bus experience, though you do take busses to get to the scooter/auto garage.
I reserved to Vespa scooters for my daughter and I. I was not aware of the tiny Fiat option in the cars, but would have done the scooter anyway.
Before drivers could leave the garage you have to prove you can handle the scooter. The staff is professional and fun and they try to take the pressure off for the less experienced drivers. We went through all the checks and even a short course where you had to start, steer, turn, brake and return the vehicle to its stand.
While my daughter passed the small driving course, when we left for the tour out of the compound, she oversteered and ran into a wall. From there she had to ride with me.
We regrouped and then followed the guide, with three Vespas and five little Fiat cars all in a row. Most of the roads were fairly open with little traffic. Some intersections could be a little difficult but overall the driving was easy for an experienced driver. The tour part it’s self was quite nice. We stopped and overlooked the Tuscan hills and farms, got some history of the region and the agriculture and then moved on.
We next visited the Basilica de San Miniato, which sits above the Piazzale Michaelangelo and provides even better views and far fewer crowds than the better known photo op place.
From there we drove to the small farm and farmhouse where we had our lunch overlooking the farms vineyard and olive trees. Lunch was good; some anti pasta and then a spiral noodle pasta with sauce. There were also sausage and peppers on the side. Wine and water were available at the table. Drivers can only have one glass of wine. From lunch, we returned to the garage.
Overall: good tour. My only concern/warning would be that this is not a tour for an inexperienced driver. There are some steep hills and sharp curves and these are powerful and surprisingly heavy scooters. I would not recommend the scooter option for a first time or new driver. It is challenging.

I recently took this tour with my family and had Stefan and David as our tour guides. I will say that on the day the weather was a mix of high temperatures/sunshine and thunderstorms/rain/hailstones so I feel our day was not going to be as described because of that. It mentions in the description that the group will be 10 or less, yet 17 of us arrived on the bus which instantly lead to the 2 tour guides creating 2 separate groups which I feel had us at a disadvantage as the tour guides were split and it was difficult for them to keep track of the group.

On the day we were picked up in Florence and brought via bus 15/20 mins outside the city to the garage for a safety briefing, and a quick test drive on a Vespa. This involved driving it up and down the hill at the garage location. If the guide felt you required more practice you were given it and both guides did ensure you felt comfortable. I would suggest anyone going on this tour at least be able to ride a normal bicycle, balance is key with these vespas! And there were some accidents where people fell off the bikes during riding!!

Its worth noting that these are vintage vespas, they need of a bit of love and care. They are old, dented, cracked etc and there were several moments during the tour where they wouldnt start and assistance was needed but again they are vintage vespas from the 80s and are busy little bees with all the tours!

We did not stop at the Church of San Miniato al Monte and we did not take any breaks for photos. Again this may have been due to weather.

We were not given any information from our guide about the area’s history and culture, we had no headsets or walkie talkies as mentioned in the description so couldn't keep in contact in any way. So we literally just drove on the streets not knowing what was around us! We didn't stop at the Piazzale Michelangelo either, but ended up having to pull into a small bar/cafe for 30 mins or so while our tour guide headed back to find others from the group.

The country estate is a beautiful area and we were served a meal of pasta with tomato sauce, meats, cheese and brusschetta on the terrace. Nothing overly impressive but was needed after we were soaked to the bone from the thunderstorm. Our guide didn't spend any time with us really on the day, only drove in front of us in a fiat 500, which is a shame. They were not present during the lunch at all either so we were not given any history of the area or information about the food.

With saying all the above, our group did enjoy the driving of the Vespas, it was a bit of fun and we did spend the day laughing between ourselves as the whole tour was like an episode of Fawlty Towers!!!!

Hi Alex, Sorry this took so long. We just want to say that our Vespa tour with you was one of the highlights of our Florence stay. From being very funny to knowing fully every aspect of the tour, your guidance gave us a fantastic sense of the magnificent city of Florence which we will never forget. That morning it seemed like it might rain so we brought rain gear with us. Starting out on the tour we thought we would don our rain gear at our first stop on the tour. But alas, it started to rain shortly after starting off. With no chance of putting our gear on we just kept on going, getting soaked to the bone much like others on the tour. That said we endured and decided that this was just a part of our larger Italian adventure and smiled our way through the countryside and the rain. Thank you Alex for an adventure we will never forget.
Love the Vespa's and the cars and you.

The guides were great! Very fun, outgoing and nice! The views are nice of the city, and they give you some fun stops and food at the end. There is a lot of time reviewing and test riding the Vespas (we had a huge group), so all-in-all you’re in for about 5 hours.

and, only personally, I wouldn’t recommend this for people without any moped/Vespa experience— only because the roads and drivers. They do totally make sure, if you’re not comfortable, to take care of you (one can always ride in one of the cars).

    10/10 recommend!

This tour starts off with a short bus ride from the city to a Tuscan Hills garage where the vespas are stored. Our guide Christian gave us a little bit of history during the ride and pointed out a few good viewpoints.

Once at the garage, everyone gets a practice ride on a vespa to make sure they're comfortable. Christian's explanation of how to start and stop the vespa was SUPERB. He was an excellent tour guide throughout and really made the experience memorable. 5 stars for Christian!

The tour itself was very scenic. My wife and I had been to Florence before but never explored the Tuscany region so being able to ride around on a vespa allowed us to cover a lot more ground and really explore the area. You're riding on the road with other cars so you have to be careful but it's nothing that I would describe as super dangerous. The most dangerous part would be having to make an unprotected left turn from a neighborhood onto the main road against cross traffic but there aren't many of those.

The tour has a break where you're served lunch and a glass of wine from a local farm/residence. The food is as fresh as it gets and very tasty. There's a small garden nearby where you can walk the property and see all the different vegetables being grown.

This half day tour was perfect for our itinerary because we got back to the city with plenty of time to rest and recharge for a second round of exploration in Florence.

Fun way to spend a morning in the beautiful Tuscan hills! Christian was great at orienting everyone to their vehicles and leading us on a rural tour of the countryside. There were plenty of stops along the way for education and taking in the sights. The tour ended with a fantastic meal as well.

Christian was very friendly and charismatic, which made the tour even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a little adventure to see parts of wine country.
