Browse stalls replete with cheese, cured meats, olives, and balsamic vinegar before you select the ingredients required for this cooking class. Board a minibus and travel through the Tuscan hills to a rustic farmhouse, the quaint setting of your cooking class. Prepare seasonal Tuscan dishes that could include roast pork and bruschetta, stopping to enjoy a glasses of Chianti wine as you go. Create a dessert, like a tiramisu, from scratch before sitting down to enjoy the 4-course meal you've cooked. Return to central Florence by minivan and receive all recipes by email.

So much fun!

Seamless experience -- as a solo traveler, I felt like I was in good hands with an experienced team running this tour. Lavinia and Carmela were fantastic. It was both educational and fun at the same time. A perfect mix of activity and relaxation. I'm not sure which was better, the food or the setting. Absolutely perfect!

Fantastic Florence Adventure
Sep 2021 • Solo
Loved this experience. What a fun day … to enjoy food, good wine and new friends. The experience starts with a trip to the food market — which was the highlight for me. We then journeyed to an outdoor kitchen where we made a lovely and delicious four course meal. Loved Martina. She’s an amazing guide and host. This is a must do if in Florence — and hungry!

Do this!!!! Book it and you won’t regret it!!
This was the best cooking class I’ve ever been to with respect to the environment, organization, instructors and entertainment. What a wonderful experience. I’ve taught cooking classes for many years, so to have somebody else teaching is always a treat but this was a level above all! The whole experience was professional and yet such fun. Thank you very much!!!

Excellent day with excellent food

We came to Italy for our honeymoon and was recommended this class by a family member and it was well worth it! We loved our guide, Lavinia, and Camela, the cook, was a character. We had a great time and will definitely be recommending this to anyone who’s traveling to Florence. We also decided to book a day trip tour with Walkabout because we were so impressed by the staff and the overall experience.

Wonderful and fun Cooking Class
Aug 2021
An amazing cooking class with Olivia and Carmela!

Olivia was a wonderful tour guide for our shopping excursion to collect the ingredients for our cooking class. She gave us such a lovely overview of the history of the Mercato Centrale and the surrounding area.

Carmela, the wonderful singing chef, is so full of life and truly loves what she does. He recipes are super easy to follow that once we got home stateside we immediately made the dinner for my father.

This is a MUST DO class so that you can see the beautiful country side which is only 20 minutes outside of the bustling city of Florence. We are already planning another trip and would love to take another class with Olivia and Carmela.

What an incredible experience. The whole day was amazing, from the marketplace to the view from the Tuscan home to the cooking class and the meal, everything was amazing. Our host and chef were top notch, and made the whole event. We would do it again and highly recommend!

Chanti-Tiramisu-Ragu-Perfect Day🤌🏽
A friend and I were staying in Florence for 3 nights and were hesitant to do a cooking class because we thought it would be too touristy, but it ended up being one of the best things we’ve done in Italy. Our guides Olivia and Caramella were incredible. The experience lasted about 7 hours but it flew by because we had so much fun. We started with a market tour to the central market where Olivia took us through the shops to buy fresh ingredients. Then our group took avo for table (& well AC’d) bus to a beautiful villa just outside Florence where we made homemade bruschetta, pasta, ragu, tiramisu while drinking glasses upon glasses of wine. I lost count of how many Chianti’s we had. The experience was involved enough that I feel like I can actually make the recipes at home, but we’ll done for a group of strangers where each person had a chance to be as involved as they liked. I can’t say enough good things.

Volare!
Jul 2021 • Family
This cooking class got great reviews which is why I choice it - I am so glad to say that the entire experience actually exceeded my expectations in every way. Our guide Lavinia was warm and friendly and informative. She not only brought us to the market where we enjoyed shopping for all of the ingredients and learning about the various meats, cheeses, pastas and vegetables, but she also gave us a bit of a tour of the city streets and buildings to and from the market. The kitchen at the Tuscan farmhouse was a treat in and of itself. To top it all off Carmela, host/cooking instructor, not only taught us how to make each of the dishes but she as was full of personality and fun - entertaining us along the way by singing (Volare in particular) and dancing. The meal was absolutely delicious and the group dynamic was an added bonus. I highly recommend this class - it was definitely the highlight of my trip to Italy!

Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a brilliant day out! Lavinia is a brilliant guide - she was passionate about Florence and the food culture of Italy! After a short walk through the streets of Florence, we went to the markets. This was a great experience and we really enjoyed hearing Lavinia’s explanations of everything she was buying.

After some time, we went up and out of the city (just 10 mins by bus) to a gorgeous Tuscan estate where we were greeted by the funny and fabulous chef, Carmela!

Throughout our time on the estate, we helped make bruschetta, ragu, a pork main and tiramisu! As the group was quite large, we all helped make these parts of the meal!

We had a brilliant demonstration by Carmela of how to make a range of different types of pasta and then we all made our own tagliatelle from scratch!

Throughout the day, Lavinia was wonderful - she was funny, informative and a great translator! We were kept topped up with a gorgeous Chianti wine too!

Overall, we would 100% recommend this pasta making class - it was so much more than learning how to make pasta! We really had a super day!
