    Highly recommended bike tour
Fantastic tour, Alice was very informative and considering how wet the day was having a poncho given out to keep you dry was a great touch.

    Awesome Fun!
We had a great time on this tour! Our guide Veronica was amazing! So friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. A good guide is usually the difference between a fun time or not. If all Fat Tire tour guides are as good as Verinica I can highly recommend this company.

    Overview of the city.
The bike tour gave us good overview of the city. A lot of good info shared. Our group had a lot of problems with the bikes. Saddles and handlebars not secure, which meant a lot of stopping for repairs. Not everyone but several of us had issues with hearing the guide on the headsets.

Great time and lots of food & wine!
Wow! We had a great time on this food tour and enjoyed A LOT of amazing local food and wine! Our family consisted of my 74 year old mother, myself and my 18 year old niece. All ages had a blast! Our guide, Cristina, was very friendly and knowledgeable about Florence and all the places she took us. We had a fun small group which made it easy and enjoyable to get around. We made several stops, first to an outstanding wine shop/cellar. Other stops included truffles, cheese, pasta, bakery, more wine/prosecco, desserts and gelato! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend, great introduction to Florence!
We had a great experience on this tour. Andrea was very friendly, knowledgeable about the history of the city and was very helpful and encouraging about riding the scooters. I was a little nervous about riding the scooter as I'd never used one before but I was made to feel at ease quickly. The tour takes you all around the city and is a great introduction for your first day. Also has plenty of great photo opportunities. Highly recommend booking this tour around Florence, it definitely beats a walking tour!

Start your exploration with Fat Tire!
Fat Tire tours are the best way to get an overview of a city’s history, culture and sights. We’ve done 3 Fat Tire tours in multiple European countries and have found it to be a great way to appreciate the many historic places you will visit. It gives you the opportunity to decide what you want to go back and explore more and what you can ‘check off the list’ so to speak. Always amazing guides who are a wealth of knowledge and always have great local tips for food/restaurants!

    Fun Tour!
Fun tour! History and adventure at the same time. Plenty of stops with historical interest and great views. We got to see more of the city than we would have just walking. Be prepared for busy streets and lots of people!

A Fun Way to See Florence!
This is a worthwhile and fun tour. The folks at Fat Tire Tours care about your safety and give good tours. For their electric scooters they carefully check you out and provide helmets. The tours themselves are informative, and you get around quickly. There is always the chance of an accident, so be sure you're comfy on one of these scooters. The streets are a bit bumpy, which can be a challenge, but the bike paths are fairly smooth. This is a neat way to see Florence for 2 hours.

    Incredible variety!
This really was a small group - 8 people, which was great. We enjoyed our guide, Dimitri. We made 8 stops and enjoyed an incredible variety of food and wine. Everything from breakfast to dessert, and everything in between. Included the San Lorenzo market, which is a must-see. The tour operator also went the extra mile to accommodate food allergies/restrictions (although gluten free was difficult).

Great insight into, and sight, of Florence
My wife and I enjoyed a 2hr tour with just us and our guide, Brian. We always find a Segway or e-scooter tour is a great way to scope out a city, covering lots of distance but learning history, locating key sights, and taking recommendations from our guide. This tour was no different. The highlight sight of the tour from outside the city looking back over the panorama with the cathedral dominating. Brian, our guide, was exceptional: knowledgeable and interesting, both in what he told us and in answering our questions, had a great sense of humour. The scooters were easy to use and fun. Highly recommended.

Great tour with a great guide. Highly recommend if you enjoy food walking tours. In 4 hours we learned a lot about Italian/Florence cuisine while enjoying great food and drink along the way.

    Fabulous tour and guide
Brilliant bike tour in the safe hands of Paolo, who is Florence born and bred. Sarah emailed me in advance yo give me the choice of moving my date and / or time as a marathon was on in the city. But as Sarah confirmed it wouldn't really affect the bike tour much, I chose to go ahead as planned. Great to be given the option though! We covered so much more ground than you'd ever do walking, including going up to the vantage point for amazing views of the city. The tour gave me a good feel for where I wanted to go back to, and I asked Paulo for a tip on where to go for a coffee with a fabulous view (Caffè del Verone) - he was spot on! I can't recommend this tour enough, and I always do Fat Tire tours in the cities where they run them. They're always great.

    OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Federica with Fat Tire Tours is amazing! She very graciously helped me make a change in my itinerary/tour, and did everything possible to work out the details, (even though she could easily have said I was past the deadline for changes and there was nothing to be done…) But she happily and efficiently came up with a fantastic solution to my problem, for which I am so very grateful!! The world could use more of this kind of OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

This was a brilliant experience! So informative and Francesca was an absolute delight! Very passionate and made us all feel very well looked after. Her knowledge of architecture was so inspiring and really made the tour exceptional. It’s so worth the money - seeing the frescos up close is incredible and the view from the top is breathtaking. Full disclosure - it’s a lot of steps! But Francesca broke the journey up very well and we never once felt it was too much or that we couldn’t stop for a breather if we needed to.

This tour was amazing! Not only is the Duomo a fantastic experience, the climb to the top of the Dome provided a fabulous view of the entire city. The climb is quite a hike but the pace is slow so is manageable. We also stopped at about half way so that gave us a breather. Being at the top is worth the climb! The tour guide was fun, interesting and knowledgeable.

I was lucky enough to experience this VIP Florence Duomo climb with my millennial daughter, the experience was truly breathtaking, but ( and I’ll simply add this for those who might suffer from fear of heights or tight spaces) it’s not for the faint of heart. There are roughly 480 steps in all , some in a spiral so the trip to the top is an adventure in fitness for sure. However , there are a few strategically placed resting spots that break it up nicely , allowing you to catch your breath. Please don’t let this sway you out of making this trip to the top. The opportunity to be so very close to the frescoes on the ceiling of the Duomo was incredible , seeing the church down below was a crazy view I will likely not duplicate again in my lifetime , and of course the view from the very top , the highest point in all of Florence, is simply worth the effort. It gets a lil hairy in the last 75 or so steps to the very top , but trust me , it will be something you talk about for years to come. I heard that they only allow a small number of tourists to make this trip on a daily basis so be smart and book early. There was a very coordinated schedule among the guides , allowing these very small groups to come up and down the narrow stairways. This is bucket-list worthy , DO NOT MISS IT !

My husband and I had a great time on this tour! The history and story telling was great. I highly recommend getting a ticket to “Skip the line” as it will wrap around the Duomo on typical days. We went straight in. The climb up was manageable and fun with amazing views. Starting at the museum was a great way to become familiar with the history before starting in the Cathedral and Dome climb. Great value and experience.

We enjoyed the actual climb. It was helpful that the organizers only had people going up or down so we were not passing people on the narrow stairs. It was a hot day (100+ Temperature) and we luckily brought fans with us which helped immensely. Being able to see the paintings by Vasari and later finished by Zuccari was amazing. When we reached the top (which took about 18 minutes) the panoramic views of Florence were breathtaking. Everywhere you look you can pick out something that you recognize (the Arno River, Piazza Michelangelo, Pitti Palace, etc.) A must do if you are able to climb.

Our guide, Katerina, was so knowledgeable and showed so much passion for explaining the history and the artists. I learned so much from her during our tour. The little museum is worth it too. The stairs are NOT for people who cannot climb at least 10-15 flight of stairs. Try to go in the morning b/c the air in the stairwells can get hot and stuffy when there are so many people.

Nora is an excellent guide that is enthusiastic and manages the time well. She shared many stories about Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, Rafael etc. This tour with Nora has been our favorite tour in Italy- full credit to Nora and the weather that held for beautiful views of Firenze from the Dome.

Highly recommend this trip! Extremely worth it to go up to the top of the Dome. The view of the Florence skyline was impeccable. We went in August, but the weather was mid-60s somehow and it made a huge difference. Our tour guide Brian was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job of pointing out the key points to visit in the city - including the Central Market (where we went for lunch)

Truly a memorable experience. A knowledgeable guide - Francesca ( sorry if I got this wrong) took us on a renaissance history lesson through the excellent museum, the baptistery and up the dome stairs. We had a delightful and informative commentary in lovely accented English. Not to be missed. Worth every cent.
