This was one of our favorite tours. The driver took us anywhere we wanted to go. He told us all about the places we visited and even took pictures of our group for us. Messina and Taromina are absolutely amazing!!! This tour was so worth it!!! Thank you for an amazing experience!!!

Well done! Do this instead of booking a tour through the cruise ship. Cruise tours do not go to Castelmola! Lunch at Castelmola, overlooking Mt Edna was amazing! Driver was simply wonderful! The van goes where buses can’t go. Stops at vistas for pictured are done with the van, where tour buses can’t go! Great trip!

We had a great private group tour of Taormina, Castelmora, & Messina made special by the outstanding driver/guide services provided by Fabio. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He is a native of the area and knows so much about the history of the cities, towns and villages. He is a teacher and his ability to communicate so well made us appreciative students. We would definitely book a tour with Fabio if we have the chance. While Taormina is one of the most beautiful towns in Sicily and Messina is one of the major cities of the island, a visit to the small traditional village of Castelmora which sits on the mountainside above Taormina was the highlight of our tour. We were lucky enough to visit on a Sunday morning which happened to be the date of First Communion for the community's children. What a wonderful experience to see them in their gowns with the proud families surrounding them.

Sergio was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area. He is an excellent educator who taught us much about the history. The scenic drive was amazing with many sites to see in Taormina.

My family and I took a Mediterranean cruise stopping at several different countries. Sicily was most important to me as this is where my family is from. Of all the excursions/tours we did on this cruise, Sicily was hands down the best! Our guide, Sergio, gave us the experience of a lifetime, Knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful, I can honestly say he made this tour so special for us. I promised Sergio a picture of the sentimental souvenir I purchased (with his help to negotiate a good price), so I am posting it here hanging proudly in my kitchen. Please make sure he sees this; I don't know how else to get these to him :)

My husband, mother, and I booked this tour while our cruise ship was docked in Messina because all other excursions through the ship were sold out. We’re so glad that we did! Sergio was our guide. He picked us up directly from the port along with another couple and drove us first to Mt. Etna, then Castelmola, then Taormina, before dropping us back off at our ship. He was a phenomenal guide. As a local, he was extremely knowledgeable about the history and current events of the region and brought us to cafes, restaurants, and shops off the beaten path where he haggled great discounts for us. He was extremely friendly and inviting, and you could tell he truly loves what he does. After hearing about our intent to grab cannolis in Taormina, he instead brought us to his favorite local bakery in Messina and treated us to some incredible, fresh cannolis. By the end of the tour, he felt like a family friend. Hands down the best shore excursion experience I had for the entire trip.

We waited 90 minutes at the Messina Port (cruise ship port) and the transport never showed. When we called the number of Messina Cruise Lines the number is no longer in business. When requesting a refund from Trip Advisor they refunded $0. THIS IS A TRAP!!!! Don’t waste your time booking this trip!!!!

We recently used this company duringr our mediterranean cruise. We were a group of 11 and we visted Mount Etna and Taoriminia past dec. 19th. The volcano it's amazing, full of snow and smoking. Our diver Sergio was simply amazing, funny and profesional. I recommed this company if you travel to Sicily.

Nina was an excellent guide..her knowledge and love of her native city was infectious.. when we return we will surely request her again

Mario picked us up in his air conditioned van. He drove with confidence through many winding roads. He showed us all of the beautiful sights as we drove. Lunch was at Gallo Cedrone, a lovely family restaurant with amazing views. We ate and drank and had a lovely time. After lunch we walked around the corner to amazing views of the sea and Mt Etna. Here my daughter’s boyfriend got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! It was the perfect setting! Following all the excitement, we wandered through Castelmola and then Mario drove us to Taormina. He gave us very cold bottles of water and said he would be back in 2 hours. It was the perfect amount of time to explore. He stopped at some beautiful sights on the way back to our cruise ship and showed us the Astronomical clock in messina just in time to watch it move. Mario shared his WiFi and was a great guide!

Mario and Messina Tours were brilliant. Knowledgable, entertaining and flexible. Before departing we added Mt Etna to this tour. We had a party of 8, adults and kids, who all had a marvellous time. Delicious local food and drink tasting, amazing scenery, snow fights on Mt Etna, shopping, so much fascinating information along the way, and the most amazing lunch in the mountaintop village of Castelmola. Mario knew where to go, what to do and was a wonderful companion. We absolutely love Sicily, all thanks to Mario and this tour.

My family of four with two young boys booked a shore excursion with this company when we cruised to Messina. Our ship was late for an hour and our driver Daniele patiently waited for us at the dock. He was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a good time. He brought us to a wonderful restaurant with jaw-dropping views and awesome local cuisine. He recommended itineraries and routes to best avoid traffic. He arranged the time perfectly and we covered Taormina Catelmola and Messina. The vehicle was a Benz mini van - comfy and clean. He was an amazing driver - navigating the narrow and winding roads in this wonderfull coast is not something everyone could handle. He was so nice and warm - almost like a grandpa to the kids. We were so happy to have a tour with him. Highly recommended!
