Glide past Taormina’s top sites on this 3-hour Segway tour. Led by an expert guide, explore the Borgo Medievale, Taormina’s oldest district. See the bustling Piazza del Duomo, city hall and the San Domenico Palace Hotel, once an ancient monastery. Check out views of Mt Etna from Villa Comunale before heading to the ancient Greek amphitheater of Teatro Greco. Learn about the gladiatorial games held in the impressive spot before concluding your tour at your original departure point.
What to Expect
Begin your sightseeing tour in central Taormina, where you’ll join up with your guide and get comfortable on your Segway with an orientation session.

Once you're ready, take off through the city streets to Taormina’s oldest quarter, Borgo Medievale. Check out the Baroque fountain in Piazza del Duomo, the town hall and coast past the San Domenico Hotel, once used as an ancient monastery.

Gaze out at the Ionian Sea as you cruise through Piazza IX Aprile, and travel down Corso Umberto, Taormina’s main drag. Then head inside the nearby Villa Comunale to wander the city park, resplendent with flowers, cypress trees and views of Mt Etna.

Afterward, make your way to the Teatro Greco, dating back to the third century BC. Hear about the gladiatorial games once hosted in the ancient Greek amphitheater as you wander the city's star attraction.

Continue to Porta Catania, where you’ll pause outside the Capuchin church before concluding at your original departure point.

I very much enjoyed the Segway tour. The tour guide hired by the Segway owner was very informative. Both the Segway machine owner and the guide went on our tour. We went though the village and a park with a scenic view of Mount Etna,...More

No Segway

I do not recommend trusting your holiday entertainment to CSTRents. We booked and paid for Segway tours in 3 locations (Naples, Palermo and Taormina) and all were cancelled. The bookings were for late April/early May and there was nothing on Viator that indicated there should...More

Great way to see Taormina!

We took the Taormina Segway tour. As we wanted the tour at a certain hour, it cost us more (105 euro/person instead of 99 euro/pp) and was defined as a VIP tour. Indeed, we were accompanied by three people: a licensed guide (Antonella), the Segway...More
