I had the most wonderful and authentic experience cooking with Patrizia in her country house. The house is so charming and has the most amazing view of surrounding mountains and the sea. I learnt how to prepare Caponata, which is must in Sicilian cooking; simple yet so delicious. We then proceeded to prepare a pasta sauce and some fish, as well as canoli for dessert. I will cherish this experience forever and looking forward to recreate the recipes.

Had a fantastic time with Patrizia learning about traditional Sicilian cuisine. We started the morning off gathering ingredients at a local market and got right into preparing a delicious four course meal in the home of our host. Can’t miss an experience like this one, great food and even better people.

We could not have chosen a better way to start our Sicilian adventure. We met Patrizia at the market and we set off together through stall after stall loaded with wonderful fresh produce with Patrizia explaining her preferences and her choices. It was wonderful to have such a knowledgeable guide. Then back to her beautiful apartment opposite the Cathedral where Patrizia welcomed us warmly and mapped out a 4 course meal from all the amazing ingredients we bought and coached us through its preparation - while enjoying some excellent Sicilian wine and cheese of course. Patrizia is engaging, generous and understandably proud of her Sicilian heritage and cuisine and gives a wonderful education in both, culminating in a simple but delicious meal in a most welcoming, artistically beautiful home. We highly recommend this wonderful experience.

My daughter and I booked the cooking class in Palermo with Patrizia last week and had such a wonderful time! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and delicious break from site seeing. We met Patrizia and walked to the AMAZING market to pick our fresh seafood and dinner ingredients. The market was phenomenal, so much fresh seafood. We picked from what was in season and then casually walked back to Patrizia's charming place. We drank wine, ate cheese and made swordfish rolls, fresh pesto pasta, delicious artichokes and a sweet dessert with a Limoncello chaser (whatch out for that one!). Patrizia was such a great hostess, we had such a lovely time and agreed this was the best meal we had in Rome/Palermo. It was so fresh and so delicious! The experience was one we will not soon forget, I cannot recommend it more highly. Thank you Patrizia!

My college went to Sicily for a couple weeks and part of our itinerary was to take a cooking class and Patrizia was so warm and welcoming. She opened her home to us in such a friendly way and taught us how to make traditional Italian cuisine. We absolutely loved our experience!

This is what travel is all about. Spending time with interesting people, learning about their cultures, and cooking and enjoying absolutely delicious traditional foods. This cooking class was more than cooking. This was an experience on how to live like a true Sicilian. We enjoyed plentiful cheeses and wines. Learned about and prepared foods like meat and fish rolls and caponata. Most of all we enjoyed the company of a true Sicilian queen and aficionado, Patti! This evening was the perfect Palermo night and Patti’s home was friendly, inviting, and decorated beautifully. We were lucky enough to share the evening with some friendly folks and Patti’s lovely cats Nino & Bella. I would recommend this class to anyone visiting Palermo.

Beware of Cats in this tour! We paid almost $1,000 for this for 4 of us and showed up to the 17th Century Building... AKA someone's home. There were two cats that we saw, cat hair all over the plates, cheese, and furniture! The host didn't care that two of us were extremely allergic to cats and said we should have advised them when we booked and they asked if we had any FOOD allergies! Didn't know cat was on the list of allergies we'd have to advise on. She asked us multiple times to change our tour time. We booked through Viator and they only refunded us 50%. If you love cats, this is the tour for you!

One of our favorite experiences of Palermo! It was easy to find, in a convenient location, and the space was so welcoming. The wine and cheese was delicious and the host was wonderful! She was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. 10/10, I would recommend it time and time again...I would even consider going myself for a second time.

We had the best day with Patrizia! This turned out to be one of our best experiences in Palermo! My husband is 3/4 Sicilian and we chose this class specifically for Sicilian recipes. We loved the experience, the food and the wine! Patrizia made us feel right at home in her apartment and was the perfect host! Can't wait to go back! PS...buy the cookbook! We did, and we're slowly making our way through all the recipes.

Patrizia was a great host for this cooking class! I recommend booking the morning time slots because the market is open and the food is fresh. Going to the market and purchasing the ingredients for the meal is part of the experience you don't want to miss! The class was very informative, also very relaxed and enjoyable. The food was outstanding!

This was an amazing experience! Up to this point, we had a definite preference for Tuscan food and really thought we were not going to enjoy this (we signed up before coming to Sicily and eating some Sicilian food). Not only did Patrizia teach us about the food and help us make an amazing meal, she helped us understand the mix of flavors that - when cooked right - makes the food so wonderful. She is a great teacher and wonderful cook. Make sure you buy her cookbook too. I quit collecting cookbooks as I did in my younger years because you can find so much on the internet but her recipes are truly special. She doesn't push you to buy anything at all but because we love to cook, we wanted to. It is truly the highlight of this trip to Italy,
