The day was well paced, with 1.5 hrs seeing the mosaics, 1 hr for lunch at a cute deli & wine shop, and 1.5 hrs in the Valley of the Temples. Gioele was an AMAZING guide and driver, he gave us a detailed history of Sicily and both attractions, gave us maps and told us what to look out for. He also answered all of our other questions about Sicily. We learned so much and really enjoyed our day with him.

We had a very good day! Most wonderful mosaics you shall ever come across anywhere in your life! Valley of the temples awe-inspiring! I can not fault the company. Pick up at our hotel was right on time as arranged. Travelled alongside 5 other tourists in comfortable minibus. Antonio is a passionate tour guide and very knowledgeable, a truly great personality! Lunch was amazing! No need to buy extra food as more than enough.

We used Sicily Day by Day for airport transportation and the Agrigento / Piazza Armerina tour. Excellent communication by email to get price quotes and make reservations. Clean, comfortable vehicles and good drivers. We would use them again if we return to the area.

Well worth the trip to see these amazing places. Tour guide (Iorga) was absolutely filled with details and information about everything we saw. Perfectly organised and made the most of every minute. Recommend to everyone.

I took a day trip from Catania, our driver was Dario, I scheduled the trip on the eve of previous day via cell, was picked up at 8:40 close to where I stayed, and dropped off around 18:30.
The trip was well organized, Dario not only provided us with historical background but also answered questions re present day Sicilly and gave personal tips for Catania. We had a short break for lunch on the beach, with Catanian street food and wine (I think the picnic would be perfect if food included some veggies).

Kudos to Dario for driving difficult roads and navigating insane Catania's traffic!
Well organized tour, highly recommended.

This was our second tour with the same agency. Giole was the guide assigned to a small group of 7. Again, similar to our first tour, he was not a licensed guide for the attractions and hence he did a briefing and provided walking maps with major attractions at each destination. The highlight of the tour would be the Valley of the Temples. It was cold and drizzling but we were awed by the ruins of the temples unearthed along the walking path. Another long distance drive but with a little more time for free roam as there were only two locations to cover. Food in a boutique cafe cum souvenir/wine shop was great and we ended up buying many local chocolates, jams and wines. Again it’s one of those genuine small group tours that we really like.

This was the last tour of our Catania trip and it was indeed a great way to end the trip. After making the reservation, we received emails from Andrea confirming the date/place of pick up and asking us if we had any food allergies/dietary restrictions. Upon arrival at Catania, I sent out an email just to confirm the arrangements and immediately got a reply back. Our driver was Dario and he picked us up from the meeting point in front of our B&B. There were only 3 of us in the group and we had a wonderful experience listening to Dario's informative and entertaining stories as we drove up to the sites.

Both sites - the Vila Romana del Casale and the Valley of the Temples did not disappoint. We found the "ruins" to be so well restored and preserved. The Valley of the Temples was particularly amazing. It was well worth the drive and the price.

Our lunch was also quite charming - it was picnic style at a local wine shop where the owners hosted us. We were treated to a sampling of cheese and meat, wine and sweets in addition to the main lunch of pizza, cibollita (?), calazone and arancino. We learned a lot about the local folklore over lunch.

This tour is definitely recommended!

We really enjoyed our visit to these two very unique spots. The Villa has ancient well-preserved mosaics including one of a set of women exercising. Beautiful. The Temples are fabulous. plan to spend quite a while there.

We chose a small group tour and had a blast with our driver for the day, Carlos. He gave us great insight into the region as we traveled to the sites. The roman house was nice but was under some construction/repair which prevented some exploration outside. The inside was amazing. Lunch was a selection of tapas and some great wine. The valley of the temples was amazing and easy to navigate. Definitely worth the time spent.
