Fascinating with a knowledgeable and charming guide
We met our charming and very knowledgeable guide Elisabeth in the centre of the old town and she took us to some of the most fascinating and beautiful palaces and beautiful, historic byzantine churches in Palermo. Sadly, some places were closed thanks to Covid which was unavoidable. Her knowledge of the history of Sicily in general and of the places visited was impressive and delivered with some humour and obvious passion for her city. Even the walks from one place to another were fascinating when the streets and buildings were woven into Palermo's long, comvoluted but ever fascinating history. Well worth taking this tour.

    Discover Palermo
I took the BAROQUE tour yesterday and discovered a Palermo few tourists know about. JUSYSICILY, and my guide CINZIA NUCCIO, took me on an almost magical 4 hour tour of the city. I saw beautiful churches, palaces, local pubs and learned the history of the city. Cinzia Nuccio made it a fun and informative time and this tour - as well as the company- I highly recommends!

    Walking tour Palermo
I did a walking tour in Palermo which lasted several hours with a very knowledgeable guide (Valentina) who was not only able to answer all my questions but also shared her vast knowledge of Palermo, Sicily, architecture and art with me. It was a most entertaining walking tour and I can definitly reccomend to book such a tour.

    Enjoyable Day
I organised a trip with Siliciandays.com. I planned 2 trips for one day . Our guide was Patrizia a very delightful guide. Our trip started with a walking tour of Palermo. As it was only 4 of us we were met at the hotel at 9.30 Our trip in the morning lasted 3 hours we started in the begining of Via liberty and walked all the way down to near the shores.Patrizia expalined to us the history of Palermo we walked by the Teatro Massino, Teatro Politeama, Opera Dei Pupi where puppet showroom and shows were held.We also went in to the Cathedral Palermo, Church of Sain Cataldo. Viewed La Kalsa Arabic church and visited a few markets and also the Fountain Pretoria. Ended the tour near the Palace which was Mayors office sadly unable to go in as the was a strike pending. We covered the four cornerstoo. It is really amazing to note in those days Christians and Arabians lived side by side happily. The market was fascinating she explained to us the different herbs available and pasta. We finished the afternoon at her beautiful converted apartment in town where we were given a truly Sicilian meal with wine. It was a tasty 5 course meal we were so full by the end of it. Soon after our meal she drove us to Monreale in the afternoon to see the Cathedral Which was Norman with a combination of Arabic carvings too. It was a beautiful Moziac Church lovely shining organs still in use. We went on from there to see the Cloister, sadly the place had been ransacked and had lost alot of its beautiful Arabic art work on its pillars. From there we went on to Mondello to the sea front, a lovely day for it specially with their tasty Gelatino Ice Cream. Patrizia was patient and understanding and did not rush us at all, we took our time and had a lovely day.Her English was excellent.Finished the day at 7.30pm at our hotel.Thank you Patriza and say Hi to Alfredo for us ,tell him his english is not bad.

The Best thing to do to know the City
I loved, loved, loved this tour. I highly recommend to take the walking tour on the 1st day you arrive in Palermo. The tour gives you an idea of the city, and how to tour it on your own on future days. You will be able to easily find museums and points of interest later on. Also, the highlight of this tour, for us was having a professional guide telling us the history of museums and believes of the local people in town. We also LOVED going around the farmer market and having a bite of the traditional food. It was definitely the most enriched experience we had in Palermo.

    Very Interesting and Enjoyable
I had a wonderful day with a very interesting and informative guide. I was travelling off season at the end of October and was the only person on the tour. I really appreciated that the tour wasn't cancelled. My guide explained that immediate profits are secondary to their goal of trying to grow the tourist industry in Sicily. My guide did not only know the basic dates and facts. She demonstrated an incredible knowledge of Sicily's history and discussed everything from art to politics, economics, religion etc. I really felt like I was given an in depth and well rounded look into Sicily's history as well as an understanding of modern day life. I would absolutely recommend this tour.
