    Worth visiting!
Good experience, fascinating places to visit, but seemed rushed. Not enough to time to explore and no time for lunch. I would recommend highly , but be prepared with snacks and water.

    Not reliable.
Terrible. The driver indicated that the bus would remain at the stop for 10 minutes. I confirmed this with the driver and indicated that I would be back. Arrived in 8 minutes and he had left. Stranded in a small town outside of Catania. Buses are 1 hour apart.

This is not a hoho tour but a nightmare
Do not take this tour with Tourist Service. We took a bus panorama open top tour. It is not a regular hoho bus. It takes not the route you pay for. And on top of this it stops at a random stop in the back of town and the driver says: I take a 40 min break now and leaves us sitting in a hot bus. Doesn’t speak English so we were stuck. It is like a nightmare. Take the yellow bus, not the red one!

Only if you have nothing better to do
Have done quite a few of these type all over Italy with various similar companies. This was by far the worst. The buses were old and dirty and a lot of the audio points didn’t work. Also the actual audio on the bus loudspeaker - in Italian, was quite loud and made it difficult to hear the commentary in your chosen language. It made three stops of ten mins each at the Sheraton, Acitrezza and Acicastello. It was fine to pass a few hours but honestly not the best one we’ve done.

    Hop on, no hop off
This is basically a hop on and no hop off except at two locations along the way. It stops to let you off at Aci Costello and Ascitrezza. They only drive by all the others without stopping unless there is traffic or lights. I planned to get off at one stop and i had to request the driver to let us off. Even without letting us off, I expected the bus to stop ling enough to see and take couple of shots, this did not happen. Hindsight, i am better off taking the local bus. It is more frequent and cheaper.

    Misleading advertising to get business
The trip was advertised as a Montalbano tour. We visited one site which the driver had difficulty finding. Every time we stopped subsequently it was not connected to Montalbano. The driver could not speak English. He chose where we went for lunch and suggested a tourist train ride round the town. The company had agreed to drop two Australian couples off at their hotel which the driver couldn't find so we arrived back in Catania at about 7.30 instead of 6pm. When I complained in the office I was told that Montalbano was just the name of the tour -which was exactly why we chose it. There were several other Montalbano trips advertised so we believe the company is deliberately misleading tourists to get the bookings. The girl in the office told my wife no refund was available because we had seen the house and the rest of the trip was to see the General area and not to visit specific locations. If we had known this we would not have booked it. As a side issue because the driver acted as the personal taxi for the Australian couples and made us very late our taxi driver had to wait for 90 minutes to drive us back to our hotel

    Very Helpful Service
I want to thank the staff for the excellent service and assistance I recently received during the short time that I was in the area. They stored my luggage for the day, and gave me a lot of helpful travel information and suggestions on activities to do during my stay. I ended up taking their Hop On Hop Off tour, which was very interesting and the driver was also very helpful. Thank you so much!

A good way to see Etna!
I am quite surprised there are so many negative reviews. The night before the trip I looked at the leaflet and only then did I realise it was an open top bus. Today was 42 degrees so this massively worried me as travelling with a 2 year old and 6 year old. Anyway, turned out to be fine as they put a roof on for shade! Yay! The bus journey was smooth. Driver was lovely… he doubled and triple checked we had everyone before we left Etna and one lady was a late returner! We stopped twice on route to Etna for pictures and for a drink/wee stop. The only reason I give 4 stars not 5 is that it is only when we arrived that we realised once there for a 3 hour stop ultimately you do need to purchase some sort of add on tour. The cable car is 50 euros per person, the cable car mini bus tour was 87 euros a person and then the Etna train tour is 10 euros each. I am gonna be honest with 2 kids we did go budget and I am actually glad we did as the train tour got a thumbs up from both kids and us but once I had paid the 95 euros for the bus I hadn’t expected to then have to pay lots more. Overall we had a super day and I would recommend the trip. Commentary in all languages on bus too and free headphones to listen.

    5 places in 48 hours
I visited Catania, Siracusa, Ortegia, Noto and Ragusa all in under 48 hours. Excellent flight times and trains allowed me to move around without wasting time and I loved it. I also ate on the go which saves loads of time. Google up images of these places - stunning baroque architecture, land and seaviews as well as new food (for me). I had time to enter some of the churches and witnessed a wedding at the Noto cathedral! Prepare for uphill walks in Ragusa but itwas stunning! Ortigia is fab and so is Catania. I used Siracusa as my base with 2 overnight stays and visited the archeological park, too. Next time I'll try the west coast of Sicily.

    Mount Etna bus panorama
What a great trip, the bus drivers are amazing travelling those roads and so narrow. Amazing. The drivers were very professional and made sure everyone was safe at all times. We travelled through some littles towns on the way to Mount Etna. What a miracle and saddening the damage the eruption did. Seeing an old church nothing left but the cross and the roof. As we travelled up the 2000 m it got colder be mindful even if it is beautiful bring a windbreaker or a sweater it go very cold. Lots of souvenir shops to choose from. You can go quadding or take a little train around for 1 hour. There is trekking hiking as well or go on your own and there is a chair lift.

    An Unexpected Adventure
During our recent visit to Catania, we decided to take a ride on the famous little train, despite reading a review titled "no fun train" that had prepared us for the worst. However, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. As the previous review had warned, the ride was indeed quite loud, with cars zooming past us. The audio guide was difficult to understand, and the translation seemed a bit rough around the edges. Nevertheless, we managed to catch some interesting facts about the city along the way. Inevitably, something had to happen in the narrow streets of Catania. We encountered a minor accident when a senior citizen accidentally bumped into the rear part of our train while trying to park. Luckily, everything unfolded in slow motion, resulting in just a few scratches on the back carriage, and fortunately, no one was hurt. Our driver handled the situation with great composure. He remained calm and swiftly resolved the matter, allowing us to resume our journey through the ancient streets of Catania. The incident brought the passengers closer together, and our driver's gentle demeanor in the face of an upset senior was truly inspiring. Furthermore, our driver's skills were remarkable. Even in the tightest streets, he navigated effortlessly without any issues. We felt safe throughout the ride, thanks to his expertise behind the wheel. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with the ride, especially considering the fair price of €5 for a journey that lasted a little over 40 minutes. It's worth mentioning the issue with the audio guide once again. Yes, it was challenging to understand at times, and the pace was occasionally too fast to keep up with. However, perhaps that's just the way Catania is—vibrant, lively, and full of surprises. If you're up for an unexpected adventure through the streets of Catania, hop on the little train. Just be prepared for a bit of noise, a bumpy translation, and the possibility of a minor incident. Ultimately, it's all part of the experience that makes Catania unique.

    Exactly what we wanted
Our small group left Catania promptly in a lovely, clean mini van. After a quick pit stop to take a few photos of Isola Bella we arrived in Taormina with clear instructions to reconvene 3 hours later. We then made another quick stop at Castelmola, finally arriving back in Catania about 7 hours after we left. This isn’t really a guided tour and don’t expect to actually go to Isola Bella but if you’re looking for a clean and efficient way of getting from Catania to Taormina for a quick visit then this is perfect. This was exactly what we wanted and we had a great trip!

    An excellent tour!
Chiara is smart, knowledgeable, and has a sense of humor; all making for an informative and enjoyable tour. She is very generous with her time and clearly enjoys what she does. Taormina is a magical place and Chiara helps bring the history and culture alive so you really get a feel for the place. Would highly recommend!

    Amazing tour to Etna
All went as expected; we saw some fantastic views, we had a safe trip, and everyone was ready to offer all the information needed. Everything went perfectly. The trip to Etna was the peak moment of our journey to Catania. Amazing place.

In the morning the weather was not the best to go to Etna and to visit the other points of interest, but the trip was still going to happen because the agency said there was going to be better weather in a few hours. Once we got up to Etna, first it was snowy and super windy so almost impossible to walk around, but mostly dangerous. Noone mentioned what type of clothing was needed to walk once reached 2000m, especially because it was not expected for us to find such a big amount of snow.
On the way to Taormina, we stopped in the street where we could have taken pictures from the top, pretty far and basically with no info on how to reach the beach and the actual island from up there. According to the program of the trip, there was supposed to be a stay of 1 hour and a half on the top of Etna, then three hours in Taormina, to finish with 30 minutes in Isola Bella, before going back to Catania. Because of this, everyone believed they could have visited the island and the beach later, expecting to be closer there and to easily reach these spots. We then reached Taormina, after 10 minutes of stopping to take pictures, and there the driver said after three hours we were going back to Catania. Some people of our group asked if after the three hours we were going to stop in Isola Bella as planned, but the driver said that the time we had to take pictures far away from the island was covering that half of hour supposed to be spent on the island later. He said that in this period and because of this weather there is not much to do on the island so the spot we stopped was enough. See how the weather now becomes an excuse, while before, the trip was not cancelled and it was all ok when it was not.
Talking about the experience of the taxi, the driver was a bit rude, and not the best at communicating in English, not a good thing for international tourists. He was also rude to those tourists who tried to ask about the stay in Isola Bella. Moreover, he was speeding all the time, not slowing down on the turns on the mountain and at some point, we were about to crash with a car in front because he did not stop on time. He was sometimes at the phone while driving and this is not safe at all. Also, in the van, the seatbelts were not working correctly.
In the end, for the big amount of money we spent, we do not recommend this service because of our experience, resulting not what we were expecting and what we paid for.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!

Came off the cruise ship hoping to take a private tour from the pier, we were approached by Desire and Yahya. They offered us an 8 hour excursion in 2 private mini vans, to accomodate for our party of 12, which sounded great until we paid.... DESIRÉ, YAHYA, JAMEL, & DI(??) are by far the worst, uncaring and manipulative "tour guides"

"Two minutes, two minutes" they promised, but an hour later neither bus, car or van arrived. 40 minutes later, only one bus showed up.. In that time, we attempted to get our money back, as they were clearly wasting our time. They were incredibly rude, dismissive and AGGRESSIVE. Shouting at us to calm down, screaming vulgar and discrimnatory words at my 80 year old aunt in her face.

Finally after another half hour, the second van made an appearance only to be carrying 3 other passengers. Despite asking for 2 PRIVATE vans to seat 12 total, they insisted we would all fit in one.. LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES BY "TOURIST SERVICE" at the port of Catalania.

We had asked for a bottle of water to share between the 12 of us, as it was well over 27°C in the scorching sun. Jamel, one of the scammers then grabbed the bottle out of our hands yelling at us to give him money for the bottle. When I said that a €5 bottle was plenty to exchange for our wasted time, he proceeded to pour the water on the floor whilst swearing at us.. Incredibly unprofessional.

Now the BEST part of the experience; when I took out my phone to take pictures of the scammers, they immediately grabbed my arm trying to get hold of my phone. I yanked away only to be held down by 4 of their colleagues while three others shouted and spat in my face. A tourist on a nearby bus ran over in fear of my safety.. (if you are reading this, thank you).

I spoke calmly when trying to explain that spending an hour and a half promising taxis, taking €500 and refusing to give it back was unacceptable. Only to be harrased and physically hurt. Luckily I got away with a sore arm, some minor bruising and a deaf ear.

In all my years of traveling, I have NEVER experienced anything like this, EVER. My family and I are absolutely appalled by their behaviour and lack of remorse. Clearly money is more important than anything.

We booked a tour for Etna 2 hours , Iso Bella - 30 minutes and 3 hours Taormina , starts 10:00 - 18:30 , when we started the tour they said that the tour in Iso Bella will be only 10 minutes , then they asked if we have a face mask ( covid 19 ) and if we don’t have a mask we can buy from them for 1 euro for 2 masks ( no one said anything about a mask when we booked ) when started the tour , the driver was driving like crazy , like there is no rules , we arrived to Etna and there was no tour just 2 hours of free time , after it the driver said that we will have 5 minutes stop at Iso bella , when we arrived to iso bella , the driver stoped the van on the road and said to us that we have 2 minutes for photos and thats it , then he drived like crazy to Taormina and we spent 3 hours there … the driver treat us very bad , poor tour
