Giuseppe Veneziano is a friendly and knowledgeable guide. He picked us up on time, kept the conversation going all day, and constantly made sure we were being safe and having a good time. If you want a guide who is personable and knows about volcanoes, then you should definitely book an outing with Giuseppe. We're definitely going to book with him again on our next trip to Sicily.

An amzing tour! To discover the ancient history of Sicily, walking through the beautiful caniyons of Calcinara and Anapo rivers, surrounded of the unique nature, aquamarine clear water of the rivers and caves, shaped over the senturies - priceless. Pantalica is everithing - history, archaeology, nature.. It has to be experienced! Thank you Giuseppe! We'll be back again in Sicily for new adventures!

We had a great day on Mt Etna with Giuseppe sharing his extensive knowledge of the volcano as well as the flora and fauna on it. We hiked 2 trails, not difficult, but hiking poles were useful on the rocky section of the first trail. The scenery was amazing and having a guide made all the difference to the experience, it was such an enjoyable and fascinating day.

Full-Day Private Mount Etna Experience from Siracusa Guissepe is personable,knowledeable and professional. On our tour to Etna he shared much information about the volcano and its origins. He knew all the right spots to take amazing pictures and where to stop just to enjoy the beauty of the landscape. His knowledge of endemic plant and animal species is amazing. He also has great knowledge of food and shared recipes and also great restaurant recommendations in Ortigia, where we stayed. He also shared much about Siracusa and the way of life. He is an excellent driver and my wife and I could not ask for a better guide. Guissepe accurately judged the fitness level/capabilities of my wife and I, and brought us on a 6km hike on the "Donkey Back" trail and then to a climb up one of the Silvestri Craters after lunch. There were a few steep elevation climbs, but nothing that we could not handle. The 2 hikes were a great way to see the variation in the terrain. The Donkey back trail really showed us how the volcano was evolving, and the views, (along with Guissepe's explanations) really let us learn about the impact of Etna on the surrounding region as we had stunning views of Catania and also down the coast towards Siracusa. The Silvestri crater was more of a "moonscape" and allowed us to see a crater close up. Guissepe is a first class guide.

What a special day we had in the company of Giuseppe visiting Etna. We were picked up on time from Ortigia and driven to Etna, with lots of information about Sicily and the areas surrounding the volcano. The initial climb was quite steep, but we were never made to feel bad when we needed a rest. We were treated to lots of information about geology, nature and wildlife. The views were incredible and well worth the walk. I thoroughly recommend Giuseppe and this experience 🙂

Guiseppe was an amazing guide!! I have travelled a lot, and he was outstanding. He picked us up at our hotel promptly at 830, this was a private tour, and then drove to Etna, answering our many questions for the entire ride. At Etna he suggested I rent hiking boots for 8€ which was a great idea. We then started our hike and he continued to share his deep knowledge about volcanoes. He stopped or paused as we needed as the beginning was fairly steep. It was a fabulous 3 mile hike. We had a nice lite lunch and then walked around the Silvestri crater. He then drove us back and we talked a lot about general issues in Italy like education and employment. After dropping us off he realized I had left a pair of glasses in his car and he notified me and circled back and handed them to me. This was an outstanding tour!!

Fantastic and informative day discussing all things history and wildlife. A lovely break from ancient city life. Giuseppe picked us up from Ortigia and helped us find the best bus back to Catania for our plane. We saw beautiful blue waters and despite being freezing, we went for a swim which was incredible. Really relaxed and enjoyable day. One of the highlights of our weeks holiday. Definitely recommend for those looking to explore Sicily's nature. He also offers cookery and other fun explorations which also sound great but we ran out of time.

The tour is well-tailored to the time of the year, weather, and conditions; beautiful and instructive. It is of average physical demands, offering splendid vistas, and leading through picturesque landscape for a total of ca 6 km. One gets a competent and friendly guiding from Giuseppe, telling about the geological structure of Mt Etna, the biology of the Natipnal Park, as well as about the culture and even economy of the region. The pick-up from Siracusa works very well, with sufficient choice of the meeting points and comfortable car travel. Finally: a rewarding and satysfying full day experience. Highly recommendable.

Guiseppe Veneziano was a brilliant guide, actively ensuring we were comfortable with the pace and exertion effort. A fabulous day that was probably warmer than we had anticipated. We had a lovely day away from the cruise ship crowds driving along the coast of Sicily and hiking along Etna. Giuseppe customized the day for what we were wanting to do. He's knowledgable, entertaining, and kind. The views were wonderful and there was so much variety in the landscape along the hike from wheat fields to what felt like the surface of the moon.

Incredible experience, was a definite highlight of our trip. Giuseppe was knowledgable about the area and it was amazing to see parts of Etna we wouldn’t have found ourselves. The wine tasting and food at the winery was fantastic and we loved every moment of the day.

As a family of four, with young adult daughters in Syracuse for a week, we wanted a guide to walk us around Etna for the day. Guiseppe was fully clued up on information of Volcanoes, Etna and its history, as well as the flora and fauna of the area. His interest, knowledge and experience, both in Italy and abroad is extensive, yet his love of his corner of Sicily was gradually revealed; over the day we learnt he was also a mine of historical information on the antiquities and monuments in and around Syracuse. Guiseppe talked modestly and easily with each of us, it was a real pleasure to be with him, he was such good and easy company as well as an excellent guide.
