Our guide provided very interesting scientific and historic stories about Mount Etna and volcanology in general. Also about other interesting features of the landscape to and from Mount Etna. The vehicle was very comfortable all very fascinating. I had been to Aetna without a guide a few years ago, and the guided tour was far away, more informative, and interesting

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT !! Giuseppe was fantastic from the outset. He was very easy to get along with and put my children and I at ease. He was very patient and made sure that they were engaged and enjoying themselves on the long climb. His knowledge about the botany and geology of Etna was particularly interesting for me as an archaeobotany student. He was also able to explain things in child friendly terms. My kids LOVED being able to run down the volcano and I loved the views. The fact that he picked us up and took us back to our residence as part of the tour was a bonus. Cannot recommend Giuseppe more highly and hope to return to Sicily one day so that I can do more of his tours.

We highly recommend this hiking and nature tour by Giuseppe! He was an amazing guide, and we throughly enjoyed our hike on Mt Etna. Giuseppe was prompt in picking us up near our hotel, and we enjoyed getting to know him and learning about Sicilian towns, foods, and culture during the ride up. He was very friendly and attentive during the hike, and we enjoyed learning about the history and science of the volcanos here, as well as the wildlife and plants on the mountain. The hike was challenging in a fun way, and the views were incredibly breathtaking. We always felt safe, and are very happy we decided to book this tour with him!

Giuseppe is a fantastic tour guide. He made it easy for us to meet up with him, and he was completely in tune with our interests and made special efforts to accommodate them. For example, I was interested in wildflowers, especially orchids, and he helped us find and identify at least five different types of orchids that were in bloom. He was 100% knowledgeable about the area, including the history, the flora, and the terrain, and he was prepared, supplying us with trekking poles where the terrain was rough. I'm sorry I didn't have enough time to go with him on another tour!

Giuseppe is a very knowledgeable and affable guide. His English is excellent and he is a font of knowledge on the natural history relating to Etna. He is a careful and considerate driver also. If you want to get off the beaten track to see Etna ‘through the back door’, Guiseppe is your man! We would highly recommend him. Apparently he hosts cooking classes at his family home near Siracusa too. Something to return for. :)

We had a very good day with Giuseppe on Mount Etna. The hiking was about 6 km. He shared his huge knowledge with us and was always friendly and took his time to answer our questions.

My daughter and I had organised our trip to Siracusa and decided to book Mt Etna walking tour with Giuseppe. We are very glad we did, Giuseppe had extensive knowledge of the area, history of Mt Etna and even great restaurant recommendations near to where we stayed. His enthusiasm and passion for what he does really shone through. The hike on Mt Etna was challenging enough and the views very much worth it! Would highly recommend booking!

We had a great day out with Giuseppe and learnt a lot about the Etna and Sicily. He took us to a spot about 2100m above sea. Great tour of about 2.5 hours off the beaten tracks, with fantastic views. It's well below the summit, you don't get to the main craters on top, but you get a very good idea of the volcanic activity and we did not want to use the super-expensive cable cars and do the obvious touristic thing. Better trust this local guide! Besides, it was very windy and pretty chilly in mid-October on our height of Etna already - a difference of about 15 to 20 degrees to warm Siracusa! I can barely imagine how it would have been on top... I should also mention that Giuseppe is a good driver - we felt comfortable with him all day. Highly recommended.

Great day out - Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and had tons of interesting facts about the Bronze Age, plate tectonics, and flora. Accessible walk with lots of breaks. Amazing views. Highly recommend!
