Enjoyed the tour, and knowledgeable guide added to whole experience. Pretty straightforward, drive to 2000 meter where there is a whole tourism type set up with shops and parking. Get cable car to 2500 mtr and then 4WD bus to 2750mtr which is furthest you can go. Short walk to ox crator. Cave was a bit underwhelming but interesting to learn how they form and the extent to which they riddle the area. Visit for honey tasting was also good and bought some local fare. Points to note, need light jacket as temp drops the higher you go. No harm in taking a packed lunch. Can be cloudy/misty at 2750mtr so you may not really see much. If misty do keep every one in sight as can get lost.

We want to say the largest “thank you” to Marilena It was a wonderful trip! First of all Marilena was really nice and cute. We got interesting information and it was really clear, we made pauses for taking pictures and had pleasant conversations🥰 We saw amazing landscapes, we were in the lava caves (inside!!) and tried unis olives oil. To sum up, I really recommend to go to the Etna with these guys. Everything from first connections to the food were brilliant. Moreover, we found out much fascinating not only about Etna but also about Catania city.

We took the Etna morning trip. Our guide Marilena was a fantastic personality, very pleasant to hear and accompanied my 78 year old dad everywhere. She was very patient and has a great amount of knowledge about the Etna and its history. If we come back to the Etna, we will surely like to have a Marilena as a guide. We did the crater tour with Simon, just my wife and I, and it was outstanding. He drove us to all the places that mattered, and a highlight was the lava tube. HIs English was fantastic, and his knowledge of the place and its history was outstanding. When we declined climbing a more strenuous walk to the summit, he took us the a smaller but flatter crater down the hill. Had we been younger or in better shape we could have had all the hiking we wanted. Instead, it was prefect for our legs. I recommend this tour (also 1. leave early in the morning for the site before the cruiseboat tourists swamp the place. 2. It is VERY windy up top and I had a jacket but could have used a hooded sweatshirt as well.

The tour was fantastic. We had a lovely guide, Giovanni, who was very knowledgeable. Our group was small, so it was like a personal tour just for us. Really really enjoyed our morning, I’d recommend really highly.

Beautiful experience. Aristide Tomasino was a fantastic guide. He is an amazing enthusiastic person who knows the Etna Volcano from its inside out. He is graduated in Biochemistry and a fantastic High School teacher. We are grateful to have met him and we will come back to Sicily again.

We had a great time on our tour with our guide Marilena, who was very informative and provided us with a lot of facts and information. Not only about Etna, but also for visiting Catania in general as well. The tour was very well organized, we got to see many interesting places and the view of Etna from the sites were incredible. Also got to do some tasting of local products, such as honey, olives, wine etc which was delicious. Would definitely recommend for anyone thinking about taking a tour of Etna.

Very safe, easy and interesting trip to the craters and cave and lava flows. I traveled with two young kids in the winter time and there were no issues. We enjoyed and learned a lot. Marilena, la Guida, has been very friendly, flexible, responsible and knowledgable. We also enjoyed local specialities and took some home. We faced technical issues when booking the trip day before and they appeared to be very flexible and available to secure our excursion, despite late hour of confirming. Many thanks as the issue was totally on my side!

We loved seeing the lava flow, exploring the cave, and hiking the crater. Marelana was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. We learned and saw so much more of Etna than if we had gone on our own.

We had booked the Etna sunset tour and Marilena, our guide, made it a very nice event for us that we truly enjoyed. The tour included multiple stops such as for wine and honey tasting, visiting a place where some lava flow stopped right at a village, going into a cave etc. and last but not least climbing up some crater to see the sunset from there. Marilena was very knowledgeable about all the places and their history etc. and gave us all the explanations and answers to our questions in an easy to understand English. So we can certainly recommend doing that tour with that operator and of course Marilena as a guide.

We booked the tour only a few hours in advance, because our morning tour got canceled due rain. We really enjoyed the tour with our guide Florinda! She told us so much about Etna and showed as the best spots. Would recommend the tour!

Not quite what I expected. I was of the impression that the tour would guide you to the eruption but no. We stayed far from. Doing the afternoon trip also means not taking the cable car 🚠 that stops at 16.00. We saw many interesting things as well as our guide was pleasant to be with and very good at telling about the eruptions. I have to admit that our teenagers didn’t have the same positive opinion as there was missing some action . Happy to have experienced it .
