Monreale is stunning. I would imagine it gets very busy in the holiday season, but worth visiting. The catacombs are a bit creepy, visited once wouldn’t want to visit again.

They charge me for full day tour and delivered half day tour
The trip wasn't good. We didn't have time to explore on our own and we only visited 1 church in Monreale and 1 Duomo in Cefalu. It said full day tour with snacks and drinks. It started at 9 am with driving and we came back before 3 pm. It said on voucher tour should be 7-9 hours with snack and drinks. I would like to get a refund as many things promised on Tripadvisor weren't true.

    Cancellation without notice
We checked in the day before tour at phone number given: no answer so left a message. No response. Called back twice: no response. Third time got someone who did not speak English except to say « guide sick » and hung up. had hotel call back and concierge spoke with Domenico who said tour cancelled and hung up. Hotel called back and made him promise a refund (got notification a few hours later). Extremely unprofessional: no answer no notifications and had to push for a refund

    Not a tour
This is not a tour.. we were picked up at our hotel and driven to sights. There is NO tour guide who explains the sights. We were charged $77 each for a ride to the sights. We would have been better off going on our own to Monreale and Catacombs.

    Great trip
Had a wonderful day with Simon, our guide. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. The cathedral at Monreale is very beautiful and well worth the visit. The Catacombes were absolutely fascinating and my favourite part. I am so pleased we had the opportunity to visit, although wouldn’t recommend taking children as they may be frightened. It was such a privilege to be part of the tour.

Monreale - gorgeous. Catacombs - stay away
The tour was magnificent, and both our driver, Frank and guide, Simon were absolutely wonderful. We were picked up as requested from our accommodation, (however, it was quite stressful to be completely unable to contact the tour operator Palermobility as they had requested, by phone or email, to confirm the tour). Thus we found ourselves entirely unsure, though greatly relieved when the car arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. It is impossible to put into words how magnificent Monreale is and our tour guide Simon made the experience very accessible through his knowledge and obvious love of history and the art and architecture of this unique place. We also very much enjoyed his guidance in choosing sweets at the café. However, we feel very different about the experience of the Cappuccin Order selling the viewing of the dead whose remains they are charged with caring for. The display of corpses hung in mummified state on the walls of the catacombs is macabre; they are in a desperate state of both disrepair and obvious disregard for the condition of the dead. This opinion is not a reflection on our tour guide or driver, but rather on the catacombs themselves, and the people responsible for this sacred site. While we highly recommend the tour of Monreale, we warn against the the tour of the Catacombs. Simon was knowledgeable, and tried to make the best of a strange experience. If we were advising friends, we would recommend the Monreale tour, but would emphatically advise against viewing the Catacombs; it feels disrespectful.

    Amazing!
Breathtaking views, the visit was worth the price. The guide was very prepared and all my questions were answered. The timetable was full but not exhausting. Had a very good time!

My husband and I went on the "Mysteries of Palermo" walking tour. Our tour guide, Ester, made our whole trip to Palermo so much more interesting and exciting! Her English is excellent and she took us places we would not have found ourselves. We are so glad we decided to do the tour. We would recommend it to anyone who is interested in Italian history and culture.

With a local guide, it's a whole different thing!

The Palermo of mysteries, history, monuments, Arabic domes, the cathedral. A beautiful city, that we loved thanks to our local guide Simon, a true lover of his city. Surely we will try the other tours of this company!

Palermo, wonderful!

I booked this tour for me and my girlfriend because we were attracted by the title related to mysteries and curiosities. Palermo is really a wonderful city! Congratulations to the local guide Simon, a great expert of his city! I recommend it!

We really recommend this tour that leads you to discover the most curious and hidden part of the beautiful city of Palermo, a city rich in history and monuments that needs a local guide to discover it. Recommended!
