- Soullesdragon0 contributionsPalermo street food and walking tourIt was a wonderful tour. Fabrizio, being a local, had a different insight onto the local history and food, so it felt like we had sort of a personalised tour. We did a few food stops and they were all excellent. His english is very good and he had no issues explaining everything to us. He was also very accommodating with pauses to take photos and ask questions. Highly recommend!!!Written January 16, 2025
- ronisuef0 contributionsFun and interesting food and history tourThis was such a fun and interesting tour. Fabrizia was a fantastic tour guide. I have 3 teenagers and he made the tour interesting for everyone. We tasted lists of great food and learning a lot of history. My husband is gluten free and Fabrizia had gluten free food for him. I would definitely take this tour!!Written January 16, 2025

- mscott19770 contributionsGreat overview with FabrizoWe had a great time on the Market and Monuments tour. Fabrizo was great - very knowledgeable yet also knew the right amount of detail to provide. The tour was 1.5-2 hours of Il Capo market and 1-1.5 hours of 'monuments' - Cathedral, Quatro Canti, etc. I probably would like a bit more monuments, my wife a bit more market - so probably the right mix! Highly recommended.Written September 5, 2024

Fabrizio was extremely responsive and able to accommodate my wife and I on a short notice. He prefers to keep the groups small and intimate, which is good, because to see the interesting places you’ll want to see, you may have to navigate some crowds. He adores the beautiful city of Palermo and is intimately familiar with local history; he happily shares that history and it provides an interesting backdrop for what you are looking at in the moment. Then there’s the food. Wow. We skipped a lot of crowds and somehow found ourselves with front row seating for an excellent culinary experience (again, thanks, Fabrizio!). He challenged us to try foods we were unfamiliar with and we were glad that he did. The tour was fun and simply unforgettable.

I took the tour with my two daughters (10 and 13). It was a fun way to explore the city and taste some typical street food along the way. This made it fun, especially for the kids. Fabrizio is very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor too! I highly recommend this your, especially as a way of introduction to Palermo!

I can't recommend this tour highly enough. It is both a street food tour and a tour of the historic center of Palermo. We visited the major market, sampling several types of street food, then finished the tour with cannoli at a cafe near the Quattro Canti. In between, we visited the Duomo, walked through charming old neighborhoods, chatted with elderly men selling cow innards, and learned a remarkable amount of history and local lore from our guide, Fabrizio. It was a great way to lead off our stay in Palermo.

We spent our first day in Palermo on Fabrizio’s tour. It was a very informative and entertaining three hours where we learned the history and legends of Palermo, as well as received detailed information about the various street food we sampled.
We would do this tour again and recommend it to everyone on their first day in Palermo!

Amazing tour. Glad we did this on our first day in Palermo. Fabrizio balanced his tour with two couples. One American and one Italian. Wonderful experience for all. The food tasting was a surprise and sensational. Tour complimented our following day tours in Palermo. Would highly recommend this tour on your first days in Palermo/Sicily.

What a fun and educational tour with Fabrizio! He was very knowledgeable and you really felt like a local going through the markets. We got to go inside the beautiful cathedral with a fascinating sun dial. I would highly recommend this tour to get a taste of Palermo.

On our last day in Palermo we decided to do the walking tour with Fabrizzio and it was a great way to finish our stay. He is friendly and accommodating as he takes you through the markets while providing some local history. The food gives you a good feel for Sicilian street food and he takes the time to explain their history and how the names came to be. Would highly recommend to anyone but may be better on your first day so you can get a feel for places to visit during your stay and get restaurant recommendations from Fabrizzio.

Msc Meraviglia arrival time is 0900 and departure 1500. Is this tour possible in that time frame?
Written July 10, 2018
Yes. We start from the port at 10.00 and finish at 13.00. So you have enough time to come back to the ship. I hope to read you again. Fabrizio
