How this tour was advertised was not at all how it was experienced. We went as a group of 4, with the promise of a castle tour and wine tasting, however when we arrived were told our tickets were invalid as the castle does not deal with any online ticket purchases. Upon hearing this, we showed the workers of Soave Castle the package description along with the price paid, and we were advised that we had been scammed. The tour billed itself as having hotel pick-up and drop off for a 6 hour experience of Soave Castle and an additional Wine Tasting component. The package indicated that entry/admission was included and further indicated the wine tour would take place in a renowned cellar nearby. There was no tour of the castle and there was no wine tasting. We paid for a package only to then be told at the time of the scheduled events that everything was extra.

WARNING - this tour is a scam, avoid it at all costs! Multiple advertised portions of this tour do not actually exist; the cost of the Soave Castle tour was not included in the booking fee (and upon arrival they informed us that they do not even offer mobile tickets for castle admission in the first place), there is no ‘2nd castle’ location as suggested in the itinerary, and there was no reservation actually made for tastings at any wineries in the Montforte d’Alpone region - upon contacting Viator, they said the cost of the trip was only for the transportation to get to Soave Castle, which is contradictory to everything listed on the tour itinerary and information package that was advertised. Do NOT book this tour!

Spectacular incompetence, when we didn't need a car and driver he was there, when we needed them nothing, had to use taxi despite paying for this imaginary service

We were picked up from the airport but did not receive the tour. When I contacted the company to get a partial refund….they said that they waited for us at the airport for hours and we never showed up. It was a complete lie. Their driver had our name and picked us up and brought us to the hotel but did not give us the tour we paid for. We booked many other services and tours while in Italy for 3 weeks with other companies and never had a problem. This company was a scam.

We had this company booked for airport transfer in Venice great communication and our driver today was fantastic. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name but we met her at piazzale roma Venice and she dropped us to the airport. She arrived early & found us no issues absolutely stunning Mercedes nicest car I’ve ever been in & spotless! Lovely lady excellent English would highly recommend for Venice airport transfer. Well done 👍

It was difficult to get a cab when we got off train. Very frustrated. Make sure you have transportation. In the end I did buy a bag. I purchased a sample bag… one of. Kind. Getting back to train also impossible

What a trip! Adam, our driver, was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The day went according to plan and we had marvellous visits to both the extensive complex of Villa Adriana and then taken up the hill to Villa d’Este and its magnificent water gardens. Thoroughly recommend this out of Rome trip although pre-trip communication from the local provider could be improved.
