The owner driver Giovanni was very friendly and knowledgeable plus helpful. Sometimes it was difficult to understand what he was saying, but he was very accommodating and willing to please. When it started pouring rain, he stopped and found us a place to stay relatively dry. He provided helpful and appreciated suggestions about the area to include beautiful beaches, transportation, restaurant recommendations, etc. He was a gem! Only 1 chance to visit and enjoy a city built like a Fortress....Rent the Apecar. 40 minutes around beautiful streets, magic lookouts from the top of the castle. Mauro, a very sympathic local, has been driving us through the city with his wonderful and sweet Ape Calessino for almost 2 hours. We explained quiet some very interesting details about the city and its history. Even answered some questions ans especially made some changes to the tour with some extra wishes we made, like seeing the main street for street art. Really nice!!! He absolutely knows his city and knows his job as a guide! Of course he is a good driver as well, we felt totallly safe and comfortable in this beautiful Ape. As we were three people, we had to book to tuk tuks and as we did this only the day before, the second drive didn't speak any English. Not a deal breaker but that info would have been nice to know when booking. I'd have liked the tour to last a bit longer to allow more stops as it felt rushed in areas as you're forced to take pics while moving. The guide was quite knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed the whole ride, amazing view, visit cathedrals and some other places. Tuktuk driver Mauro was really friendly and relaxed. He told me about the city and history.. Mauro was an excellent guide - very punctual and to be honest it's the only way to see the Old Town and much more if you are based at Poetto Beach. The nearest I can describe the experience is like being in one of the Mini's in the Italian Job! Nipping in and out of unmissable narrow streets you would possibly ignore if you were on foot and you certainly couldn't get to with anything bigger than the Tuk Tuk.
Mauro is a font of knowledge about the City and the Tuk Tuk was really comfortable - with its open top and seating for two it is the perfect Covid safe vehicle.
I have rarely had so much fun getting an overview of the City. This is not to be missed!

Tuk tuk is really the best way to visit Cagliari unless you have a physical of a mountain goat :). Mauro is awesome, really cool guy, super easy to make a personalized tour with him depending on the time you have. He was also great in giving the tips for visiting the other bits of the island, so strongly recommend getting Mauro as a personal Cagliari guide!

My partner and I went on this tour with Mauro while we visited Sardinia. He is a native to Cagliari and gave us such a great adventure in the Tuk Tuk! We saw the beaches, flamingos, castles and so much more! Definitely recommend this tour while you are there, especially the first part of your trip so you will be more familiar with the city! Mauro also gave us great recommendations on where to eat, so don’t hesitate to ask him!

We called Mauro on Sept 8 morning for an afternoon tour. He was able to fit us in and lead a great tour, through some narrow streets and secluded sights. Extremity knowledgeable and polite. Speaks English very well. A unique experience riding in this APE (Italian for bee) taxi. Custom made for touring this old city. Highly recommended.
