      Roman excavations at Nora
We walked here from our hotel but there are tours from various locations. It's well worth a visit, and I would recommend at least buying an audio guide, or joining a guided tour. There are signs around but as it's an active site with excavation still happening these signs move around or are temporarily missing. You need decent shoes.

So much history in a beautiful location.
Excellent small group tour with a very informative guide. The Nora site is large with lots to see in a beautiful location. The tour was relaxed and the knowledgable guide made it a wonderful experience.

Great activity, professional service from Arasolè Day tours
This was great value - it included the transport, entry ticket and Raffaela our fantastic and friendly tour guide. She is a trained archaeologist and a Sardinian so her knowledge of the site was fantastic, and we learned a lot more from her about Cagliari generally an the drive to and from Nora. In a small group with a professional guide, we were able to ask as many questions as we liked, and were not just seeing sights from the Temple of Tanit, the ancient mosaics and the Roman theatre, but given detailed information to learn about the history of the ancient city of Nora and recognise the different architectural elements from various periods. So as the first Phoenician city in Sardinia (8th century BC) then Carthaginian and Roman, it had a number of influences. The tour started on time, the van was air conditioned, clean, comfortable and we returned on time. The site had an enormous amount to look at. It is not necessary to book but highly recommend you do so as to not miss out on seat. It is a site with little shade, so take a water bottle, hat, sunscreen and even an umbrella in the summer. There is a small cafe and toilets beside the ticket office. On the drive to Nora and back we were able to see pink flamingos which was an added bonus. If we had longer in Cagliari and time to do any more tours we would definitely use Arasolè.

An unmissable site with a great guide!
We thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning with Laura. She was knowledgeable about Nora and gave a running commentary on the drive there about Cagliari and the island of Sardegna. She was well prepared and was very enthusiastic. She obviously enjoyed her job which made the tour more fun for us. I would highly recommend Laura and the tour to Nora as a lovely day to spend the morning in Sardegna.

      Cagliari walking tour from the cruise terminal;
We booked this tour via trip advisor, it was operated through Viator. The tour operator was Arasole day tours We were on a cruise ship, and so needed the meeting point to be fairly close to the cruise terminal. The pick up point was near the top of the main street, and an easy walk from the cruise terminal. Just head up the main street, see he large statue in the middle and your there, outside the cafe Largo Felice There were only 5 of us in the group and the tour guide spoke in both English and Italian. She was very well informed and pleasant young lady who took time to answer any questions we had. The tour itself was an easy walk around the centre of the city, a bit hilly but nothing too much. The tour ended in a different place, but its very easy to find your bearings, the tour guide gave us excellent advice. I would highly recommend this walking tour if you are to visit Cagliari

      Fantastic Walking Tour
Such an amazing tour and a wonderful tour guide. Although I was the only English speaker, but she was still able to give information in Spanish (for the rest of the tour) and English. Very kind and welcoming. And the views of the city are fantastic. Thank you!

      Great tour
Valentina gave us tours of both Nora and Cagliari, very knowledgeable about both and super friendly. I really appreciated how she knew about the latest archeological discoveries at Nora and not just a memorized script like some guides

      Stroll with a friend...
We had a lovely time with Rafaella, who showed us the city. She was patient with all our questions and even added some information to our earlier visit of Nuraghe Su Nuraxi. It felt like we were on a stroll with a friend.

A wonderful excursion in Alghero with an exceptional tour guide from Arasolè!
We traveled from Cagliari to the Alghero region and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was a long drive but worth it! Raffaela was an exceptional guide and hostess. We sensed from the beginning that she was very knowledgeable, resourceful, and proud of Sardinia. We quickly bonded with her because of her extremely friendly personality. Raffaela went over and above expectations for a guide. Her patience, her adaptability and the care she took of us were of note. She is an excellent driver and we felt very safe in her extremely capable hands. We learned a lot about this beautiful country and she made us fall in love with Sardinia. We shall come back! We absolutely recommend Raffaela for any guide requirement anyone may have in Sardinia.

First of all guides were amazing! Special thanks to Rafaela and Chinzia! So friendly and nice people. They answered any questions we asked and were really lovely talking during moving from one stop to another.
Trip went perfectly well from the begging to the end. We could take our time to see/try all the things we stopped at. They’ve also made pictures of us during the trip and shared later. That was surprisingly nice, bc we didn’t take pictures a lot while we were on that trip.

This exceeded my expectations. The friendly guide and driver spoke English well and was very keen to explain EVERYTHING about Sardinia, including its complete history, unique elements of its culture, and of course, the Nuraghi. She was also knowledgable about the wildlife, and we managed to see the wild horses on the high plain (eventually).

This was our favorite tour of our trip, hands down. Renato is an excellent guide, in every way, introducing us to this fascinating site with in-depth knowledge. We peppered him with questions about Sardinia which he handled with ease.

Sadly we were in port later and for less time than originally planned. We contacted the tour operator and they were able to promptly and graciously revise the tour start to accommodate us.

We had a wonderful tour with Renato this week. We have been on many tours in different countries and always feel that the tour guide makes or breaks the tour. Renato was so knowledgeable on all the sites, Sardinian history and culture and even speaks many languages. He is a friendly person who is passionate about his work and it shows. We learned so much and truly had a great time. At the end of the day we felt like we made some new friends. This tour was the highlight of our trip in Sardinia.

Our experienced, knowledgeable and friendly guide, Valentina was brilliant and customised our private tour of Barumini. The Su Nuraghe (1400 yrs BC, Bronze Age) archaeological site is amazing, and a worthy Unesco world heritage site, and going in off-peak we had the site nearly to ourselves. The Casa Zapata museum is also very good. Anyone with any interest in history should go and see this site, and any of the other 7000 Nuraghe on the wonderful island of Sardinia.

Big thanks to Raffaela and Chenzia. They were both welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was such a fun day to learn about Sardinian history and the Nuraxi. We stopped at a little cafe to have Italian coffee and enjoy some sweets too. You don't need to pack any lunch with you as they will stop at a restaurant after your visit the Nuraxi. The best tour I've ever had!!

The excursion was insightful, amazing world heritage site and a bit of the Sardinian countryside worth seeing. Renato is a very friendly and knowledgable guide. The pick-up place is in the central part of Cagliari and is easy to find, drop off was also seamless. It is also convenient that the tour does not require the booking at least for two persons, which is ideal for solo travellers.

Raffaela was a great guide, switching between Italian and English. She knew a lot about the history, provided visual aids and spoke competently about the National Park we visited too.
