This trekking on foot, with donkeys carrying your stuff, offers you in the middle of unspoiled nature, the most authentic Sardinia: forests of green oaks, thick Mediterranean vegetation, rivers and sources of pure water among the highest mountains from Sardinia. We meet wild boars, deer and the typical Sardinian fauna. With a little luck, we will see in the distance mouflons, horses and birds of prey. It will also be an opportunity to get in touch with shepherds and the inhabitants of these small villages. The Sardinian donkey is patient, indefatigable, it is the animal of the shepherds par excellence and perfectly adapted to our trekking for the transport of luggage. In general, we will have a donkey for two.

    Very Authentic Sardinien Cooking Class!
We had such a great evening with this beautiful Sardinien family. They welcomed us into their home and showed us how to make authentic Sardinien ravioli, pasta and bread. It was such a personal experience being in their family home and on their beautiful property. Everything we ate and drank came from their own produce! Was an amazing experience to be part of a typical Sardinien family for one night. We would highly recommend!!

    Very fun, a few issues
This class is a great idea and a fun experience. The family is lovely and the food delicious, with actually more to it than is in the description because we learned about and ate 2 different pastas and also bread, plus had charcuterie with home-cured meat, cheese and local potato/onion bread. We had red and white wine and grappa. The family did a bit of dancing for us at the end. So a really fun experience and much value for the cost. A local woman was there to help interpret. The (assertive) tour operator contacted me several times about the details and with other opportunities, including a bee keeping class, which we actually attended and found to be worthwhile. Unfortunately, our group of 10 was joined by 2 couples, who were pleasant, but the size of the group required a split into 2 groups, taking turns with the pasta shaping. The older of Frederica’s daughter was scolded because there wasn’t room for her customary participation and she spent the evening sulking in the yard. The tour operator blamed the group size on the hostess, who actually had nothing to do with the bookings.

Pasta making the authentic way and fun while you're at it!
We were warmly welcomed in the home and kitchen of Federica withher husband, 2 little daughters and extended family. They spoke no English and our Italian was pretty poor, but we got along famously with translate and had a blast with all of them! The setting is rural sardegna, near Lanusei. Beautiful landscape .Independent of us there were two other guests whom were equally fun to be with. They showed us how to make malloreddus and culurgiones and the wonderful evening was topped off with dinner at a long table in their garden, with all of us together consisting of the pastas and bread we all helped make along with olives from their own trees and their own olive oil as well as home cured prosciutto and nice wine! Extremely warm and kind family. We had a fantastic time with this great family! Definitely highly recommended!

Best experience you can get in Sardegna!
It was a wonderful, absolutely unique and authentic experience. The course was incredibly fun for us. We will definitely cook the pasta again. We were very well received and felt very comfortable among the master chefs and family. Thank you very much for everything!!!

A wonderful thing to do in Lanusei
This was a brilliant idea. Federica is a wonderful host and her family are very welcoming. You learn to make Sardinian gnocchi pies - culorgiones - in her home and she and her aunts teach you the tricks.

    Amazing cooking and dining experience
The cooking class was amazing! The guests were so warm and welcoming to us. Everyone was so lovely and helpful when making the Culurgiones. Would definitely recommend going to learn some tips on how to cook and to experience an Italian family dinner. 10/10!

Authentic evening spent with a lovely Sardinia family.
An authentic evening spent leaning how to make sardinia pasta and bread. The family welcomed us all and it was a very enjoyable evening. The food was all local and home made, we were made to feel very much welcome. I would definitely recommend if you're looking to see more of the real sardinia, thank you all so much!

Super time spent in real Sardegna!
We had a lovely time, learned how to make the pasta from the sweet and patient ladies. The food, including the antipasti, the nicely shaped bread, dessert was great. The family gave us a very warm welcome.

    Disappointing
We arrived at the time and place listed in the booking and no one was there. The winery, which is shown and mentioned in other reviews, doesn't open until 10 which is after the meeting time. The winery owner told us there had not been donkeys there since January and had no idea about any tours. I did not receive any additional instructions just the initial booking email. When I tried to call the tour company, they did not answer or the number did not work, not sure since it responds differently then an American phone would. I'm not sure if the tour company is closed or they need to update the listing to solve the issue. We were really disappointed since we were looking forward to this and the other reviews were good. I was refunded but we still had a wasted day on our trip.

    Delussu!
Best winery tour ever! Wonderful people! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with everyone we met at the winery. We felt so welcome and relaxed in their company. Delicious wine! Stubborn but happy donkeys (as one would expect). One of my happiest memories of Sardinia.

    The road less travelled
Exceptional tour with Jean Luc Exposing Sardinia’s hidden internal gems. All tourists are fully aware of this wonderful isalands’ coastal beauty, but few get to experience “ Village Life”. Jean Luc introduces his group to vintners and their wonderful wine. You are also shown “ environmental farmers” working in unison with this harsh land to produce amazing organic delights. See Olive Oil production and taste the Sardinian delights. Highly recommend this tour for those wishing a “ true cultural experience “. Jean Luc’s smile and pride in his “ second home” is truely infectious.
