This was my first experience of a cooking class. I can say that it was amazing! The cooking class itself was 3 hours, but all of the students were able to sit and enjoy the dinner for a couple hours after the course. It was a great experience. Even my husband, that is not so social blended into the evening and enjoyed the company of others. It was a great opportunity to not only learn how to make pasta, but to make some acquaintances, that will hopefully become close friends in the future. Since I booked this trip to be able to learn about Italian food, I hoped to be able to enjoy the meal with the host afterwards. I understand though that it may be very repetitive for the host to sit and eat the same meal with the participants though, as I am sure this class is given multiple times per week. I guess I just wanted to actually learn about the family and more about Italy in general. I was however, able to get to know 3 other couples that were very interesting individuals, with some of whom we hope to keep in touch with. I would recommend this to everyone who is looking for something fun and new to do! The appetizers and wine were wonderful! The setting of the dinner table was very beautiful and well prepared as well! I love that we weren't at all hurried to finish our meals or leave after we finished, but were able to continue enjoying the company of the other participants for a total of 2 hours after the cooking class ended. Thank you so much for this great opportunity!

If I could give this experience a higher rating I would. Irene has been great at communicating throughout the whole booking and even kinder and most hospitable during our class. She has welcomed us into her home and shared with us the best of Sardinian food and taught us how to make it at home. There was also an option to be taken to and from our hotel to get the the class. It is a truly family business and Irene’s son shared with us even more cooking tips and local restaurant recommendations.
This experience was worth all the money and if you want to meet alike travellers who you can socialise with - this is perfetto!

Grazie mille Irene!

Must do if you in Sardinia!! This is such a unique experience, we will never forget. Definitely our highlight of our holiday. We had so much fun and the food was so good! The cookclass is at a beautiful cosy farmhouse. The woman who lives there with her family is so sweet and teach us very well how to make different kind of pastas. After that she made lunch/dinner for us with her family. And it was AMAZING. So delicious. In our opinion the best lunch/dinner we have tasted in Sardinia. Thank you Irene!

This is not a cookery course and is not as advertised. This is a 90 min pasta making course without learning how to cook the pasta or the sauces. Very very disappointing experience.
Furthermore there is no selection of wines, rather carafes of white wine which were not very palatable. We asked for red wine half way through the meal and that was also of poor quality.
We were very much looking forward to the evening and what we assumed would be a class in the art of “cooking” . The host showed us how to make the dough, roll the dough into tagliatelle, gnocchi and we made ravioli but that was the extent of the “cooking”! We were then brought to our table where we were served the finished dish complete with sauces. We were not shown how to cook the pasta, nor make the sauces therefore as mentioned it is an hour of pasta making and then eating this pasta . €99 for 2 bowls of pasta, a starter, dessert and coffee seems quite exorbitant. Not value for money , which we could accept, had we learned how to cook the dishes. On our last night in Alghero, we were very much looking forward to ending our fantastic trip on a high note, but sadly this most certainly was the lowest point of our holiday.
The cooking itself was delicious , however we went there to learn how to cook like the Sardinians and not to be served already cooked food . We might as well watched a YouTube video on how to make pasta before we had a pasta dinner in the old town. Please take this review as constructive criticism - the location is beautiful and the food was delicious but as stated ‘not as advertised’.

Thanks for your grim effort to downgrade our experience. If you would have learned reading at school you would have discovered that the descriprtion and inclusions advertised on Viator is exactly what you had. Regarding the overpriced, you should know that Viator charge us 25% of the price you paid and you had a personal private chef at disposal for 3 hours. Yes i agree with you next time, better if you stay home watching how to do filled tortelloni on you tube.. Not sure what the result would be tough.... Have a nice journey back home

I had to leave this review as our experience was not like what we had read on here.
It wasn’t a cooking class it was a pasta making class. We didn’t get a section of wines . We weren’t greeted with wine or coffee or offered coffee at all . The hosts didn’t tell us anything about the farm or the produce there . We had a chessboard followed by roast aubergine then the linguine we made then the ravioli we also made . None of the family sat with us .One glass of wine each and no dessert as we read in other reviews. It wasn’t a very warm family motherly experience like a lot of reviews also had mentioned. I felt it was It was very conveyor belt style class. We didn’t get to see the pasta been cooked or any type of cooking itself. Also got none of the recipes like started in the description and reviews.

The group we meet there although made the experience better. If this activity was cheaper and the description was right it would of been perfect.

I am sorry we did not meet your expectation. We will work harder to have the experience in line with what described and offered. The wine however is always included as the dessert so i am sorry but you wrote something that is not true.

This was a truly excellent evening. I've never cooked anything in my life so making homemade pasta was a totally new experience for me, and I had lots of fun doing so! I will still say that I enjoyed eating the pasta more than making it. My wife and I are from New York and we had an awesome time getting to know the other guests from around Europe (while we all drank lots of Irene's homemade wine).

This was a wonderful experience. The hosts were very sweet and informative. We learned how to make several different type of traditional Sardinian pasta, and then enjoyed a lovely full dinner with our classmates in the hosts yard. This is the exact thing that I like to look for when traveling, to have an intimate experience in a locals home.
I have to say that some of the nasty reviews are pretty ridiculous! this is not listed as some sort of master culinary type course, and while we didn't exactly take part in the full on cooking of the sauces and meal completion, it wasn't exactly advertised as such- you learn how to make the pasta, and whether you have made pasta before or not, it is very helpful to learn the techniques as well as what is typical of a certain place.
The company, our fellow travelers and pasta makers were also quite wonderful as they were from various countries as well.

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had, Family bonding time and a very special evening, learning to make all different types of pasta snd then sitting in a beautiful setting while being served a delicious meal and wine. The pasta making itself was fun and informative. Irene is patient, kind and knowledgeable. Create special memories ❤️ Loved every minute.

It was a very special event. We learned so much about pasta from the host Irene. We enjoyed making pasta and after that we had a great dinner at the beautiful garden. We can recommend this pasta event too 100%. We also enjoyed the good wine from Sardegna.

With our children, aged 12 and 9, we spent and evening with the lovely Irene and her so. We learnt how to make tagliatelle, ravioli, macaroni, gnochetti and angel hair pasta. Irene was a patient teacher and we very much enjoyed eating our hard work afterwards with so lovely wine. I think we may have found a future pasta chef in our son!
