Even for the most casual fan of music, La Scala delivers a mini time capsule of a time in history. The museum has many historical artifacts that illuminates a period of great social change in the city. Note: Use a guided tour that will purchase tickets in advance, saving you time. Most importantly a guide will provide the needed context for the exhibits making your visit more memorable.

The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I was so happy to see inside La Scala and then to have a guide for the museum made it so worthwhile. He kept us all riveted to what next funny story he had next. He also saw that a girl in our group was going to faint and acted quickly to prevent this and to help her.

The BEST ITALY tour ever of the Vatican museum was with Liv tours- Massimo!!!!! Massimo was absolutely incredible!! He has such profound knowledge of the history of all the art, and gives very fascinating insights into each statue, mosaic and painting! And the lives of all the great artists…. He showed us amazing details, shared insight we never would’ve known. This was, undoubtedly the best tour I ever taken in my life, and I’ve taken many!! Venice, Italy what another wonderful city to explore. 3 or 4 days or a week would be good. Seeing Venice at night time from a vaporetto is one of the best things to do. Take a patience pill because there are lots and lots people. People lined up for most sites, people lined up for the ACTV, people lined up for restaurants. People towing luggage to and from hotels (etc.) If there is something that you want to see, then you have 2 choices. Stand in line and wait or pay extra and buy A Head of The Line. When you buy a head of the line tickets you get the date, and time frame that works for you. You should consider buying these tickets some times months in advance. If you are not a day tripper and are staying at a hotel in Venice. How are arriving in Venice,? Where is your hotel located? Can you easily carry or tow your luggage to and from your hotel? Do you have an ACTV Pass (water bus)? You can purchase this in advance 24, 36 or 72 hour pass. Just DO NOT FORGET each and EVERY time you get onto the ACTV you MUST scan the pass. Learn how to read the ACTV schedule . You can do a complete circuit of Venice and make runs back and forth to various islands so lets go exploring. It seems at night time they roll up the sidewalks (canals) because this is one of the best times to take a ride on the ACTV. There is no one around. We went to a wonderful opera (ll Barbiere di Siviglia) that was over at 10:30 pm . Took the ACTV back to the hotel (Hotel Olimpia) no one on the water bus just us...... wonderful !!!
