          Leaves much to be desired
We booked this tour on a Saturday via Viator, we were 4 people in all - 2 Americans and ourselves who knew both English and Italian. Vito met us at 9.30am sharp in front of the San Nicola statue and off we went (I'm only going into these logistical details because he has this irritating habit of denying negative reviews whenever it doesn't suit him - wanna bet he'll do it on this review as well?). So far so good, trip was ok and comfortable but unfortunately from then on it went downhill. Since the booking included "tour guide services" I expected a bit more information about the three cities we visited not just a chaffeur service, but information was VERY sparse, using very poor English (poor pronunciation, poor grammar). At times he repeated the same (questionable) things, just to fill time and to give us the false impression that he's giving out a lot of information. Whenever we asked a question his replies were very telegraphic - good thing I know Italian as it was the only way to prompt him to beef up the info. Another item which featured in the booking was "Opt to stop for a traditional Puglian lunch (own expense)" - this was simply impossible - he seemed so concerned about rushing us that we barely had time to do the tastings ("tastings" sounds like a big word, but it was just some bread dipped in local olive oil in Ostuni and some wines and liquors in Alberobello, that's it), let alone having lunch. He made absolutely sure we wouldn't go beyond the allotted time, seemed unmotivated and gave me the impression that he'd rather be somewhere else, all throughout. At the end of the tour, he drove like a mad man back to Bari, overtaking cars (and almost feeling proud about his "Italian" driving), telling us stories and anecdotes about his life and kept harping till kingdom come how the "Italian" and the "Mediterranean" way of life is better than anywhere in the world (like, give me a break...).

Thank you Vito for the wonderful experience!
The trip was a culmination due to the dedicated guide Vito. Interpreting history facts in the cultural and geopolitical context of the time made the trip exceptional. The marvelous Baroc architecture impressed us with the help of Vito. Highly recommended experience!

Most knowledgeable and fun tour guide
Vito was very welcoming. Apart from visiting Polignano a Mare and Monopoli we also visited Ostuni. Vito made our tour very enjoyable above all with his incredible anthropological knowledge topped with his sense of humour and his musical repertoire. Highly recommend. Grazie Mille Vito :)

          VITO IS THE BEST!!!
VITO IS THE BEST TOUR GUIDE EVER!!!!!! My family was visiting from California and had the most amazing time. There was another person on our tour and Vito helped us all become instant friends!!!! We spent the whole day singing and laughing. He let us stop for plenty of drinks and shopping. As a native he is incredibly well versed in the areas and knows so much about history all over the world. THANK YOU VITO!

          Very Good Tour
Very good tour. We were a group of 4 and it was kind of a private tour. The 3 places we visited were beautiful. We had enough time to browse stores and buy things. The lunch stop was very good. Alberobello was amazing! The only reason I am not giving a "5 Star Rating" is because the driver, also the Tour Guide, was quite aggressive driving and one person in our group was uncomfortable. Otherwise, I do recommend the tour.

          Volare Vito
We spent two wonderful days touring with Vito. We visited Alberobello and Lecce with him. We were a group of 4 each day. He was fantastic not only in telling us all about the history of each place but he knew so many people. We had a fantastic lunch in Alberobello and enjoyed the most delicious gelato in Lecce. We were in Puglia for my daughter's wedding and Vito's tours were the perfect add on for something to do for those who didn't have cars. And he even sings! I would book him again in a second.

          Ostuni & Alberobello day tour
We booked a day tour to Ostuni & Alberobello with Vito. Vito was very accomodating and on time for our pick up from Puglia. He had a great sense of humour and shared some interesting information throughout the day. It was a pleasure to be guided around by Vito.

Not exactly the tour we expected
Ostuni, Martina Franca, and especially Alberobello are well worth seeing and it is a relaxing way to do so via a private guide so you don’t have the hassle of driving and parking. Vito arrived on time at the arranged pick up point in Bari and had a comfortable car and was a safe & calm driver. We enjoyed especially that he took the minor road so we enjoyed the local vineyard view rather than the highway. Vito’s English is very good and he is very experienced and a nice guy but we had the sense that he was a bit jaded and keen for the day to be over. Some of his “facts” sounded dubious and when we checked online we found them to be inaccurate. Strangely for a tour listed as 7 hours length, neither a lunch stop nor even a toilet break were factored in to the day even though the tour notes say lunch at your own expense, Vito seemed a bit put out when we initiated a stop). There were a number of listed inclusions on the itinerary that didn’t happen. Overall for the high price, we felt a bit ripped off but still enjoyed the day.

I still remember my experience in Puglia as the "4 days trip" better spent in my whole life. I'm italian but it was the first time for me in Puglia. Vito is a charming and expert guide, he helped me to discover his region in a magic tour made of ancient history, fine arts, overwhelming music, intense scents and tasty organic food. Puglia now is for me more than an Italia region, is a "must have" place.

I made a trip to Alberobello and Matera with some American friends of mine a pair of days ago with Vito guide. I wanted to show to them the marvellous region of Puglia and I did it, my friends got astonished on Alberobello and Matera. Vito was very friendly and professional and we appreciated the tour. Well done.

This is a little town of Puglian fairytale.
Neatled in the Itria Valley is the capital of Trulli.
Start by heading to the Rione Monte ,where the Church of Sant Antonio stands proudly at the top shaped like a trullo,of course. From the Aia Piccola discrict admire some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the city.
It is under UNESCO protection from 1996 due to its trulli houses ,some of them are quite luxury.

Matera ,you will never find a similar city.

Also known as the Underground city and is famous for its historic center called Sassi wish has been a UNESCO world Heritage Site since 1993.
        Must see .
Enjoy the gold history of Puglia Italy.

For me it was a private tour since there were no other travellers who booked on that day. Vito is a very knowledgeable guide and the two spots chosen for the tour are definitely worth visiting. They are very authentic and deferent from each other. I enjoyed my trip!

This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever gone. We were lucky enough to be there during a summer festival. The white Trullis were sparkling with strings of yellow light. The people are warm and welcoming. The food amazing. The streets are full of shops with local item vs the tourist trap magnets. There are some of those, but overall so great. The thing that really stays with me is watching the look on my partner face as he 1st saw the town. He was just taking it all in. Look of pure wonder. Go.

A day trip from Bari. Picked up at accommodation on time. During the drive a thorough explanation of the history of the area and what we were about experience which we found fascinating. Matera was as amazing as its history. A quick bite to eat before heading to Alberobello. A wander through the town and a visit inside one of the Trulli. Vito was a wealth of knowledge, a great conversationalist and a good driver. Well worth taking this tour when you can’t fathom transport or short on time.

Vito was really friendly and knew lots about the places we visited. I was very lucky as it was just 2 of us on the tour so felt very personal. Was picked up at Monopoli train station and then Vito dropped me back very close to where I was staying in the centre of Monopoli. Lots of driving and not much time for lunch so would recommend you get snacks along the way at each place! Vito makes a great recommendation for gelato in Alberobello :) great tour for solo travellers!

Our trip to Puglia was guided by my wish to experience the TGrullis of Albewrobello and i was in no way dissapointed. The ahve managed to strike a delicate balance between sharing with visitors and retaining the cultural heritage. We toured the region by car and spent a couple of hours in Alberobello Trulli district, strolling around and lunching.
