Thanks to the friendly staff especially Teresa, who led our tour, we had an interesting and varied day. Theresa had one or two surprises for us on the tour and had also taken us into the local life of the people in Bari.
Making pasta afterwards was a particular highlight. I would like to note, however, that our group of six was very small as we were in Bari at the end of October.
But anyway I can highly recommend the activity!

Hi friederik, what a wonderful review! We are so happy you really enjoyed our bike tour with pasta making experience and we're pleased you had the opportunity to appreciate every single aspect of our wonderful old town. Velo Service mission is to show how tourism can be deeper and more impressive if it's linked with direct experiences and customized tours. That's what you tried, and what we consider the best way to show our Apulia. Our food, mixed with a pinch of history, achitecture and a spoon of our folklore, make up the perfect recipe to make Bari get in your heart and stay there for a long while. We really thank you for your extraordinary feedback and for expressly rewarding the excellent work of our guide Teresa. We hope that many customers want to follow your advice. Hope to see you again soon, have a nice day!

My wife and I had a fantastic tour with the lovely Anna in Bari. We were collected by rickshaw from the meeting place and taken to the main start point. From here we had a tour round some of the main sites in Bari and to our pasta making location, which was in a wonderful secluded part of the old town and at a very local and traditional restaurant. We made pasta and had the chance to sample it. We loved our tour and how friendly everyone was involved in the trip. We would highly recommend.

I enjoyed discovering a little history and authentic Bari. Little surprise of tarantella experience just added to the fun. Adriano was a great guide and even made arrangements for me to have rickshaw as I was very rusty on a bike. I can thoroughly re on end this tour.

What a fantastic way to see the sights of the city and learn about the history/culture of Bari!!! Our tour guide Manu was the cherry on top with his knowledge and charisma! Took us to the very best places and sampled local delicious foods! Very impressed with him. Couldn't have hoped for a better experience!!!

I definitely enjoyed this tour with one exception, which I will get to. Firstly, the itinerary is little different in actuality than what is written on the site, but not a big deal. We had a nice bike ride around the town. The guide was very knowledgeable and told interesting stories about the different sites like the cathedral and the castle, etc. I didn't feel rushed or bored. I feel like he spent the right amount of time on each topic and he kept it interesting and moving along. When it came time to go inside the different church's etc, he let us go on our own and take as much time as we wanted. We did a morning departure so next up was lunch and pasta making "class". Not really a detailed class, but more of a "watch, then try" which was fine. The local ladies make a unique, ear-shaped pasta called orecchietti. It is a very simple pasta with just two ingredients (Our host made the dough). The challenge comes with attempting to make the little ear-shaped pastas using the local technique. I didn't manage it but my wife managed to squeak out a couple. No matter, our host was so fast we had plenty of pasta to eat in about 10 minutes. The meal was simple but nice. For me, this part of the tour was the highlight. I enjoyed eating the fresh pasta and sauce with a little wine for lunch. Next up, was more bike tour and here is where my one little complaint comes. Our guide took us into the old town to meet some of the local ladies that make and sell orecchiette. This part of the tour ended up being one of those awkward sales pitches, that just didn't seem to end. Our host would introduce us to one of the little old ladies, tell us about how great the orecchietti was and how long it would last in the fridge or freezer and how little it cost. We tried to be polite and simply express how nice that idea was, but then our guide just stood there. We just stood there. The little old ladies just stood there. We all just stood there. We smiled at the little old ladies, they smiled at us, then we would all look at the tables of orecchietti. When the guide finally asked if we were going to buy some, we said "No thanks, and explained that we would be continuing our RTW trip and wouldn't have a place for lugging along pasta. So, then he took us a few doors down the street where we were introduced to another little old lady and the process repeated. This happened about three times total before we finally exited that portion of the tour. There were a few more stops checking out the sites and I really enjoyed that but, that little, awkward "Hard Sell" was a bit off-putting. In the end, If I had it to do over, I would definitely still do the tour, but I would be a bit more direct when it came to the Sales pitch and maybe get through it a bit sooner.

We were on the bike tour with pasta making, as part of a larger week long tour, so had no idea what to expect as it was part of a package, but it was one of our favourite experiences of our week in Puglia, lots of little surprises! Don’t want to give anything away, but book the tour you won’t be disappointed
