A wonderful experience, one we will never forget ❤️🇮🇹
We visited as a couple for the wine tasting and vineyard tour, with others doing the truffle hunt. Rachele, our guide, was excellent; very knowledgeable, accommodating and her descriptions, in English, were fantastic. After a tour, we were treated to 4 of the wines produced, with bread and oil, cheeses, olives (the veggie alternative to the salami), the most wonderful sweet but spicy cherry chutney, and some almond cake. The views were spectacular and the experience one we will never forget, well worth the money. The organiser will put on a transfer from the bus stop at Piazza Cadorna, but be aware that the cost for this is 100E, split between however many take up the offer, so in our case we shared with a lovely German couple and paid 50E each couple. - tip: bring bug bite cream or spray ahead of time.

      Perfect
It was perfect. You can go to Italy just for this experience! The wine was amazing and so was the view and every one working there.

      A storybook perfect day!
This tour was a dream experience! The small family-owned boutique winery is out of a story-book. We rode e-bikes (which we hadn’t done before - so fun!) while the winemaker himself shared stories of the vines and villages. It was peaceful and the perfect pace. We then shared a delicious lunch of homemade pasta with truffles while tasting their superb Valpolicella wines. The views were incredible and the whole day was perfect. I highly recommend this experience!

The best wine tasting tour you could ask for!
I had the best wine tasting experience I have ever had. The wine tour was amazing and wonderful with Olympia being very deep in her knowledge and history behind the Valpolicella winery. The wine tasting was delicious and to know that this winery only makes 15,000 bottles a year just shows how much time and care they put into making their wine taste so good. The views are stunning and I can’t help but recommend Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde wine tour/tasting enough! I will definitely be back :)

E bike tour with wine tasting.
Very good experience with family of four on e-bikes for the first time. Guided tour adapted to level of experience. Lovely views with delicious mail afterwards in the garden accompanying the wines tasting. I would recommend this to my friends.

So much more than we expected!
Our guide and winemaker Nicola took us in what we thought would be an e-bike ride through his vineyards, but which turned out to be so much more! We learned about the strategic importance of the Valpolicella region from pre-Roman times up to today. He showed us Roman ruins found in a vineyard. He shared the techniques of how he makes his wines, and at the end of the bike tour we enjoyed a delicious lunch tasting his amazing wines in a delightful garden back at the homestead Nicola's family has lived in for 7 generations. The service and ambiance were fantastic! We thought this tour would be fun, but it far exceeded our expectations!

      Beautiful vineyard, welcoming employees
We loved our visit! Welcoming employees, beautiful magical surroundings and the wine tasting (and food) was amazing. We enjoyed the history of the place as well as Albertino (cute little 🐕 ) who followed us everywhere! We highly recommend!

A must do viewing and tasting experience
What a lovely experience! Beautiful views, great wine and the winemaker was full of historical information about the winery and wine making in Northern Italy.

Truffle hunting was just OK, wine tasting was good
As experienced “truffle hunters” in Italy (we also did it in Tuscany 2-3 years ago), the truffle hunting part of the tour was just OK. More of a hike than anything, but only found 4-5 very small truffles, maybe the size of a marble. Compared to 2 years ago in Tuscany, we found 15-20 in half the time, all very good size, like an average strawberry. Then, when they served us food, it was good, but there was hardly any truffle on it at all, maybe just oil, not 1 slice that you usually find. Again, compared to Tuscany, the guy shaved 5-10 slices on each dish. In Tuscany, he probably used 3-4 full truffles for only 4 of us. Here, I don’t think they used even 1, just oil with some truffle specs. The wine was very good. The people were super nice, although a little slow with the tasting. I would recommend doing the tasting only and save truffle for Tuscany or elsewhere. On their website, they show shaving the truffles on the food, but they did not do that.

      Unforgettable E-Bike Tour
This tour was amazing. Nicola was very enthusiastic and an outstanding host. We loved learning about his family’s rooted history in wine making and culture. The views of the valley during the tour were unbelievable and I recommend this to anyone wanting a full Italian wine country experience.

      Outstanding Tour and Wines
An excellent tour of the vineyard, production process and a lovely tasting. We love our wine and regularly do tours like this. So amazing to visit a winery with buildings dating back to the 1400s and to learn of their bio dynamic processes. A must to do when in the region.

      Brilliant experience. 🍷
Brilliant experience, lovely family owned vineyard. We arrived via an organised mini bus with other guests, which was an additional cost but worth it rather than getting buses from Verona. Very knowledgeable, informative and relaxed tour, with far reaching views of their vines. Tasted four wines, together with fresh bread, local cheeses, salami and cherry chutney. Almond biscuits served with the final wine. A really lovely experience, highly recommend. 🍷 (I took my own gluten free bread)

Fantastic tour of winery in beautiful location
We had such a wonderful afternoon here. The situation of the vineyard is up in the hills so the views are amazing. We learned about the history of this family vineyard, how the grapes are grown and .processed. Then we settled down in the courtyard overlooking the hills and tasted 3 types of wine. The glasses were very generous and bread, cheese and hams were provided. Everyone was very friendly . We would thoroughly recommend this trip - one of the highlights of our holiday in Verona.

Directly from the bus pick-up, the ‘tour’ started. He told me all about the region and its history while driving to the vineyard. The atmosphere was very welcoming and it really showed that everyone at the vineyard is passionate. The history of the area but most of all the company itself was fascinating. The tasting was great and the wines were amazing. Even though it was rainy and cloudy, the views were breathtaking. I really recommend to go!

When arriving at the Tenuta we felt like in a movie: perfectly maintained 16th century house at an absolutely amazing location, overlooking the hills and the valley.
The activity was beautifully arranged to the smallest detail: plates, cutlery, cheese board, seating with a view.
Beatrice is a kind host, who walked us through olive tree grove and vineyard.
Tasting different varieties of olive oils is enriching. We learned and enjoyed a lot.

After arranging bus transportation for us from Verona, our DOP Olive Oil visit was amazing. We received individualized attention from our hosts, explaining the history of the place and why it was special. The olive oil tasting was paired with 3 glasses of Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde‘s wines and a cheese and meat platter. We got to share our visit with another wonderful couple that we met during our time there. All in all, it was a highlight of our wonderful stay in Italy.

We were not sure what to expect. The trip to the farm was an adventure on the winding roads up the mountain. Our guide gave us a tour of the farm and a chance to see the beautiful scenery from the top of the mountain. The tasting was nice but could have been more informative. The olive oil was delicious. We were surprised to also get a wine tasting thrown is since another couple had just finished their wine tasting.

A wonderful stroll through the nearby wineyard and olive trees. We had a "private" tour, as noone else had booked that day.
Tasting of olive oils from north to south of Italy, including their own olive oil.
We opt'ed for the olive oil tasting since we were driving and brought our 2-year-old daughter along.
    Small luncheon provided with wine.

We really enjoyed this tour as we saw an old olive tree and a grove of new ones. Even got to taste an olive right off the tree. We also saw how they processed the olives and storied the oil along with being educated on producing olive oil. Then we sat down and sampled 4 different olive oils from around Italy. You can definitely taste the difference. We also tasted 3 different wines from this winery. Our guide was great in educating us about the region too. Everyone at Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde were so nice to us and all theirs clients.

A thoroughly enjoyable and informative experience. We were greeted by two gracious and friendly hosts. The tour around their grounds was incredibly informative and eye-opening, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The tasting of the different olive oils was a brilliant experience in itself, and the knowledge we were given on the tour really helped for the tasting. We were able to sample olive oils from around Italy, local cheeses, meats, chutneys and their lovely wine. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend!

We booked this Olive Oil tour with our friends and family, because we read the amazing reviews about how families got to learn about the process of making olive oil. We thought the 3 kids in our party (ages 7, 10 and 12) would love this experience. But sadly, what we got was some kind of combination tour -- most of the people on our tour were there for a vineyard tour and wine tasting... and that is what they dedicated 95% of the tour to -- with a couple of minutes thrown in to talk about how olives are grown. We never even heard about how the olive oil is made, didn't get to see ANY of the process, and when we asked, we were brushed off. We did get an olive oil tasting at the end but it felt rushed and the person leading it left to deal with the wine tastings so that we had to do the tasting by ourselves. Honestly, it felt like the tour operator was overwhelmed and had too many things going on. She seems nice, and was knowledgable about wine, but that is not the tour we wanted or paid for. The adults already knew plenty about wine and the kids were bored out of their minds. I texted her at the end of our tour to let her know we were disappointed by our experience and never heard back. Sadly I can't recommend this tour. Perhaps they had an off day or the person who normally does the Olive Oil part wasn't there, but I feel like they could have been honest about what was going on.

We are very sorry for what happened: on the day of her reservation, our oil guide was ill and could not hold the visit. Therefore, your visit was grouped with the wine group and we tried to give our best by providing wine and oil. I hope you will come back to visit us soon, best regards The staff of Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde
