Great way to see Venice. Friendly chatty oarsman with plenty of knowledge. So much better than sharing with people you don't know

We were lucky, we didn’t book a private gondola ride but ended up being on our own. The gondolier pointed out places of interest and the gondola was lovely. Really enjoyed our ride through the narrow canals, under bridges, including going under the bridge of sighs. We paid €100 which we queried because others had said €80 but we were told the cost also took into account which canals you ride on.

We paid more for the night ride, but the latest was 8 and it was not dark at all by that time. I would suggest just finding a gondolier that you like when you are there and just buying then.

A must do experience in Venice. We had a private gondola but you can also share with others. We went at 7pm which I would recommend as it started to cool down from the hot day. It was relaxing and I wish was a little bit longer. The gondola guide was lovely, telling us some interesting facts along the way and posing in our photos. A lovely memory!

This was horrible.Our gondolier talked to everyone but us.No info or any thing interesting.There is a ton of them looking for work .Better to go there and find someone with a personality.

Don't book.. not here and not with GETYOURGUIDE Don't book this, it's a scam. I was stupid to book, should have searched online first, the official price is 80€ for a boat. Beside that it's not 30 minutes, it was only 20 and the gondeleer didn't even say a word. No singing, no explination. Really feel ripped off.

Booked this via Marriott Activities and now realize just how egregiously overpriced it really was. As others have noted, you can find multiple similar gondola rides for a 1/3 of the price anywhere near the water. The bottle of Prosecco they bring you is $8 at the store and isn’t even cold. Also, our “ride” lasted 15 minutes instead of the advertised 30. I’m sure the latter depends on company and gondola operator but, at this price point, it’s completely unacceptable. Go by a couple nice bottles of cava or champagne and take a cheaper ride elsewhere.

Great experience on mine and my husband's 20th anniversary. We paid for the gondola to be just us. We brought drinks aboard to celebrate. Magical time.

It was great and the tour guide was very friendly. He was very understanding of hurrying us to a bathroom towards the end when my weak American stomach failed me.

Venice has some very beautiful parts and is definitely a bucket list item. the gondola tour also a bucket list thing but generally don't expect the movie experience. it felt like the romance had been swapped out to the transactional.

We took the Gondola and Prosecco tour the next morning after arriving the night before. In my opinion this is the best way to start a visit to Venice, Italy. Great wine, amazing views and iconic gondola. What else is there?

We knew this was expensive but at 200€ it was ridiculous. Our 30 minute trip around the block did include a bottle of Prosecco on the boat but since then we found other gondola trips advertised for 80€. No prosecco but for 120€ we could have bought a couple of bottles of Champagne.

An experience you have to do but there isn't really any need to pre-book as there are so many and they are always available. Our guide was friendly and gave us snippets of information on several landmarks. We entered the grand canale and saw Rialto Bridge to our right but only for several seconds before we headed away and then back down the narrow waters. Overall its an expensive experience but one I would say is just about worth it.

Despite the seemingly hectic and disorganized gondola "station" we were on time and on our way enjoying the canals with a bottle of cold prosecco.

We went for this provider as lots of others had more negative feedback. Unfortunately, our experience only confirmed what only a few others had said about this one. The gondola ride only lasted about 20 minutes, even though it was supposed to take 30 mins (one third less!). Those 20 minutes were lovely and we really enjoyed the experience, but it just leaves a niggling after-taste if you feel taken advantage of. We knew the whole experience is very poor value for money and just one of those things you have to accept. But negotiating the price with the gondolieri on the day might have been better (we didn't want to run the risk of having to wait or not getting a ride and hence pre-booked here).
