About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- tonikiaaa0 contributionsColosseum was worth it, but...I initially bought a different ticket but a few weeks prior, the tickets I originally bought were unavailable. Although going inside the colosseum was impressive, I am very disappointed we could not go around it and see it all. We could have queued without a pre-paid ticket, but I bought skip the line because my mother struggled to stand for long periods of time since cancer. The colosseum is absolutely worth a visit, but book directly through the site instead.Written June 26, 2024
- BCKTravelers0 contributionsGreat Experience. We really enjoyed this experience - allowed us into separate areas and was so easy. Before we left the States, we communicated with the vendor and their rep Maria- so responsive and patient with us. She had to deal with new rules at the Colosseum which no longer allowed audio tours. Yet she handled all of the changes well and we had a great experience. Also, visiting the three locations was a plus.Written May 24, 2024
- 648katherynt0 contributionsFantastic experienceVisiting the colosseum was incredible and must see when visiting Rome. Viator made the day easy with the prebooked tickets, and communication leading up to the day to make sure we had everything we need for tickets and entry maps. The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill were also fantastic. Lots of steps and some steep walking areas, but beautiful views and ruins to seeWritten May 13, 2024
- martim4240 contributionsQuick access only. No additional guidance like a map or pamphlet. It was quick access to get into the Colosseum, and then the navigating of the Colosseum was confusing. Maybe they could have given a map and one or two line explanation of things.Written May 10, 2024
- Inspire326133842880 contributionsWonderful ColosseumGreat experience despite the busy crowds on a Sunday. Make sure you have identification when you get there for 3x ticket confirmations.Written May 5, 2024
- jakkritd20240 contributionsExcellent trip and worth visiting the Collosseum.Even though the queue was long with many visitors and group tours, the process to get the ticket is a little complicated with security checks before entry. I visited during the first group in the morning and had a good time at the Colosseum, taking many pictures.Written April 25, 2024
- Hilton S0 contributionsEasy entrance to the ColosseumTickets arrived in inbox with very detailed instructions. No problems were encountered, and we easily/quickly entered the Colosseum.Written April 25, 2024
- 12arifan0 contributionsBad ExperienceThis is not a good service, the tickets were booked for the wrong date even though we had picked a different date and there was no way links or contact available to change these dates. It seems like a scamWritten April 13, 2024
- Voyager7131330 contributionsSurprisingly bad! It's definitely worth seeing the Roman forum and Palatine Hill! However, the "tour operator" was the worst I've ever experienced. I booked three tickets over a month in advance and got the confirmation right away. A few days before the tour I got a message saying that my reservation had to be changed, and to please contact them. I did. They said it was because it's a very busy season, spring break.I actually accepted a change in our date, but then they contacted me again. Long story short, I had many calls, texts, and emails with them. I gave them my confirmation and booking numbers and told them they should tell people who booked AFTER I did that it's a busy time and they can't have my reservation. Furthermore, it's hard to call or take phone calls while I'm taking other tours and doing other activities! My experience was so disappointing and frustrating at the time. In the end we did get to go, so that was goodWritten April 1, 2024
- Cosmopolitan2255330 contributionsInside vs OutsideWe ended up not going inside. We had the skip the line entrance tickets, but it was hard to find out where to go because the line to get in was massive. We ended up walking around the area and taking some nice pics. It was good enough for us. Unless you are really interested about seeing the inside, I would recommend just touring from outside unless you go when there is less traffic.Written March 31, 2024
- AngieFrizzie0 contributionsRequired Phone CallsI did not receive tickets by email 48-72 hours prior as expected in previous emails. I called multiple times to get the tickets. The person I spoke to was very helpful - to a point. She called me back and made sure I had what I needed - but it was only minutes before entry time.Written March 28, 2024
- 619andreat0 contributionsHeadset not worth it.Once you get inside the colosseum you have to wait in another line to get the headsets. Skip it!! They aren’t worth it. The virtual guide is hard to follow and is antiquated.Written March 25, 2024
- Gavin M0 contributionsGood experience a little busy but expected at 1:30pmExcellent experience walked around at our own pace. Perfect for what we wanted to do. Possibly better to go AM tour as very busy. Booked for 1:30pmWritten March 21, 2024
- markcC8879RI0 contributionsJoke of a company cancelled on the day round my trip to ColosseumJoke. Will never use Booking.com again round, wrecked my day in Rome because the seller cancelled on the day of the trip to Colosseum do not use Booking.com book direct. It’s so much better and cheaper. It’s a scam in Italy Rome book directWritten March 19, 2024
- V4841ZIkarens0 contributionsBook a guided tourThe customer service we had whilst booking the trip was excellent, I made an error when booking and this was sorted with no issues. I was sent my tickets via whatsapp and they were easy to download. As you can imagine the area is extremely busy, not only with tourists but with people trying to sell you anything from poncho's to selfie sticks. We got off the bus and had people waving stuff in front of our faces, very overwhelming and off putting. Even when you say no you are harassed and followed. Not sure if this was because it was two females travelling or if everyone experienced this treatment. We booked skip the line tickets. We were unsure where we had to go for this, nothing is sign posted. We stood in a queue as directed and hoped it was the right one. We were slightly early and by the time we got to the front of the queue we were told we couldn't gain entry until our time. Bit of a shambles and people were all over the place. Eventually our time slot was called and we could get in. I wish we'd booked a tour as once inside we were left to our own devices. We went in Feb and the place was very busy, lots of pushing and shoving from people who don't know how to behave in public. Our tickets included the Roman forum and Palantine hill, again we weren't sure where we were going, had to ask how to get into the forums, told the wrong way by staff and we ended up being sent to the exit instead of the entrance, we were then sent back to a completely different location. Again both very busy and we queued to get in. I'd recommend the Collosseum, Forum and Palantine as a must see whilst in Rome, but would recommend booking as a guided tour.Written February 24, 2024
