The hotel was perfectly located less than 200 meters from the San Basilio vaparetto stop and the the berth where we joined the ship. The hotel oozed charm with only 12/15 rooms and a beautiful garden in which an excellent breakfast was served by very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel perfectly suited out requirements. It's economical and efficient and takes you right to the transportation hub of the city where you can get a water taxi or the public transportation boats anywhere you want to go in Venice or if you need to take a train to another city, you arrive right at the Santa Lucia station.

We were not told what time we would be picked up. I had to phone and hang on for a long time before I could speak to someone. The person I spoke to insisted that we would be piked up from our hotel lobby, which I thought unlikely given the hotel's location and distance from the canal. When it was time to leave we had a telephone call from the boat driver to say we had to walk to the canal. The boat driver was fine and we had guessed what would happen but the communication from the people handling the booking was poor.

Thank you for your feedback. Hotels in Venice do not always have the option of swimming underneath the hotel itself. Sometimes the meeting place is the channel in front of the hotel or in the closest possible place. We apologize for the inconvenience.
