Enjoyed a relaxing meal and learned how to prepare same
Booked this class through TripAdvisor. All went flawless. Laura met us at the prearranged meeting location at the designated time. She showed us the area and we went to a local shop for the wine to use for the meal. A worth walk over to the area where she lives. Right below her apartment was a small farmers market. She explained the meal for the day and purchased the regulated fresh items. We then went to her apartment and prepared the meal. She was very organized and everything was in place. It was just my wife and I. We learned many things about the area and got the chance to lean how life is for a local. We have taken several cooking classes as we travel and strongly suggest the experience. We find that we lean so much about the area and many times meet many wonderful travelers.

Cooking and dinner with Laura in Venice
My husband, 19 year old daughter and I enjoyed hanging out with Laura, making Risotto and Tiramisu and eating a wonderful meal together! This experience gave us a chance to see another part of Venice and enjoy a home cooked meal. We are excited to try both recipes at home!

Fantastic way to see local life
Cooking class was amazing! It was so fun to see local market stands and learn about where the fresh ingredients came from. Laura did a great job explaining how to complete the different steps for tiramsu and risotto to make the process easy. The food (and wine) was wonderful at the end, and she even left us with a few suggestions for the rest of our trip!

      An afternoon of magic
Traveling alone one doesn’t expect much in the way of connection. My first time in Venice in November is an experience of cool temperatures and confusion. Confirming the location of the pick up was conducted via email. Laura went one step further. Offering to meet me outside of my hotel entrance. Walking together through Venice, highlighting interesting locations. We progressed our way to the vegetable boat, the wine shop, the sausage butcher and back to her apartment. Her class brought a flavor of connection and personality. Laura is the consummate hostess, her kindness, friendship and connection made this a day I will remember. Starting with Tiramisu and progressing to Risotto. The meal was magic. . Thank you Laura. Cannot wait to return in the future

The best host and chef in Venice!
Laura was the consummate Venetian host who delighted us with her culinary expertise coupled with a fantastic personality which made for one of the best experiences during our Italian tour! She greeted us with wine and appetizers, chatted with us for a bit (which was lovely) and then we went to work cooking!! We made amazing Tiramisu, risotto with pesto from scratch! I loved the simplicity of the meal which I hope I can recreate for my friends back home. We loved our evening with Laura and highly recommend the experience for fellow travelers. Moto bene! Gracie mille Laura!!

      Fabulous!
Laura is generous with her knowledge and an engaging teacher. We began class at an extraordinary produce market on a boat and purchased local wine from a knowledgeable shopkeeper. In her kitchen she offered expert and precise instructions while explaining her technique and how we could adapt her recipes for more guests in the future. We finished with a festive and delicious lunch of lemon rosemary risotto and tiramisu with sparkling rose.

      Grazie Mille Laura
Oh my gosh. Such a treat for my daughter and I to shop and then cook risotto and tiramisu with Laura in her home. When I travel I like to experience the real country as much as I can and Laura provided this. Not only is she a great cook but she opened her house to us like we were long, lost friends.

      Shopping, cooking and meal
Laura was fantastic. The entire experience, from going to the local market to cooking a typical Venetian meal was great! Plus we learned so much about Venetian culture, as well.

Learning how to do Pasta as a family in a fun and clear way!!!
My kids, 5 and 8, wanted to learn how to do Italian pasta. That was the main thing for them in Venice and Gioia made it a great and fun experience for the whole family!!! The lesson was great and the food was superb! I really do think I can do it at home and I’m leaving Venice with a pasta machine in tow! Totally great experience!!!

After searching for the "perfect" class (food, location, date, etc) on April 28th I booked the class for 6 people. On July 8th I asked if 1 more person could be added. They said yes. Perfect! On July 15th they canceled the class. This was their message (it is copied and pasted):

We are so sorry but due to unexpected circumstances your host Massimo Belletti has to cancel your upcoming experience on Wed, 26 Jul 2023. We have processed a full refund.

    The provided reason is below:
Sorry thwy call pn board too early!
We are truly sorry for the inconvenience.

Why did they say 1 more person could be added, only to cancel it almost a week later. It was very disappointing to have the class canceled that close to the date. Some of my friends had already left the US and started their vacation.

It sounds like we missed a good class. Good luck to those who book.

We are a big group ...friends , family....and Massimo was one of the group!! From the moment we booked the experiential cooking class, we were looking forward to it more than anything in Venezia! Welcoming and inviting ambience and location the other guests made it fun, we laughed all evening! Massimo and his amazing meal was beyond expectations he explained every delicious course and we ate very well. Highly recommend this as it's not a typical cooking class but definitely unique and most memorable part of our trip for sure! Grazie mille Massimo!

We really enjoyed the tour and class with Massimo. He was very friendly and the food was tasty. We would have liked to receive some recipe cards afterwards so we could recreate what he made. And the class description says it would end with warm chocolate cake, which it does not. We were completely full by the end and don’t feel we missed out on much without the dessert, but feel it should be taken out of the description if it’s not going to be included.

What a fabulous way to end our Venice trip with a cooking experience with Massimo! We were met at a cafe near the Rialto markets and then taken to the best seafood stall where Massimo carefully and thoughtfully chose the best seafood for our meal: Tuna steak, mussels, scampi and octopus!!! We were welcomed into Massimo’s home where we were taken on a taste tour of flavoursome Italian family cooking! Lots of wine, conversation, food of course and fun. Massimo made us feel like we were old friends.
An experience not to be missed !!!!
