About
The best parts of Venice are always the secret and inespected ones. In my opinion in fact, "traveling" means "discovering". Travelers should therefore feel a constant urge to learn new things and see ... "more". In Venice, they would try to discover the whole city and live it at fullest. They would have to look at customs and traditions, support the arts and crafts, taste the local food ... in short, they would have fun. And in doing so, but also the emotions felt (and the eyes of those who led them). I would like to show you off-the-beaten-path, discovering the mysterious, the hidden corners of Venice which is not JUST St. Mark's Square: it's ALSO St. Mark's Square . I look forward to meeting you! Nadia, your "Friend in Venice"

Walking with a friend through Venice
May 2021
My husband and I did a private tour with Nadia, asking her to show us some of the more off-the-beaten-path, local parts of Venice and not the big tourist attractions. We spent a lovely 3 hours doing just that! The pace was laid back and filled with fascinating facts about the history of the city, how it was built, Venetian life, both past, and present that you wouldn't ordinarily get on a typical tour. I've been on many historical tours where the guide seems to be just reading from a script, spitting out as many facts as possible but with Nadia, it was more like a leisurely walk and a great conversation with a local friend. Our tour ended with Prosecco in the sitting room of a former private home that is now a boutique hotel. All in all a lovely experience!

Passionate and amazing
Oct 2020
Nadia is incredibly passionate about Venice and her love of her city shows through. My family and another family (4 adults, 3 children) spent four hours with her - three walking around and one on a boat. I told her we had been to Venice multiple times over the years and wanted to bypass the 'typical' tourist sites. I laid a desire for a theme (history and Venice as the natives see it) and she prepared a wonderful tour. Her pacing was spot on and the tour kept building until the very end. She set the ending time to conclude with an on-the-water view of St Mark's Square. Both families were incredibly impressed and kept talking about the tour long into the evening and next day. She kept the interest of children and adults alike. I can't recommend her enough. Please find her at friendinvenice dot com and send her an email. Whether you've been to Venice a thousand times or this is your first visit -- you'll learn something new and see parts you've never seen before. Bravo, Nadia!

Walk through history with Nadia
Feb 2020
Nadia is a wonderfully joyful, sincere, and knowledgeable guide. She brings every corner of Venice alive as you walk with her through the little alleys and over the canals. This is HER Venice, she speaks of how "we" saved the bell tower, how "our" buildings were built up in the middle of a lagoon... She knows everyone...or let's say she has never met a person she didn't like, making everyone from the city workers to the gondoliers smile as she chats with them along the way. She has the unique ability to engage her guests by understanding what interests them and tying it to Venice. In other words, she keeps everyone engaged and before you know it, the day is over.

Seeing Venice through the eyes of a Venetian means knowing Venice like no one else can see it. Discovering new things to stay away from people and grasping the soul of Venice. Thanks for helping me to make the tour beautiful, it also depends a lot on you. .I had fun Grazie Mike & Kara see you soon baci baci Nadia

The Best Way to Experience Venice!
We booked our tour with Linda based on a recommendation from a friend. And we are so glad we did! Linda was so accommodating to our needs, easy to work with, and very flexible. She met us at the train station and helped us find the luggage storage area where we needed to store our bags before we could check into our Airbnb. Thank goodness she offered to help us with this because we never would’ve found the tiny little alley location of the storage area, and it was flooded at the time so she make sure we purchased boots before we got to that area. She then made sure that we knew where we were going later so that we could find our way back to pick them up and the check into Airbnb which was in a different location of the city. She communicated with Airbnb Host to try to make things as easy as possible for us. We then started our tour with a stop at a bakery and Linda arranged for us to have a variety of Venetian pastries. Then we continued with a private boat ride over to Marano, where we were able to view a glassblowing demonstration with commentary by the gallery owner! He then took us into his amazing gallery with the most spectacular works of glass art we have ever seen. We left Murano and went back to Venice to continue our walking tour. All along the way Linda gave us the history of the city and was very informative the entire time! Pointing out well-known buildings and areas and giving us the history and stories behind them. After a little more of the walking tour we went on to a true Venetian food experience! She arranged for us to have a table at a beautiful restaurant and we had a mixture of venetian delights, and pasta and lasagna for the kids. Linda was very attentive to our needs the entire day and making sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. We were so happy we booked her tour! I would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to get a true feel for the city!
