Nadia was an amazing tour guide. She took us to places in Venice we never would have gone to or found. She had great knowledge of the history of Venice. There was not a question she could not answer. At the end of our tour, she helped us negotiate a water taxi for the next day to get to the Venice airport. We never could have done that ourselves. She would not take no for an answer from the taxi guys.

We had a wonderful tour with Nadia! We appreciated her grasp of Venetian history and love of her city. Nadia took us to small out of the way places that were a special treat and you always knew she was there for just us during this time. The included private water tour was truly excellent. The captain is a total pro and we found ourselves winding through some of the smaller canals I never would have imagined our very comfortable boat could navigate. A wonderful afternoon - and we did feel a little like Venetians by the end.

Great experience with Nadia, took us around town and paid for everything! Great food and drinks. Happy with the experience. Molto bene!

The boat ride and tour were unforgettable. Learning the history and exploring the hidden backstreets was a special experience. Nadia went beyond the tour to make arrangements to enhance our Venice experience.

Nadia was amazing! So fun, so interesting! She let us in know the fun facts you would only learn from a 6th generation Venetian! We had a great tour around town (skipping the crowded public stops) and on to a great grand canal tour via private water taxi! She did help us get fabulous family photos to forever remember our experience. Did I mention, she also treated us to a coffee and pastry, walked us right in to a local pizza joint that had a line out the door that we wanted to visit after our tour? Everyone around town knew Nadia, she is a local legend! She made our Venice trip!

Nadia did a wonderful job of showing us the highlights of Venice with a walking tour. She was prompt and thorough and made our experience unforgettable. Even after our tour was over, I contacted her to see if she could help us navigate a taxi for the following morning and she was more than willing to help. Highly recommend her.

Nadia met us at our hotel and explained the history of Venice and then tailored our tour to our interests. We needed to take it slowly and Nadia did a fantastic job of explaining everything and keeping a slow pace. She treated us to cappuccino and pastry at a table when we needed a rest. She has a deep knowledge of the history of Venice and guided us through back streets to be in the Venice with few tourists areas. We highly recommend her and this tour.

While this tour service has very few poor ratings, we should have heeded what they said as we experienced everything described by those few who had a bad experience. And given our experience, I anticipate a rather lengthy rebuttal by Nadia. We booked the "I Love Amarone" tour which is described in detail in the website. Our most expensive tour in 2 weeks while touring Italy, so we anticipated at least what we paid for.... First, the good news, she arrived on time, the private water taxi was excellent and so was the driver who transported to and from Verona from Venice, and the winery we visited was wonderful. but.....We first became uneasy when she "berated" a tour guide about a group of tourists standing along the veranda of our meeting place, making getting by a challenge. She repeated this with a tourist who she felt was standing on the balcony at Romeo & Juliet's too long... On the way to Verona she started sharing the history of Venice, but as we had just done a walking tour the day before, we told her that we were given all that information. Then she started talking about the early history of the United States, and when we told her we were Canadian, she began with a history of Canada...none of which was remotely interesting to us at this point. Upon arrival in Verona, she walked us through the historic centre and then asked us to wait at a local coffee shop while she got tickets for Juliet's balcony. Thankfully we ordered something small to eat along with our coffee given what happened for our "lunch" later. She was gone almost an hour, so long that I sent her a message on What'sApp getting worried about what was happening. When she returned she said that she had trouble getting tickets as everything was supposed to be online...that left us puzzled as to why she wouldn't know this already?? We arrive at the house, spend a short time there and then walk back to the van to go for lunch. It is now getting close to 1 p.m after a pick up at 9:30 a.m. We drive to a restaurant where she planned to have lunch and it was closed. I asked if she had confirmed and she advised she called, but couldn't reach anyone. We learned later from the winery staff that the restaurant owner was away and the restaurant was closed for a bit. She had no idea where to go from there.... everyone now looking on google search for local restaurants. I then ask what time our reservation is at the winery, she says 2 p.m. and it is now getting very late to stop for lunch. We end up at a cafe, order a small flat bread with water and then off we go to the winery. The winery experience was great and she offered to buy us a bottle of wine to make up for the issues that day, I took the offer. As we drove back to Venice, she asked us about our experience. I complimented the winery experience and left it at that, avoiding confrontation. However, she was insistent on how we felt about the tour and I responded that it could have been better organized. Rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, she immediately began defending herself and I simply stopped talking. We were to go on another tour the next day with her co-worker Linda, but she told us Linda was not available and some other person would fill in.... at that point we decided we didn't want to proceed, so told her we wouldn't be able to go, using my bad knee as an excuse. We were supposed to be able to cancel, but she advised they had already bought the palace tickets for 50 Euros, so we paid her for the tickets, and cancelled the tour. Interesting that she didn't have the tickets for Juliet's balcony, but had the tickets for the next day...but we decided we were too uncomfortable to proceed. For anyone that has had a great experience with this company - good for you and I am glad you enjoyed. However, I would never recommend this tour company to anyone. We had many other tours while in Italy and I have travelled the world... this day ranked at one of most disappointing I have ever booked.

Nadia spent 2 hours walking with us around Venice landmarks and teaching us history of this beautiful city, showing great shops and restaurant. We also spent an hour in a private water taxi. This was a great experience for us. We highly recommend Nadia.

Our tour with Linda was a great way to kick off our vacation to Italy. We started with a walking tour of the city, where Linda explained how the city is structured and how the city was built. After that, we took a water taxi tour of the grand canal. Finally, we visited Murano and Burano and the kids even got to take a shot at blowing glass. We had a fantastic time and learned a lot about the city, The tour was definitely one of the highlights of our 11 day trip to Italy. Linda was extremely kind and professional. I was impressed by her efficiency. There was no waiting around for transportation. Linda made a phone call and the water taxi would show up at just the right moment for the next part of our tour. I would highly recommend A Friend in Venice tour with Linda to anyone visiting Venice.

Nadia put together a wonderful bespoke trip for our family today! Our 16 year old and 21 year old were thrilled with the adjustments she made to the itinerary suit their interests. The glass artisan we visited was an exclusive find, and lunch in Burano was off the typical tourist path. Boats were beautiful. Definitely the highlight of our visit to Venice!

We did two tours with Nadia - Venice for Pleasure and Murano, Burano and Torcello. Nadia was recommended to us and she didn’t disappoint. Her knowledge of the city was great and she took us to the quieter, less touristy parts which we liked. She also recommended some good places to eat. She was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed her company and our two tours.

Our family of five recently had the privilege of spending an unforgettable day with Linda as our tour guide in the amazing city of Venice. We had many wonderful tour guides on our 2-week vacation in Europe, and Linda was by far our favorite! Linda is the kindest, most considerate person, which combined with her knowledge and passion for Venice, makes her the best tour guide you could ever have. Throughout the day, she gave us her expert commentary on the history, art, and architecture of Venice and you could feel her passion for this beautiful city. She also has a wealth of knowledge about things to do and see in Venice aside from the usual tourist attractions. Linda had the whole day perfectly planned for us and took care of every detail. She asked us what we wanted to see and made sure we had time for everything, but she also wanted to make sure that it was a fun and relaxing day for us. And it was!! There were so many special highlights of the day, but one of our favorites was a surprise visit to a beautiful historic palazzo. We felt like royalty having drinks and croissants in a private room and then being whisked away on our private boat down the Grand Canal. Linda arranged private water taxis that were perfectly timed to take us to the islands of Murano and Burano, and also arranged for us to have a delicious lunch in Burano and a sweet gelato treat afterwards. One thing I noticed throughout the day is how much the people that she dealt with loved and respected her (taxi drivers, shop owners, restaurant owner, etc.) This is a reflection of her warm personality and professionalism. Linda went above and beyond to help us have the best day in Venice and we are so grateful to her for helping us all to have wonderful memories of Venice that we will always cherish. We highly recommend Linda to be your tour guide in Venice if you want to feel like a special friend is taking care that you have the best experience in the city that she loves.

We had a fabulous tour with Linda - my husband and 3 teenage children throughly enjoyed Linda’s passion and enthusiasm for her beautiful city. She took us to an exclusive palazzo, back streets, boat tours and went well above our expectations. She recommended concerts, places for us to eat and even booked our water taxi to the airport.
