- zonorm0 contributionsFantastic and Personal ServiceWould 100% book again the next time I’m in Venice. Due to a holiday and planned boat regatta, the main canal was closed to public and private taxi boats. To get around this we were greeted at the hotel and escorted to the correct dock where we found our private taxi. They made it simple and easy for us to get to the airport without rushing, and were friendly and helpful throughout. Highly recommended!Written September 6, 2022
- joys1300 contributionsATVO coach from airportArrived at Marco Polo airport followed overhead signage to buses. Purchased ATVO coach tickets from the ATVO app but you can do it at the desk there. Was 18 euros per person return ticket. Brilliant service could not fault it direct run no stops in between takes you right into the bus station in Central Venice.Written September 4, 2022
- FromtheEast0 contributionsWhat an end to fantastic holiday! My wife and I had another most memorable 12 day holiday in Venice and decided to end it by travelling to the Marco Polo Airport by water taxi. Although we thought that the price was rather on the steep side (€120) it was worth it. Much better we thought than trundling our cases to the Vaporetto and taxi or coach. We were greeted by a very polite, well dressed Italian who ushered us from our hotel door into this super, mahogany launch. Cases were taken and loaded by our driver. We tootled through the canals and the into the open lagoon, when the throttle was opened and we sped off at speed with spray issuing from behind. Arriving at the airport, the moorings at the airport being quite new , we were helped off and we made our way in the airport. Highly recommended but be prepared for a marvellous trip through the Venetian canals and across the lagoon.Written December 21, 2019
- Tracy P0 contributionsExpensive ride but must experience onceI book the private gondola for 6 persons online, we are two, so pay for roughly €120 for 30 minutes. Not cheap indeed but compare with reserving the whole gondola, it’s surely cheaper. Finally, only two of us ride it, so it’s pretty good deal. I book the riding time at 3:45pm. I think most people would book the ride in the morning or late afternoon, so 3-4pm may be low time to earn the advantage.Written October 23, 2019
- gdmyers0 contributionsEnjoyed the ride to the airport!Expensive, just use a regular water taxi and save $50-60. My tour leader had to call twice to get them to confirm my pickup time and number of the taxi. Should not have been necessary to do that, but I did finally get a text message with confirmation, taxi number and drivers name. Very nice looking mahogany wood boat and driver was well dressed and courteous.Written October 3, 2019
- ppaleg0 contributionsEasy transfer for cruiseCa Sagredo Hotel arranged for a private water taxi to take us from the hotel’s private dock straight to the cruise terminal. With 7;cruise ships in the city at the time, we were able to avoid the busy people mover and was taken straight to Oceania’s location.Written June 11, 2019
- Susan D0 contributionsShort stay in VeniceWe arranged a prívate return transfer from treviso Airport to Venice Cruise terminal through Gettransfer. It was the most económic of all prívate taxis, with a Mercedes Benz, a fantastic chófer, so friendly and helpful in explaining all we needed to know to get about Venice and the BEST way to arrange our tours especially to the islands. Wonderful. I highly recommend the Transfer firm for helping make our stay so special and easy to arrange.Written April 26, 2019
- Seanb_us0 contributionsDon't pre-book the gondola ride, just go get one ad-hocWe booked this in advance for our first full day in Venice. We wanted a tour to kick-start our visit and show us around. We loved the walking tour, but skip the gondola and do that on your own. After the walking tour came the gondola tour. We got put to the side with other travellers while the tour organizers checked in a hundred or so extra visitors. We just stood around rather bored. Then, we were led to the gondolas, but the new customers got to go first. So, we waited some more whilst those guys got on the gondolas first. I know, I'm whining, but it was irritating. Our gondolier told us, when asked, that he's been doing this for 25 years. I suspected he was a tad burned out. One of our party rested a foot on the side of a seat (polished wood) and got a lecture -- okay, I get it, but there was no scuff, no mark, and there are better ways to handle that. Also, the gondolier spent the entire trip talking to other gondoliers we passed or followed and really ignored us. Additionally, all the gondolas of a hundred people followed each other in a loop. I mean, riding gondolas is very quaint and a must-do for a first trip to venice, but we came to refer to this as our "Disney ride." The canals are unique and quaint, and don't smell in March, and the architecture is fantastic, and clearly the sea is rising and the buildings are sinking. We loved the canals. But this gondola ride was just not for us. And, then, the Disney ride ended. So, we'd book a walking tour, we loved that, but skip a pre-booked gondola tour. However, the next day we booked our own gondola ride. It was quite different. We actually wanted the gondola to take us to a particular wine bar, which he would do for 120 Euros. But, for 80, he would take us in a much longer loop (I don't understand this, even today), so we did that. This wasn't a train of gondolas all following each other. And, the gondolier spoke to us and chatted about some of the things around us. It was a much better experience. So, apparently, you can't really book a gondola to take you to a specific place, as one would a taxi, but if you want a gondola ride, and you should your first time in Venice, the best way to do it is to walk up to a stand, chat with the gondoliers, and rent a gondola ride ad-hoc right there and not as part of a pre-booked anything.Written March 18, 2019
- mstg140 contributionsGreat gondolier, rude ticket agents. We arrived at the ticket booth to find out if we were at the right area. Both ticket agents were texting on their phones an became very upset when I interupted them. After getting their attention for the second time he finally looked at my reservation and told me to sit and wait. We were upset about the way the ticket agents treated us. Two gondoliers came around the ticket booth and we spoke to them. There was no other group waiting so one of them offered to take us early. The gondolier, Elivs was great. Very personable and informational. He made the ride very enjoyable. This trip came with wine and we also had to remind them about that.Written March 5, 2019
- DanZ7340 contributionsBest way to get from the airportThis is an awesome way to get from the airport to the cruise terminal! No typical car ride or shuttle van. Your own private boat pulls right up near the cruise ship and let's you out. It is a great way to take in the sites heading into the port as well.Written December 13, 2018
- meanskabrina0 contributionsPick up by Van serviceOur Van pick up was great. Had two van's booked and they showed up on time and were very nice. Would do this again in the future over trying to get a water taxi with so many ships in dock (10 ships on this day).Written November 8, 2018

This city is beautiful on approach with views from the boat while travelling through.
The beautiful architecture of the classic buildings and statues is amazing to see.
Highly recommend you visit San Marco and Rialto.
Also take a ride on the famous Venice canal.
