Great Gondola ride- 6:30-6:50. Ok Ghost stories- 8:30-10:20.
This was ok. The night gondola was amazing, but then you had to wait 1.5 hours for the tour, missing dinner time. There were a few interesting story but most were about dying babies. Moral of the tour, babies cry. Also, this has ALOT of hard walking, after your day of wandering Venice.

Photos don't do this Basilica Justice!
When we arrived at the meeting point, it seemed veery chaotic, with several groups all there together. Once it was time for the tour, it was all fine - each tour guide had their own channel on the audio guides and we sorted into groups quickly. When we entered the Basilica, I was glad we had opted for a guided tour - there is just so much to take in, and our guide, Lucia, was very knowledgeable about the history of the church and the artwork it contained. We saw both the Basilica itself and the Museum on the upper level. I would have liked to also see the Palo d'oro, but that wasn't an option we could book.

Visiting the off-shore island of Murano
We love the ferry boat that operates between Venice and Murano. It’s easy to find at Venice, the cost is low, and the water is typically calm. The trip to Murano is 20-30 minutes, depending on the amount of other boat traffic and whether to boat stops at the island cemetery and/or cathedral (each worth a visit). Then your rewards are great photo opportunities from the boat and visiting Murano, a quaint island community of homes, shops, glass-blowing, and a museum. The residents are welcoming. The only thing we’ve noticed recently is that prices for glass and other items have increased quite a bit. It seems that Asian and perhaps other visitors are willing to pay more. However, bargaining usually is welcomed and will reduce your costs significantly. We have enjoyed it every time.

Skip unless you have nothing else to do
Short walk with few low-intensity anecdotes. Not really deep or original. You can skip and instead just take a walk around the city

A good-paced tour of the cathedral and the museum in an hour
We were looking for skip the like tickets for the next day. (because otherwise the line for free entrance into st mark’s cathedral is hours long in either the sun or rain. You can buy them online from the direct website for the cathedral and it’s only a few euro per person but they sell out a month in advance. So we were willing to pay a higher price for a skip the line ticket.) it turns out we could have bought just the skip the line ticket for 10€/person at the kiosk but we did not know that when we scheduled this tour. So instead we had an hour tour to skip the line into st mark’s (amazing and one of our favorite cathedrals to see) as well as entrance into the museum, which we hadn’t seen, and the loggia of horses or the original 4 horse statues (captivatingly beautiful imo). All of that in an hour. We had earpieces to be able to hear the guide and she was a lovely older lady who awed us in showing that age and stairs were not going to slow her down. The information she gave was great and interesting, though not as much history as my husband likes to hear. But as our children are aged 18, 16, 8, and 3, they would not have been as interested in the historical details. 1 hour seemed like a perfect amount as the 3yr old would not have lasted any longer. But the experience was wonderful. St mark’s cathedral is a favorite because of the age and the glittering gold tiles covering the entirety of the ceiling, but it still contains strong religious themes from the scriptures instead of the emphasis on homages to prominent political figures. In the end, we got to show our children a memorable marvel, see things in the museum new to us, and be done in an hour. And we got to see the dome glitter when the light was turned out that only is turned on in certain occasions. We appreciated that.

Great tour and very nice guide
We really liked this tour, it was well organised and Giulia was very sweet and knowledgable. The stories were sad, scary and also funny, and we saw many parts of Venice we had not seen before. Definitely recommend!

    Disappointed
Very disappointing. The gondoliers seemed disinterested in taking us out and argued over who would do it. They were unfriendly, and our boatman did not say more than 6 words to us, these at the end asking if we enjoyed ourselves. Frankly, no. We spent half of the 20 min ride (paid for 30 but whatever) sitting still in the grand canal while other boats zipped by. Then we went down one of the least attractive side canals, clogged with other gondolas, came right back out and were deposited at the dock. I am certain other companies will give you your money's worth. I have seen them.

    Terrible service
The ride was supposed to last 30 minutes and it only lasted 15 minutes. Also the "gondolero" was the whole time in his cellphone while operating the gondola. I complained with the person in charge who only told to contact provider. I called Viator and they addressed properly the situation.

    Private ride on gondola
The gondola ride was good as expected. However we paid €160 booking the trip online with trip advisor when you could just walk up to any of the gondolas and the standard cost was €90. There was absolutely no difference. We had to wait in line like everyone else, but paid an extra €70

    Horrible experience
It was a horrible experience! Never buy online!! You’ll be so overcharged. I paid $211 online for private gondola for 30 minutes prior to going and when I got there, it was $110 and only gave me 15 minutes! Didn’t even give me the full amount of time and I was overcharged to begin with!

    Best Walking Ghost Tour!!
This was honestly a fantastic experience. We were taken down lots of side streets which you would never think of exploring yourself. The stories about the plague and the plague islands was fascinating. The guide also told us about all the burial grounds scattered around Venice that churches are now build on top of. She also told us all about the abandoned palace and anyone who stayed there died a horrible death and that a girl haunts this palace. It is still abandoned to this da as no one will stay there. She told us stories about the baker boy and about the girls from wealthy families forced to become nuns so their fathers wouldn't have to give up their dowries. This was one of the best walking tours I have ever been on and I highly recommend. Thank you to our lovely guide. I unfortunately forget her name but she had blonde hair and wore glasses. She was just amazing.

    Disappointing
The itinerary was great but there were not enough breaks. The guide was knowledgeable but unfriendly. The organizers were unorganized. Most of them knew nothing about the gondola ride. We were supposed to get lunch recommendations. We did not get any. I would not do this tour with you again.

    Disappointing!
A very disappointing experience. It lasted less than 45 mins. The guide said because of flooding in St Marc's Square she was unable to include 2 of the stories she would have told us about. She did tell us some interesting stories but we did not cover the itinerary indicated in you online information. The guide was apologetic but I feel we should have been compensated in some way either by a refund or a voucher for another experience as £25 was a lot for less than half of the walk

The listing for this excursion was GUIDED tour of the palace. We were there on time at the entrance. No sign of a guide. The admissions people suggested we tour the museum on our own, which we did. Take the word GUIDED out of the title.
