This was a fun way to start my vacation in Venice. Since that airport is North of the city. the ride took me through the entire city of Venice on a beautiful day before arriving near my hotel in the St. Mark's Area. Only regret is that I had to pay for a couple even though I was traveling solo. However, it was a easy path to navigate from my plane (except for the extend walk to the dock) to my final destination. Wish they had a single's rate.

Meeting point was not extremely clear as there were several other taxi services at the same area. Nobody around at 6:20AM. The airport taxi arrived a few minutes late. Enough to make you panic especially on your way to the airport. After he arrived, it was smooth.

It was easy to book, and exchange the voucher for a ticket at the Alilunga terminal. Also well signed at the airport and a relatively easy walk to the water terminal. The ride to Venice was interesting and comfortable.

I love Venice. I had been there before, but only for a short cruise stop. We saw so much more this time. It's very crowded; even in October! We stayed in a hotel near the Rialto bridge (which accounted for the crowds). Unfortunately for cruise visitors, you can't dock right in Venice anymore. They have found that this is ruining the canal system. So, you have to go to a place called Chioggia which is over an hour away! Hopefully, the city will find a better spot to dock cruise ships. We spent time in the Jewish Ghetto (the oldest one in the world). Well worth the trip if this is of interest to you. The tour of the Doges Palace however, we found to be a waste of time.

When we purchase the ticket online, we listed where we were going. Once we landed and finally found the desk to get our ticket, they said we couldn’t get there with a water taxi and refused to give us a ticket. We didn’t even have the option of speakingto the taxi driver. So we paid for the ticket and we’re not able to use it. The people at the ticket desk were extremely rude and very unhelpful. I would not recommend.

Really satisfied with our shared water taxi sevice. Had to wait a short while at Marco Polo but in fairness our flight was delayed. The return service was perfect, with our pick up right on time. We saved a little over 50% by choosing the shared taxi service.

Excellent transportation - instructions to desk 71 could be a little easier But once found very easy. Taxi boat was an excellent start to our break

No where in the airport to receive the prepared voucher for our water taxi into Venice so went to the dock and were told it was back at the airport? We had walked 15 minutes with all our luggage and we’re not going back to the airport. Hired a water taxi at the dock. Don’t book from home.

When you come out of baggage claim there are blue signs indicating where to go for water transit. After a 10-15 minute hike to the water terminal you will arrive where there is no Desk 71. Confused, you will ask where is Desk 71 is? You will be told it is back in the Arrival Terminal. So after a 10-15 minute hike back to the arrival hall you will desperalely eventually find Desk 71 totally out of sequence with any other desk signage. Where is desk 70? 72? After finally having the bar code scanned from the TA reservation escanned you will be handed an old school chit and told what dock to wait at for your other travelers. After another 10-15 minute hike back to the water taxi dock (we're up to 45 minutes back and forth by now) you will need to wait for over another 30 minutes to be crammed below deck for the ride to your hotel with a total of 12 passengers and their luggage. It will then take up to another hour plus to get to your hotel depending on the arrival sequence determined by the driver. Note that as the driver loads you it is LIFO, (Last In, First Out). Later, when you have time to figure out what exactly you got wrong or missed in this scenario, you review the TA information which says, "Please refer to our desk number 71 at the arrival hall." Buon Viaggio!

I wish I had a better review, but honestly, I think the public water taxi is a better bet. We landed and had to wait 45 minutes for our taxi (they put you on a taxi with people from different flights) and then found out that we would be dropped at a public ACTV station. Additionally, our driver was NOT friendly and was actually rather short with everyone.

Transport from the Marco Polo airport to Venice on the Alilaguna boats was very easy. It takes a while, but it’s a comfortable ride. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes from the airport to San Marco. We booked online, and exhanged our printed paper for tickets at the ticket office right next to where the boats leave and arrive. Follow signs from the main terminal at the airport. It ways WATER TRANSPORT. The walk to the boats takes about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your speed. We were able to take either the Red Line and the Blue Line, as both go to San Marco stop, which suited us. There was place for our luggage at the front of the boat, and the staff were helpful. Recommended.

Efficient service but do ensure you check in at desk 71 in the arrivals hall (exit from baggage claim and turn left). Don’t go straight to the water taxis. Desk 71 will check you in and allocate spaces on the boats before directing you to the waterside. Boat ride is speedy and quite exciting and takes you direct into the heart of Venice.

We had about 8 hours to kill at Marco Polo airport in Venice with all our cases, but having never been to Venice before we wanted to explore the city. Firstly from late spring to early autumn there is a left luggage place at the airport where for 7 Euros per case you can leave suitcases for 6 hours. from then on it is 50 cents per hour up till 9pm when they close. Having left our cases we needed to get to central Venice. The queue for the taxi boats was MASSIVE and very expensive, so we got a coach to Venice and back - no queueing and very reasonably priced. Venice was lovely, and you can walk around to most parts on foot. It was lovely to get an impression of the city ad we enjoyed it very much.

Found taxi ok - good part 15 people crammed onto 1 taxi with all our luggage. Far too many people no room to sit, most people had luggage on their laps. 2 travellers had 3 or 4pieces of luggage. Complete trip was very uncomfortable and unsafe. If an accident occurred no one would of got out. No communication with driver. Very bad first impression of Venice. Just had another shared taxi to return, what a difference. On time no crowding,quite enjoyed it.

Confusing finding the correct tour group in the large volume of arriving tourists. Looked for someone with a placard and our name...no luck. Had to blindly ask around until we found the office who told us where to wait for the water taxi ( 20 minutes wait). We did not see a name or placard in the arrival area of the airport. Also, water taxis are available there at arrival so I don't see the advantage of booking ahead.
