    Fun and informative day
We met in the dock area just past the transportation area of Venice. a tram takes you to the area from the transportation area. there were 6 people in our group. Our driver/guide was outstanding. Took us to some wonderful places in the Mountain's. The included lunch was also very good. I felt that the money spent for the experince was well spent. Highly recommend this tour.

    Truly a beautiful adventure!
Our custom two-week vacation in Italy was amazing! Avventure Bellissime booked everything for us and was very responsive to all our questions while we were there. The private drivers were excellent and the tour guides were first-class. We would use AB again!!!

Get the best out of your visit to Venice with this tour.
We were blown away with the opulence and sheer beauty of this place. If you are in Venice, THIS is one of the MUST SEE tours to take. (St. Mark’s Basilica is obviously the other not to miss.) Unless you have a guide to explain the historical background, it would probably not be so impressive. Our guide was incredible. She really gave us the context to the Venetian culture and their political influence, because of their connections to the world by trade. Exploring the dungeon-like prison was a sobering experience.

    Fascinating Tour!
Very interesting and informative tour. The “Golden Staircase” was striking. Fascinating history of what a Doge was, completely different than I had thought. Walking across the Bridge of Sighs into the prison was awesome. Seeing the prison gave more meaning to the name of the Bridge of Sighs.

    AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH AVVENTURE BELLISSIME
We had such a lovely trip and largely thanks to you and your staff! Each and every guide and driver was beyond professional, kind and welcoming. Let me start with Fabio our driver who actually stayed over in our remote hilltop town of Pitigliano to be ready each morning to whisk us away to our daily adventure. He was amazing! His final trip was to drive us to Venice by way of Bologna and saw us to our water taxi. He checked on us later in the day to be sure we arrived and were continuing our amazing adventures in Italy. His thoughtfulness was incredible. Eddie our guide in Venice was beyond engaging. So knowledgeable and had great dinner and lunch recommendations. She delivered us to this tiny cafe practically under a Venice bridge where there were about 6 tables. The food was incredible! She was so kind in taking the best pics. She knew so many locals and engaged each one with such love. Her knowledge of Venice was wonderful. Virginia was our guide in Florence. She was an incredible source of history. She made it so entertaining and enticing. Her love of her city was so evident. Stephano was incredibly entertaining with bringing history to life. He so enthusiastic and charming. He took us to a tiny cafe to sample porcetta(best sandwich ever) and fabulous white wine. He was so kind to take a tiny side trip to the magnificent church that housed the tiny cottage of St Francis of Assisi because he appreciated that we appreciated it. Such a stop was so moving and spiritual and we were very thankful. Our guide in Bologna forgive me I can not remember her name. She was amazing as well. She too loved her city and truly wanted to share Bologna with us. She too hand delivered us to an amazing restaurant to try Bolognese sauce the way it should be eaten over tortellini. I highly recommend Avventure Bellissime. Monica and her staff are incredible. They are insightful and take the time to curate tours to their clients. I literally sent Monica a list of places I wanted to see and she came back with entire itinerary. It can not easier than that. Most important is the fact that either Monica or one of her highly attentive staff is available and actual answer any and all emails immediately.

It was perfect just the right amount and our guide was exquisite!
The meeting place was great then a stroll over to the entrance of Venice and a little history then into Doges palace. Learned about the lifetime commitment of a Doge, the hats, and of course the amazing architecture. Recommend always except when over 90’ then ummm 🤔 nope no air conditioning and 30 people going anywhere is a bad choice.

    Doges Review
Overall the guide was good but a little challenging to understand her accent. Since we were traveling already with Tauck, I wasn't able to print out the voucher so missed where the meeting point was and we went directly to the Doges, so some confusion and stress. The guide gave a 45 min talk of other info prior to going into the palace, which was a waste for us since we were on a Tauck tour and didn't need that background. We were anxious to go into the Palace. So I suggest dialing back that info personally. Seeing the prison and Bridge of Sighs was interesting.

A guide and tour worth your time and money
A knowledgeable and energetic guide. He was very helpful to an older guest who used a cane and needed to sit a few times. The guide had knowledge of the broader historical context of Venice and the era of its expansion.

    Wonderful tour for history buffs
Laula was our guide, and she was fantastic. She had a ton of tidbits to tell us, she could tell us about every painting, where it came from, and how to tell it's significance. Totally recommend

Exactly as described and perfect for me!
This tour was exactly as described and exactly what I was looking for. The tour guide was a local and pointed out good spots to eat away from the main tourist areas. Overall really happy with the tour for the price. The tour did end up running about 10 to 15 minutes long. I didn’t mind as I had time and it was due to extra time in Saint Mark’s Basilica with our tour guide explaining things. We were never waiting and the tour guide spent the entire time answering questions and talking about the city. There is a dress code for the church and some folks in the group needed to cover up. Our tour guide did have some extra cloth to help those, but I recommend being prepared. Wear clothes that covers your shoulders to your knees.

    An amazing experience.
The architecture and artwork were breathtaking and the history behind it all fascinating. The best part, however, was our guide. She was knowledgeable, yes, but so full of personality! The type of person you instantly take a shine to.

My wife and I recently returned from a 2 week custom trip to Italy I worked with Avventure Bellissime to construct. Bottom Line: Avventure Bellissime delivered and we had a great time. Details follow.

July 4, 2011 was our 30th wedding anniversary. We decided a long postponed trip to Italy would be our present to ourselves. I took responsibility for all the planning and presented my wife with the final plan for her final approval.

In July I started doing my homework and planning the trip. I wanted this to be a first class experience and decide I wanted some professional help yet wanted a very custom experience. I wanted a lot. So I started looking at my options: dates, rough itinerary, flights, airlines, travel agents, doing it online myself, etc. There were a lot of decisions to make. TripAdvisor, my experience from other travel, Google, etc., led me to: Go off season -- 2 weeks starting the second week in November; fly from home to Rome, tour Rome and environs for 5 days; train to Florence; tour Florence and environs for 5 days; train to Venice; tour Venice and environs for 5 days; fly home from Venice. Italy is endless but we had to define a reasonable first trip there. We'll see more in subsequent trips. Round trip travel options, flying economy, were reasonable: ~$1,000/person. PHX==>LAX==>FCO going and VCE==>JFK==>PHX returning. I got travel insurance -- didn't need to use it -- but felt better having it. All this wasn't as straight forward and exacting as it sounds above but it's ultimately what I wound up with.

The missing help was around how to handle things "in country". I researched all the big obvious travel agents and tour operators most with specialties in trips to Italy. All my research and requirements kept leading me to Avventure Bellissime. Before this I'd never heard of them: this led to fear, uncertainty and doubt. Trip Advisor reviews gave me a lot resassurenace. So in early August I contacted Avventure Bellissime by email. I started trading emails with Jonathan, as it turned out, one of the owners of the company. After about a dozen email exchanges and five weeks we had a signed contract for all the sightseeing, accommodations and "in country" travel squared away. Communication was challenging at times given my demands and expectations and our imperfect ESL to English communication across email and cultures. I subsequently put a deposit for the trip on my credit card (after straightening the credit card company out). And a few weeks before the trip paid the balance and got my vouchers for EVERYTHING which you need to have with you, in theory, to receive the pre-arranged tour, transfer, accommodations, or service. I tried to provide some balance in the itinerary to include rest time and free time to do things on our own. Breakfast and Wi-Fi was included in the 4-star hotels I selected. We had our iPads with us for electric communication with the world. I added a month of international 3G serivce to my iPad to bridge the gap when needed. The Fodor's 2012 book on Italy was helpful to have along too. All lunches and dinners were on our own. Even the bad meals in Italy are good. In the end my wife and I had exactly what we wanted. Here's how it all played out:

Day 0: Fly PHX==>LAX==>FCO

Day 1: Arrive in Rome at noon. Private car pick up at airport and transfer to hotel: Very good.

Remainder of the day in Rome on our own.

Hotel Ponte Sisto: Overall very nice. Centrally located. Classic standard double room bed and breakfast style. Updated and modern, but small, room. Nice bath with tub. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Wi-Fi was available only in the hotel lobby.

Day 2: In the morning we toured on our own. In the afternoon we took a Small Group Walking Tour of the Vatican. 12 people met our Licensed Tour Guide, Luca, at the entrance to the Vatican Museum. Luca was Excellent. For 4+ hours we were escorted and educated about the contents of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peters Basilica. In the early evening Luca made sure we had transportation (taxi in our case) back to our hotel.

Day 3: In the morning we had a private tour of Ancient Rome. We again had Luca as our tour guide and again he was Excellent. We met Luca at the started Colosseum and started our tour exploring it. We then moved past the Arch of Constantine to the Palantine Hill which was the birthplace of Rome and where the ruins of the emperors palace are. We then moved past the Arch of Titus depicting the sacking of Jerusalem. We descended into the ruins of the Roman Forum past the temples and senate and ending at the Arch of Severus and Trajan's Market. Luca spent 3+ hours with us and we had a great time. My wife asked Luca where to go shopping. He suggested and help us get a taxi to Via Cola di Rienzo and we shopped in the rain.

Day 4: Small group tour of Pompeii & Amalfi coast tour: Alex the driver was very good. This was a whole day 12+ hours with 8 people, including us. The car was a little cramp for all of us but we all had fun and got along. We made friends and it made the day very pleasant. Alex pointed out interesting things on the ride and stopped at appropriate intervals for breakfast and the WC. We arrived at Pompeii and were introduced to Guytono, our licensed tour guide for Pompeii. He was very knowledgeable but he was arrogant and made a few of the attendees feel bad about the questions they asked. I liked him but many people would not. For 2 hours of Guytono taught us about Guytono and ancient Roman life. After the tour we drove along the Amalfi coast seeing the beautiful coast. We stopped in Amalfi and Alex suggested a few restaurants to us one of which we settled on and voluntarily ate as a group. We walked on our own around Amalfi and shopped. We then returned to Rome and were drop our respective hotels.

Day 5: We toured and explored on our own.

Day 6: Transfer to Rome train station: The driver was friendly, on time and helpful with the luggage but did not help us find where to catch our train. Not a big deal.

Train to Florence: Very nice first class Euro-star travel. Easy and efficient. Personnel very helpful.

Pick up at train station and transfer to hotel: The driver was a little late and that was the only time I called Avventure Bellissime during the trip. The driver showed up while I was on the phone with Avventure Bellissime. It was nice being able to pick up the phone and reach out for help to Avventure Bellissime, even though in this case I really didn't need it. This was the one and only time I had to call Avventure Bellissime the whole trip -- that's how smooth all the arrangements Avventure Bellissime had made for us were! The driver picked us up at the station and took us to the hotel was nice and helpful but had gotten caught in traffic.

Hotel Santa Maria Novella: Overall very nice. Centrally located. Classic standard double room bed and breakfast style. The hotel was a converted palace and we had a very nice large room. Nice bath -- no tub. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff. Wi-Fi was available in our room. It was our favorite of the 3 hotels we stayed at in Italy. We had a very nice room overlooking the piazza from which we had a stunning view. The one negative thing about this hotel was it was VERY complicated to get to our room. You had to take 2 different elevators and walk through several halls. My wife could not come or go to the room herself. ;-)

We toured and explored on our own the rest of the day.

Day 7: In the morning we met our licensed tour guide Antonella for a 3 hour Small Walking tour of Florence. Antonella was Excellent. We did the tour with one family of four so there were six of us on the tour. We started at the Strozzi Palace; moved to the Ponte Vecchio; moving past the Uffizi and the statues of all the famous sons of Florence into the Piazza Della Signoria with its famous statues; to the Duomo and the famous doors on the Baptistery; to the Academy to see Michelangelo's David. We learned a lot of the history and the layout of the city all along the tour. The tour ended at the Academy.

We toured and explored on our own the rest of the day.

Day 8: In the morning we had a private tour of the Uffizi with a licensed tour guide, Catarina. Catarina was just OK. She was late, didn't acknowledge that and on top of that the tour ended 20 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. She was knowledgeable and got better/warmed up as we proceeded through the Uffizi but we were a little disappointed especially in comparison to the excellent experiences we had with the other tour guides Avventure Bellissime arranged for us.

Day 9: Small group tour of Cinque Terre: Claudio the driver was very good. This was a whole day 10+ hours with 8 people, including us. The car was a little cramp for all of us but we all had fun and got along. We made friends and it made the day very pleasant. Claudio pointed out interesting things on the ride and stopped at appropriate intervals for breakfast and the WC. Given that two of the towns had been severely damaged just 10 days before, the tour was adjusted. We went to the first town in the Cinque Terre and walked to the second along the Love Path. We then had lunch at the second town. Since the two of the towns were damaged we went to Porto Venere, a nice seaside village with a medieval fort and we then went to see the tower of Pisa. It was another great day.

Day 10: Transfer to Florence train station: The driver was friendly, on time and helpful with the luggage and helped us find where to catch our train. The driver was very helpful.

Train to Venice: Very nice first class Euro-star travel. Easy and efficient.

Pick up at train station and transfer to hotel: Christina met us at the station and was OK, but we did not get assistance with our bags like we did every other time. She arranged for a private water taxi for us which took us directly to our hotel.

Hotel Saturnia: Overall very nice. Centrally located -- right near Saint Marks Square. Classic standard double room bed and breakfast style. The hotel was older and more classically styled. The bath was very Euro style and not up to American standards but was adequate -- no tub. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Wi-Fi was available in our room but you had to ask for chits for 3 hours of Wi-Fi. We consumed quite a few of these. Our room overlooked the cannel where gondoliers led some tours.

Canal Boat tour: That afternoon we had a 35 minute Canal Boat tour with 8 other people in a power boat through the Grand Canal and through the city. It was a great way to see the city and architecture. Christina was the tour guide and was very good and informative.

We toured and explored on our own the rest of the day.

Day 11: In the morning we has Private Walking tour of Venice: Sabrina was our licensed guide and was Excellent. We walked several districts and learned a lot and really enjoyed this.

We toured and explored on our own the rest of the day.

Day 12: In the morning we toured and explored on our own.
In the afternoon we had a private tour of the Canneregio & Jewish Ghetto. Sabrina was again our guide and again was Excellent.

We toured and explored on our own the rest of the day.

Day 13: In the morning we toured and explored on our own. In the early afternoon we had a 35 minute Gondola ride arranged by Avventure Bellissime. This was very convenient, pleasant and romantic experience.

We toured and explored on our own the rest of the day.

Day 14: We toured and explored on our own the whole day.

Day 15: We arranged our own private water taxi through the hotel to take us to Venice airport. Avventure Bellissime offered this service but I didn't purchase it at the time of booking. After being in Venice a few days we decided it would be easier to do this than take the public water bus. Also, doing it this way was a little cheaper than Avventure Bellissime offered me this service for.

Fly home: VCE==>JFK==>PHX

Obviously this wasn't a minute by minute log of our trip and many details are left out like what we did on our free time (e.g., Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc., etc., etc.). I concentrated on sharing, in this review, the services Avventure Bellissime arranged for us. Some things didn't occur as smoothly or exactly as planned or contracted for. But all in all things went very smoothly. Only minor and reasonable accommodations had to be made to handle the natural things that happen on a complicated international trip. Traffic, floods, illness, confusion, etc. all happen in the real world and we experienced some of these on this trip. But all in all we were very satisfied, had a great time and got what we paid for. Avventure Bellissime helped make this a once in a life time first class experience.

It is not so easy to find the tour as the instructions say to go to the palace gardens, there are extensive wharfs here and the tour could be leaving from anyplace. We arrived 30 minutes early, though it did say to come 15 minutes early, the operators showed up at the time the tour was to leave!! It was not so well organised, the guide told me he thought there were too many tourists in Venice before we even got on the boat!!!
There are eight in the group with the guide and the driver, the tour is conducted in a private water taxi and we expected in advance it might be interesting and fun. At almost €100 for the two of us is was not fun, the guide seemed bored and his information was not detailed. The guide mentioned a couple of times to the group how Venice was to expensive for Venetians to live in anymore and how he had to move because of all the tourism and yet his job is dependant on tourism!! I found the tour bad value and kind of annoying because of the guides attitude.

Dear K H, Thank you for sending your feedback. Our clients' comments are very useful in order to understand where we need to improve our tours and, in general, our services. All our guides are experienced professionals who work with us for many years (in fact we recently won a very important reward for the good reviews of Tripadvisor visitors, the "Travellers Choice Tripadvisor Winner - Venice Grand Canal small group 1-hour boat tour") and we are very surprised to read about your comments. If you could remember the name of the guide and the date of the tour, we are open to make a deeper investigation about what happened during your tour. You can contact us directly writing to the e-mail address or contact us form you can find on our website. Best wishes, Marianna \ Avventure Bellissime sales dept.

If doing this tour be sure to be first or last onto the boat as the limited outside seating is at the front and the rear of the boat - enter in the middle and that’s where your will be stuck - down below with your ‘view’ through a narrow window. At the start of the tour the guide invited everyone to sit outside for a better view and then completely ignored the fact that 3 of us were still stuck below.
These are simply water taxis rented for the hour and not at all suitable for a guided tour.
The lucky people who got to sit outside on our tour will probably rate this tour more highly - although perhaps not if I had complained sooner - the guide’s response at the end of the tour was to advise I should have complained sooner so that she could have suggested other guests exchange places with us!
A “take it in turn tour”!!!
The operator is aware of this shortcoming (see other reviews) and ignores it.
I await response to my demand for a full refund.

Dear Martin, I believe we already answered your email directly so I will just include the same information for anyone's attention. Our Grand canal boat tour operates with 8/9 people per boat and guide as per tour description and video available on our website. Did you find that information on Viator's website? Based on our records on your boat there were 9 participants per guide. Our guide did notify us that when the tour ended you voiced your disappointment regarding the tour. We are sorry to read you are not satisfied with the tour however had the guide been notified earlier by you rather than when the tour has already ended the guide could have intervened to help you. Once the tour is over we can't change the past anymore, can we? Please be advised that this is a small group tour - there are going to be other participants on the boat, this is not a private tour just for you. We can't be responsible for their attitude or manners, if they are cooperative and accept to move to leave space to other people or if they don't care. Our guides if made aware during the tour that there are issues will try to intervene so that everybody is happy with the experience. What would be the point of running low quality tours? We have been on the market since 1999 so we have been successfully operating tours for almost twenty years. Furthermore this particular tour has actually been selected on Viator as the 2018 Travelers’ Choice Award Winner in the Top 10 Day Cruises - World category. These awards are based on customer reviews and satisfaction surveys. For any monetary requests since the tour was not booked with our company directly it is recommended to contact the reseller who based on history of your bookings, their policy as well as feedback from us regarding the issues stated in your comments will decide if any refund is applicable or not. I remain at disposal Best regards Aleksandra/ Sales Dept

My two friends and I arrived at 4:50 for a 5PM tour and could not find the service. I called in to the company to ask them to please direct me exactly where I should go, yet their directions pointed me to exactly where we were already standing. We showed multiple locals, including those working at the boat taxis the instructions and the assured us we were in the right place. The locals stated it appears the crew either left early, or did not provide a tour that day (some even suggested we were completely scammed).

Despite trying to get a full refund for this, I was denied.

DO NOT BOOK YOUR TRIP IN ADVANCE, we were able to take a beautiful Gondola tour for half the price right next door without any of the hassle of being directed to an incorrect pick up spot.

Take my advice and save your $60 PLEASE by never using this company.

Dear Chin, First of all, if you submit this type of review it would be advisable to include full details - your booking number, tour date and tour name. Presumably it is your aim to be vague in order to just prove your point. Secondly, at 5 pm we do not operate any gondola rides - we operate a Grand Canal boat tour so it looks like you don't know what you booked? Thirdly, assuming you are indeed referring to the boat tour please be advised this tour in peak season like September operates daily reaching more than 100-120 people per day and we have been using the same meeting point location ( entrance to the Royal Garden) for over ten years now. Surprisingly we have very few no shows so apparently other customers manage to find the correct location just fine and enjoy this tour very much as many 4 - 5 star reviews can prove. It is not mentioned for what date precisely you scheduled the tour so we cannot double check our records and verify with guides what occured. Our boat tour ( not a gondola ride) if taking place between Mon and Sat in peak season leaves punctually at 5 pm from the entrance to the Royal Garden. Our guides arrive there 5 -10 min earlier holding a sign with our company's logo and tour name on it. Your feedback is unclear on this but it seems that either you went to the wrong location or just arrived too late at the correct spot. It is not clear why you relied more on what random locals were telling you rather than checking the paperwork ( voucher) and getting in touch with the office for assistance. With over 100 people booked daily on this tour do you really think we would have been on the market for over 20 years if indeed we were not showing up at meeting points? Booking in advance is smart, especially in peak season when tours and activities sell out fast - it is just important to make sure to read what you book and check the correct location in advance to avoid frantic last minute search for the right spot. We booked four tickets for the 5 PM tour but got there 7 minutes late and it was gone.

We called Avventure Bellissime at 4:50 PM to tell ‘em that we’re passing Rialto on the #2 line water bus but were told that it has to leave on time and there’s nothing they can do.

Given that it was four of us (half the tour?), you’d think they would care enough to accommodate a few minutes delay. In contrast, our tour guide in Paris waited and called a couple that never showed up to the Versailles bus tour before letting the bus leave.

We ended up catching a Gondola for 100 Euros and it was great and more flexible.

Tip: Do not pre-book any tour on your day of travel. In our case, the train from Florence was an hour late which caused our 7 minute delay to this tour.

Dear Mike It is pretty common in many countries to be punctual for the services that you booked - be it a train, a tour or another type of service. Our boats are booked for a specific time and the tour needs to start on time. You admit yourself that you were 7 minutes late - so how is this out fault? Best regards Aleksandra Sales Dept

I booked this because it said small group and figured I would be a refreshing break from the heat and I'd be able to get some great photos.

It is a small group tour.... but also a equally small boat, with a very, very large roof and tiny windows (that don't open!). The available room in the front and back is adequate for about 5 people. But the group on the boat had more than that. So those not in the open air area got stuck under the canopy which was like sitting inside of a hot coffin with little ventilation and horrible views through the small windows (that do not open). You can't see out front, and the only real view is some out the back opening if the people in the rear are not standing.

The tour guide was fine, the vessels that the company is using however are not ideal. They are just the typical water taxis available around the canals to anyone.

If you want a open air tour of Venice on the canals, I'd suggest just a gondola or rent your own water taxi and ensure you can get out from under the roof.

Note there are other 1 hour canal tours offered in the immediate vicinity for 30 euros.

Dear Client We are sorry to read you are not fully satisfied with the experience. As you are not mentoning your booking number, tour date or anyting useful we can provide only a general reply. The tour operates with max 8/9 people per boat as advertised online as well as on our video. We don't know if you booked with us directly or or via a reseller and what information you read or not when you booked. Grand canal cannot be accessed by just any boat of any size or capacity - there are limitations according to local law which must be respected. We are using private motor-launches which have the necessary authorization to pass on the Canal. We cannot know the height or weight of customers who book or if perhaps some are rather large and occupy more space than usual. There is space in front the boat and at the back as well as inside if someone wants to rest. This is a small group tour so naturally tourists must cooperate aboard in order to allow anyone to take pictures. Our guide is always at disposal so in case there any issues all you need to do is notify the guide there any issues. A gondola ride is shorter and doesn't operate with a guide so that's hardly the same type of experience. Given many 5-star reviews our boat tour receives customers are generally satisfied with the experience. We remain at disposal Best regards, Aleksandra Sales Dept

This is enjoyable if you go in understanding what this is. The boat is just a water taxi that the tour company rents for an hour. To be clear, this is not an open air boat but a covered (mostly) boat. Everyone was disappointed. There are places to be outside and we crammed about 10 people there because no one wanted to be inside. The guide was informative. My teens were bored and started to doze off. We aren’t sorry we did it but I wouldn’t say it’s a must.

Dear Client, Our small group grand canal boat tour operates with max 8/9 people per boat and on our website you can view a video about how the tour operates and what type of boats we use. There is an open space part and the covered part which is useful in case of rain or if anyone wishes to hide from the sun. As this is a tour with other people it all depends how cooperative other participants are, if they wish to move to leave space to the others etc - this is not something that we can impose on tourists. Our guides where possible ask the customers to allow everyone to stay outside so that anyone can admire the city and take some pics but as I said - it all depends on how cooperative people in the group are. Perhaps you simply had different expectations, perhaps your teens would have preferred a different type of vacation rather than touring an art city, we cannot know that. This is one of our most popular tours and is usually highly rated by the customers who appreciate the tour allows them to view Venice from a different perspective. I remain at disposal Best regards Aleksandra/ Sales Dept/

Dear client, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to read you did not enjoy the tour as much as you expected. It's hard to address a review like yours where there is basically little to no information as to when you took the tour, your reservation number or the guide's name. We don't know if you booked directly on our website or if you booked through a reseller and therefore what tour description you were given. You claim you did not see anything new - logical question is: what did you expect to see given that the tour's name is Small group Grand Canal boat tour? Are you saying the boat ride didn't take place along the Grand canal? On our website we provide a detailed description of the tour, inclusions as well as a video illustrating how the tour operates - did you view the info provided or did you book through a reseller? Which reseller precisely? The tour duration is approximately 1 hour. The tour operates with an English speaking guide and a private boat similar to the private water-taxis you can often spot in Venice. You are saying we did not provide what was promised - was there no boat or guide provided? From your feedback it seems that the tour duration was correct and there were a boat and a guide present. If you had trouble hearing the guide - did you notify the guide about the difficulty? On all our boats our guides use a microphone so that customers can hear them speaking - perhaps the situation could have been solved simply by telling the guide about the issue and the guide would have increased the volume to allow you to hear better. If it was a technical issue and the mike did malfunction please provide tour date and guide's name or description and we will check what occured and if it was our fault - we will offer a compensation. We do not mind constructive criticsm however we need to receive a more detailed feedback that backs your claim of " they did not provide what was promised". From what we can see the tour did take place, the guide was there, the boat was there. We would appreciate if you contacted us directly with more specific details so that we can discuss further. We remain at disposal for any further assistance. Best regards, Aleksandra / Sales Dept

Venice is the most distinctly different city in the WORLD! The best way to take it all in is with a Grand Canal Tour.
The boat was comfortable and the weather was AMAZING to be on the water.
Our tour truly allowed us to view Venice in a way that walking tours could not. I suggest a Grand Canal Tour for your first visit to Venice.

The tour took place in a covered water taxi restricting the views of the beautiful canal. Was expecting more of an open boat with better seating. We and other guests were fighting for space outside of the covered area for picture taking.

Dear Holly, thank you for your feedback. You did not mention the tour type, date or your booking number os I can offer just a general reply. Assuming you are referring to the small group Grand Canal boat tour - this tour operates with max 8/9 people per boat which is the optimal number consider the type of boats that are used. There is normally enough space for everyone to stay outside and enjoy the views. We don't know if people on your boat were perhaps a little large or if they weren't particularly cooperative and would not move. Did you ask the guide for assistance? There is a video on our website where you can view what type of boats we use on this tour -I don't know if you booked directly or via a reseller? In any case part f the boats is always covered - it is useful in case of rain and during the colder months. I understand however that generally you are rather satisfied with the tour?
