Easy and cheap way to access Venice from the airport
Good mode of transport connecting the airport terminal and Venice. It was easy to navigate and figure out way around. We had to wait in a queue for over an hour though which was frustrating. But this was around midday so I guess the boats have stopped for lunch. It’s a lovely way to enter Venice but you don’t see much from the boat as we were in the lower deck

Awful experience, almost missed our flight home
Outbound airport to Venice, had to queue 30 mins for the boat, packed in like sardines in an enclosed cabin, not quite the lovely experience I was hoping for. Return, what a nightmare, 3 boats turned up, all packed and no room, 20 minutes apart, had to sprint across Venice, with luggage to catch a wheeled bus, got to the airport 20 mins before departure, thanks to the airport staff and security that got us to the plane with seconds to spare. Regret paying for a return journey, trying to get refund, but don’t have much hope. Stick to the road buses is my advice.

    Hot and stuffy
Very Hot and stuffy, a top open roof deck would be nice. Maps are not the clearest for tourists. Nice view of Venice from the water. Not cheap!

would never use Trip advisor again! No contact availablity.
used trip advisor for a simple transfer in Venice from the rail station to our hotel. The instructions provided by trip advisor to go to a ticket office location that no longer existed inside and could not be located outside. We were instucted to go outside to the hotel taxi's and they acknowledged where we had to go. Our hotel was located right across from canal from the train station and the taxi service walked our bags over the canal and demanded a 25 Euro fee.

Efficient transfer from Venice to Marco Polo airport!
Reasonable priced, on time, vessel shared with only 5 people in total. Friendly skipper/ operator. A great and unique method of transportation to the airport!

    Orange line to Venice
Once we got on the boat it was great but the 1 hour + wait was not what we expected. Once the queue had reached 80+ the situation was taken under control and we had a great journey..

    Do it! Totally worth it!
This was the best way to start our trip! After a very long travel day, we were greeted by the kindest host. She was easy to find right outside of customs! We avoided long lines at the water taxi kiosk and were escorted straight to our awaiting water taxi. The captain was nice and the ride was smooth. Our host led us straight to our hotel lobby! Worth every penny after a full day of travel. They even accommodated our schedule change due to flight changes beyond our control. Would highly recommend.

    Avoid Alilaguna
Just bad service. I booked a service to our hotel. When we arrived at the train station I went to the Alilguna ticket office as instructed. It took them about 30 minutes to assign a water taxi. We proceeded to the designated dock and waited another 15 minutes. At that time a girl saying she was with the company asked for my ticket and said that were were assigned the wrong taxi and proceeded to assign a new one. When our original taxi arrived they asked for us by name and the girl said no and put another party of 4 people on. We were told that our new taxi would arrive in 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later we finally got a ride. The driver did not take us to the hotel as purchased but rather dropped us water bus stop. We then had to walk several blocks. My romantic arrival at our hotel was ruined.

    Worth the expense!
Waves were too high for me to get on board at pick up point, so driver loaded luggage, then went up close, small canal so I could get on. Thank you! Met at train station dock by people who helped with luggage, took us to cafe to wait for train, and explained what we needed to know. Expensive but with luggage and walker well worth it.

    Best way to Travel!
Best way to get to and from the Airport. We had booked a shared water taxi to and from Marco Polo Airport. On our return back to the Airport our flight was early, the pick up time was 6.30am. The driver of the boat turned up at 6.20am, and we were the only ones on the transfer! A bonus as a private transfer is quite a lot more!

Gondola ride too short compared to bought duration
Gondola ride should be as long as the duration agreed upon the price. Paid 30 minutes and have been on board 18 minutes

    Terrible gondola trip
We did the gondola trip, it was terrible, the area they do their tours is probably the worst part of Venice. Don’t waste your money. If you really feel the need to do the gondola use another company than Alilaguna.

We were spending the day in Venice as had a late flight home after a holiday in the Dolomites. Getting to Venice via this service was good as there was barely anyone else on the boat. Unfortunately heading back to the airport was another matter. When the boat got to our stop it was full. People were panicked because they had flights to catch and the next one was not for sometime. The driver had no empathy with his customers and ended up yelling at my daughter when she asked what were we supposed to do as we had a flight to catch. This was not a cheap boat ride and as it was a very busy tourist month, August, the company really should provide a lot more times, such as every 10 minutes. A stressful end to our holiday.

Absolute rip off, I do not recommend taking these guys. We paid 15 euros each to get to the airport, the boat was late and would not take us... They told us another one would come in twenty minutes, it did not come at all. We asked for a refund they refused so we ended up taking a taxi boat for 180 euros with other passengers that were supposed to be on the same boat.
From the other reviews that i have read after this experience it seems that this is extremely common for this company, so I would say please don't waste your money on them....

Arriving at Venice we went to the desk to pick up our tickets. This was busy and we were in the queue for about 15 minutes waiting for the one person helping at the desk to tell us we had to wait next to the desk until all the people on our transfer checked in. Fortunately, that was only another 5 minutes.
Then the 5-10 minutes walk to the docks which we had been told about and expected. Easy to find, although once at the dock there was confusion on which was our boat.
The boat was packed and I pitied those inside. We were at the back and I was able to stand up, get some air, and see the sights once we entered the canals.
The cost was very reasonable, the journey a bit longer from queuing up to arrival than I would have liked, a bit uncomfortable, but definitely an experience VERY different from the usual Taxi rides at other airports.

I read lots of reviews before purchasing this shared taxi and many people said it was hard to find your taxi. The details say to get a voucher and then go to water taxi area, stand 71. In fact, just head straight to water taxis, very well signposted, and the taxi bay for this ticket is 7 ( I wonder if the 71 is a typo ). We had to wait for 35 mins until all of the passengers had arrived and there were 10 of us. It does not cost much more to have a private taxi so this would be a better option if you don’t want to wait. That said it was a lovely introduction to Venice for my daughter who had never been before.

Airport transfer was good. Mid-way between ACTV ferries and expensive private water taxi. We were lucky to sit by open windows which meant we had great views on the way in and out of Venice. Comfortable and prompt. We were the last stop on the orange line which meant we had the boat to ourselves for a short while which was great! On the return journey it was busy which meant passengers on later stops couldn’t board. Perhaps worth considering when allowing time to get to the airport and get an earlier boat. Overall good experience for the price (€27 return)

Beautifully clean airport. Once you arrive head towards the boat taxi. Be very mindful of the various prices. Personally I would recommend the alilaguna, take a nice slow meandering towards the most amazingly attractive city on earth.
The airport has every thing you need from food to toilets

This was a really nice way to get to Venice. From previous reviews we were prepared for the slight difficulty finding the desk (I include a picture of what it looks like in this review…it to the left leaving arrivals along the left side wall…notice the red signs with #71) & the bit of a walk on the moving walkways to get to the dock, so from our perspective it was pretty simple. You give them the address to your lodging & they will recommend the closest drop off point and give you a map showing the route from your drop off to your lodging. We had a few hours before we could check in to our room so the lady recommended a drop off at the train station near our air BnB so we could store our luggage there while going on a walking tour before our check in. It worked great! Considering they are delivering you to the closest dock to your lodging minimizing how far you need to drag your luggage through Venice & the nice ride on the water and through the canals, I would definitely choose this transfer option again!! Highly recommend!!

We arrived with no clear directions where to go in order to meet our transport. The description said someone will meet us after the luggage pickup. We waited and after 20 minutes decided to walk to the boat taxi area. Once at the water taxi there was no signage for the company listed on the coupon. After asking and getting inaccurate directions twice, which left us repeatedly walking back and forth along the taxi piper, someone told us to wait at piper 7. A man eventually appeared and then had to call for the taxi to pick us up. After an additional 20 minutes, by which time the remaining passengers on our shared boat taxi had arrived, the boat arrived and we were on our way. The boat driver was friendly and the ride was enjoyable.
The length of time we spent waiting around, we could have taken the public transport (bus or water taxi).

It was so easy to find the desk after reading other reviews. Take an immediate left after you leave the customs area and locate desk 71. They checked me in by my name. I had to wait about 15 minutes for another group, but it was a fairly quick and good experience. The view of Venice from the water was incredible. The only downside is they charge for a minimum of 2 people, and I was traveling alone. However, it was half the price of what my hotel would’ve arranged for a private transfer.

I booked this shared taxi from the airport into Venice as I know it is very expensive to have a private taxi.
We did go slightly wrong and went to the taxi departure dock and were sent back to the airport arrival hall to go to desk 71 where you check in with the the office staff.
This desk is on the ground floor as you exit the arrival hall, turn left and you will see a sign with 71 on it by the office booth.
We waited here for a number of guests and were then walked through to the departure point. It was a full taxi, but still a great way to arrive. The driver was courteous and helpful with luggage.
