About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- raheko0 contributionsamazing tripIt was one of the most amazing trip in my whole life. Knowledge of Ileana about vineyards and the entire local history is impressive. We spent the whole day on tour, and I wasn't at loose end for a minute. If you like or don't like wine, you should go on this trip.Written July 29, 2024
- 688cindyi0 contributionsSo much to see.Lovely experience, so much to see. Really need more than two hours. Our guide Stella was very knowledgeable and personable.Written June 16, 2024
- matthewv9460 contributionsEncyclopedic Knowledge of Barolo and Barbaresco With Relaxed DeliveryWe spent 3 days with Silvia as our guide and her husband Fabio as our driver. For us this was a bit of a splurge and we are so glad we did it. We came away with a deep understanding of the Piemonte regions of Barolo, Barbaresco, and Roero. We felt transported in time and place. The rolling hills, castles, winemaking family stories and general history of the region along with the soil types and winemaking styles all added to the depth of the actual tastings. We highly recommend both Silvia and Fabio as guide and driver. Our memories of this tour will enhance every bottle of wine from the region that we open in the future.Written June 1, 2023
- IOvalentinag0 contributionsToo long and redundantSilvana was great and knowledgeable, but I would not recommend this tour. With all the history of Torino and the things the City has to offer, this tour feels like a lot of redundancy all about the shroud which could be covered in one hour instead of three. There is no reason for this tour to be this long and this expensive since you won’t get to see the shroud anyways. I personally did not care for three hours of pictures and replicas.Written April 20, 2023
- juliebarrett19640 contributionsA little way out but worth itFor art deco and beautiful sculpture lovers. A little way out . . . but a simply beautiful environment of art.Written April 17, 2023

- Fudgieod0 contributionsGreat Skiing, terrible Torino Airport in Turin, Italy. We had a great ski trip at Sauze D'oulx for the week, when done we, 12 in total parents and kids arrived at Torino departure area checkin desk. We were going since 5am transfer for an 11am flight. The lady at the Chekin desk (A5) was amazing, and sorted our checkin with superb efficiency, she has us all checked in and bags loaded in 5 minutes. 👌 We then made our way through passport control. Then to Gate 3. We were flying with Tui Airways. The flight was delayed by 2 hours and....There were no seats to sit on. 12 members of my young family and friends had to sit on the dirty floor, as two hours was too long to stand. All other passengers were expected to stand or sit on the floor.. We approached one of the staff,, and his response was" that is how the airport was designed"!!! What organising would it have taken Torino Airport Authority to provide seats....Flight waiting areas to, Birmingham, Manchester and other destinations were all provided with some seating. The "Irish flight" waiting area was provided with none. Is this because the Italian airport believe the Irish won't complain and put up with the shoddy service provided. In the current Covid pandemic it is not sanitary to sit on floors waiting for flights. Shame on you Torino Airport Authority......Written January 15, 2023
- Danbowd0 contributionsTunnel History and MoreSuper interesting tour with some unexpected history related to 1700's war with the French and WW2. It was also a great way to see the city and get some history and background on it as we walked between tunnel spots.Written December 18, 2022
- Jennifer M0 contributionsAmazing tour of Sacra di San MicheleWell organized and on time tour to the beautiful, mystical abbey on top of "Wild Pig" mount in foothills of the Alps. Emmanuella was knowledgeable tour guide, the day was beautiful and thus the views were clear. Be prepared for a moderate climb from the parking lot to the entrance, and then steep stairs to reach the church at top, traversing the "stairway of the dead". Lift is also available. Loved this tour. In total it was just a little over 4 hours, traveling on a nice bus.Written November 2, 2022
- 346shelleyl0 contributionsDeath by detail! The tour guide went into excruciating detail about every artwork in the monastery, drawing the wrath of the priest, who kept telling him to keep his voice down. It was unpleasant for everyone! The tour was not what I had expected - I thought it would be more about the architecture rather than the paintings.Written October 20, 2022
- Delawarejanice20 contributionsFun quirky tourA quirky fun take on touring Turin—a number of sites joined by the fact that they’re underground. The guides English was excellent and her commentary knowledgeable. We highly recommend it.Written October 4, 2022

- pamclunie0 contributionsGreat Tunnels Tour beneath the CityWe took this tour on a Saturday afternoon and it was a very interesting couple of hours spent. Our guide Donatella spoke very good english and knew her history very well. The tunnells date back to around 1706 and even my teenager enjoyed walking around the network of tunnels although he had to stoop at times as he is 6ft tall! Added extras were a visit to the Torinesi's faourite church in Piazza della Consolata and also a flea market just north of Porta Palazzo (I think this was where it is) which is spread out over a maze of streets. Many thanks for an interesting afternoon all round.Written September 3, 2022
- WellTreadShoes0 contributionsRecommended!I had the opportunity to partake in this tour last month. It was an uncharacteristically foggy morning with rain the previous night after a hot week. The bus left on time with an art historian serving as our guide. It took almost an hour to reach San Michele. There was a steep climb up the mountain on a tarred road till you reach the site. Entering the sanctuary, you still will have to climb multiple stairs to reach the church. The tour group had additional participants who joined us at the church. There are multiple panoramic sights of Turin and surrounding valleys at the top. The tour lasted around two hours before we made our way back. There are many vendors on the way back down with interesting goods to sell. The guide spoke in Italian and English for the tour group members. The way back was a different route and showed us the countryside. It was all a good experience.Written June 4, 2022
- msK3509GD0 contributionsMust seen when in Turin!Probably one of the best tours I've ever been on. Extremely well organized -- our tour guide was informative and hospitable. The Sacra di San Michele itself was breathtaking -- the mountain views are beautiful. Moreover, walking through the monastery, with all its rich history, was truly a spiritual experience. If you enjoy Medieval history and are up for a good walk, you'll love this tour!Written May 8, 2022
