The most important Theatre in Milan as well as one of the most prestigious in the world. Projected by Giuseppe Piermarini, it was inaugurated in 1778. IMPORTANT: Due to rehearsals and private events, the visit may be limited to the museum only.

Great wines with great friends! Great experience!
Found this Enoteca on Instagram prior to arriving in Montepulciano. The venue is absolutely beautiful and a cool respite from the summer heat. Our guide, Luigi, was very knowledgeable about the wines of Talosa, as well as the entire Tuscan region. The wines were all delicious, generous pours, and the cheese and meat selections paired well with the wines that were served. Highly recommend!!

      Huge castle with multiple museums.
Huge castle and multiple museums. Of course including the Michelangelo sculpture. Take your time to enjoy the museums. Go on top so you can see the whole castle. The audio guide requires you to download their app. My phone only has 4G with TMobil. Wish they let you know earlier so I could download the app before hand.

Wine tastinf tour fit for royalty
We had a wonderful time at the winery. We began with a tour of the grounds, over looking the Vineyard and then to the wine cellar. The setting was picture perfect, just what you would imagine it would be. We then went into the castle dining room and the vintner explained each wine and we had a wonderful lunch. The wine was fabulous and so was the food. It was a nice sized group of 8 people so it was easy to ask questions, etc. I would highly recommend this tour.

Castello history was very interesting and our guide, Lara, was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. We had a great time and stayed linger to visit more of the castle.

      Excellent, informative tour!
The tour with Annette was amazing! She shared expert insight on the social/political context of the Medici lineage. Though we had done some research beforehand - still felt that we learned so much about this ruling family. It was a pleasure to meet her, and I heartily recommend her tour!

Best if you go with an art historian friend
Old-school museum, in the worst sense. A lot of art, with no explanation, including nothing about the building (which is amazing) or the history of the collection, or the concept behind it. This is a major drawback, and a nearly criminal dereliction of duty. There are some major pieces of art here, but they're mixed in willy-nilly with a lot of stuff I wouldn't take if given for free.

The best guided tour I had in Florence
What I liked the most - besides the obvious expectation of fabulous views - were the stories told by our guide Francesca. She made the whole visit a very rich, personal experience, where I learnt a lot about birth of Reneisance in Florence, lives of artists such as Donatello (her favourite one) and the not-so-obvious connections and influence of their work.

      Sorry
We would not be able to make our tour time due to car rent Al issues. They wouldn’t give a refund back. No problem, not their fault. We still wanted to come and have a tasting and buy some bottles. No credit given. Probably too big an operation to help out.

Overall Milan has much to see / been there 5 times and focused on work, local favorites - restaurants. Stayed in Brera area / many places to eat - find your flavor but local shops out of city area can be bettter.

      Wonderful setting for wine tasting
Luigi was excellent host and very informative about Talosa wines. Location in central Montepulciano is historical is easy to find and sets the mood with aging barrels and bigger stories beyond this review. I suggest contact Talosa directly for booking. There was a major breakdown in communications between this tour operator and Talosa. Tour operator booked us for date time facilty not available. Luigi did it right and made it possible for us to enjoy the experience despite being closed. Great story. Great wines. Wonderful setting and delivery of sampling. We bought 12 bottles of different price points and paid for shipping back to USA.

      Wine experience
Interesting history, great views and story behind the building. Your if grounds, vats and barrel rooms, not really a tour of the old building/castle. Very nice presenter, wines were OK. Strange that only 3 couples in attendance and 2 couples were seated together and we were seated separately although their table could have easily sat 8 people. We were all from USA. It’s worth the trip.

Our guide was knowledgeable and prompt, and we were able to see the inside of the theater. However we moved through the museum rather quickly and there were a lot of things in the museum that we did not talk about. I’m not sure what value we got from this tour versus the ticket you can just buy from La Scala directly.

We had a lovely peppy tour guide who explained a lot in the museum. Be prepared ton only see the actual stage, boxes, seats for 5 minutes. Rehearsals were going on so we could only peek inside during a break. But I am still glad that we took this tour.

Guided tours all booked so I just went in as admission. I was warned that the theatre would be in darkness as they were doing a lighting check for a performance commencing in a few days. I chose to still go in, what an experience.! The house lights were up for a good five minutes, then I had the pleasure to stand in any one of the boxes and watch the lights been checked, including curtains open, full stage view, performers in their spots for lighting checks. Absolutely superb, stayed for hours. Museum would be interesting for some, not so much to me. I was pleased I didn’t do the tour, too involved for me.

Our 1 1/2 hour tour was very interesting! While you could go through most of the museum on your own, our tour guide offered a much deeper understanding of the opera hall and its cultural importance. We are huge opera fans, and some of the information he provided was deeply profound. We loved it!

Our guide Fabio was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the theatre and Milan. He was aware there would be a performance during our tour time which would have impacted what we were able to visit and he planned around it by altering the tour so we still had the full experience! We spent a lot of time in one of the boxes which was brilliant. The information shared was exactly the right level of detail and Fabio showed us some additional points of interest in the museum. Would really recommend the tour and especially Fabio!

We were definitely on point when we booked this tour. It was really excellent. We were with two other couples and our guide Giorgio was excellent. His knowledge of opera and the opera house was amazing. He also was able to navigate us through the museum in a way that we were able to experience each of the exhibits without being in a huge group. My husband was a bit reluctant to book this as he is not such an opera fan, but he loved the tour. This is definitely worthwhile.

Our tour guide was fantastic, a real opera lover, very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. La Scala is definitely worth seeing in depth; it's gorgeous and has so much history. The museum is filled with interesting and quirky memorabilia from the composers and musicians who have filled the hall.

We met our guide after a little confusion regarding the location spot and then our group walked up the stairs. There was a rehearsal going on, so the lights were off in the theater, but we did see the performers for a bit. We then went to the museum area where our guide explained the history and artifacts for most of the tour. We were disappointed in not seeing the sets and costumes, as were stated in the tour description.

The La Scala Theatre is such a beautiful theatre. Having been in many different theaters in the US and other countries, the La Scala ranks in the top 5 with its splendor and beauty. Our guide, Flaminia Tours, was very knowledgeable of the history of this magnificent place.
