Fantastic tour guide - Pricing questionable
Guide Paivi was fantastic with the children, kept them interested for the long tour, and was flexible to adapt to our needs. She was clearly 5 stars! Price of tour is questionable and I would rate 2-3 stars (kids starting 6 count as adults) and while description talks about admission for the Castello, there are actually no tickets needed for the grounds. Also the other tickets are not really expensive, at La Scala kids are even free. I didn’t do enough research beforehand and clearly paid for that - overall, agency should reconsider pricing of tour.

    An enlightening and fun tour
This a fascinating tour of contemporary architecture in Milan. Our tour guide, Anna, is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We not only learned about specific buildings but how they connect with their surrounding communities. It was an enriching experience which we highly recommend.

    Fantastic!
We toured il Duomo, la Galleria, il Castello Sforza and l‘Ultima Cena on the last day before closing because of the corona virus. We were lucky. Our guide, Fedra was fantastic: provided detailed background information to each and every point: always factual, and humorous, when appropriate. She was also helpful with general information, on other points of interest (Bosco Verticale!), with dining recommendations, with suggestions for our remaining time in Milano. She was certainly also responsible for the bright sunshine, and for the fantastic Italian blue sky. Our time was limited, so we decided to come back to see the rest! Thank you Raphael Tours! Wonderful tour. Highly recommended.
Walking tours are usually not very child friendly. But this was fantastic. Firstly it was stroller accessible which was great as we had a 5 year old who tire easily over the course of the 3hrs+ tour. Secondly our tour guide Francesca was just lovely. She is patient and interacts well with children which is a nice change from tours which tended to be more adult centric. Francesca was very knowledgeable and you can see her passion as she explains. Finally we loved sforza castle and the duomo. So much history and just so beautiful. This was a really wonderful tour.

One beautiful piece of italian middleage in heart of a modern city
The castle si one of most beautiful places of milano, with courts and a great park. A day well spent, really suggested!

Nothing interesting between the Duomo and the Last Supper
Our tour guide was good and we enjoyed our tours of the Duomo and the Last Supper. But really, between the two, it is nothing but a walk with tidbits of information here and there. I have been on more informative walking tours.

    Amazing guide and tour...!!
Chiara was the name of our tour guide...Milan is a wonderful city...both of them were amazing...!! Milan is one the great Italian cities of all times, it has everything. For people like me who are history lovers, Milan is a jewel. So much has happened there that affects the world even today...like the legacy of Leonardo da Vinci who lived there under the auspices of the legendary Ludovico Sforza, and the famous "Last Supper" painting. Or the Duomo di Milano Cathedral, magnificent example of the Italian Gothic style, full of incredible treasures... Chiara --our guide-- made the half day tour feel short...she was funny, full of energy and very knowledgable...a very memorable experience...!!

    canceled but took payment
We paid for the tour then got a call 3 hours before the tour was to start, that they did not have a guide. That was over a week ago they still have not refunded our money.

    The best tour ever
We booked a 7 hour Milan walking tour with Expedia and can honestly say that this was one of the best tours ever. Right from the start our exceptional tour guide Charles as he is known, was outstanding. His knowledge of all the sights was well displayed constantly telling our group some amazing facts and tidbits. A slight French / Italian accent but in English made for a remarkable day adding a bit of humour to some interesting facts. . Myself being a bit of a history buff was blown away by his outstanding knowledge and skill in articulating facts. Clearly he is well versed in local Milanese knowledge. My compliments to whoever found Charles. He kept our group tight and never lost anyone in such a busy city. Everything that was in our itinerary were well covered and well worth the cost of the tour! Not to be missed. Signed....a seasoned Canadian traveller.

    Amazing
My wife and I found ourselves at Porta Nuova by chance as we were just sightseeing without any research. We were very impressed by the modern building and especially the Vertical Forest. We found the whole redeveloped area amazing because we didn't expect it and it looked great. Well worth a visit.

Duomo, la Sala and Sforza Castle
The Duomo was excellent, our tour guide was very informative. Although we were very disappointed the ticket said La Scala theater and we only stood outside and were told about it. We never went inside which was a big disappointment thinking that was part of the tour. The Sforza castle was very good too. Our guide was very informative but four hours was a very long time with no break.

Though groups showed up on time at the meeting point, guides were disorganized on which groups went with each guide. Though we paid for skip the line, we waited in the regular line to enter the Duomo Cathedral. We paid for entry and admission to Il Cenacolo but only passed by the entrance with a quick overview! Seeing the Last Supper was breathtaking. I wouldn’t use Raphael Tours & Events to book day trips in Italy.

No show guide - booked thru Get Your Guide
We booked a 4 hour deluxe food and walking tour of Milan for Sunday 11 August. We turned up, but the guide didn't. Calls to the 3rd party provider to try and find the location of the meeting point, which was far from clear - how does a tourist know the 'main entrance' of a castle which has 4 entrances in total and no ticket requirement? - didn't tell us that the tour had been cancelled. A text to the local supplier contact number resulted in no response, but a call did. And the supplier Raphael Tours told us that the tour had been cancelled a week before and claimed that our abandonment was not her fault. While Raphael Tours may have cancelled the tour the week previously, it was not our issue but between Raphael Tours and Get Your Guide. I am angry that neither party thought to tell us before after the start time for the tour and angrier that neither party was prepared to take responsibility for the situation. I have made a similar review for Get Your Guide. Raphael Tours customer service is awful. I hope your experience is better.

Everything was great. Booking was easily accomplished and payment easy. The same tour guide was with us for the entire time. She was very attentive to our questions, extremely knowledgeable about the places visit as well as the associated art and history. Absolutely pleasant to be in her company. I would not hesitate to use Tours of Milan again

Paiva was our guide. Her knowledge was very deep and her love of all things Milan and all things art was astounding. Her enthusiasm made everything come alive for us. I would strongly recommend her and the agency. We booked thru Viator before leaving home and are glad we did.

Excellent
Very good explanation from the guide
We really liked that they highlighted the main paintings since the art gallery is very large.
