Great view at the top
Sep 2020
Lovely cathedral, but did feel a bit disappointed there wasn’t much signings around to tell you about the cathedral. You could buy ear pods with the listening tape but they do hurt my ears so I didn’t do . If you have a summer dress on showing your shoulders they will give you a thin cover up to put over them. It is a well worth a visit if your in Milan and at night it is lite up beautifully , great for a lovely photo.

Cathedral itself was beautiful & stunning, so was the rooftop but not sure it was worth 45 pound For elevator and ‘skip the line’ as you still have to walk up stairs when you get out of the elevator and there’s no elevator back down so had to walk it all. Don’t mind this at all but as we paid extra for elevator thought this was a bit of a waste of money and misleading. There was no skip the line option Either you just don’t have to queue for a ticket as we already had the TripAdvisor ticket on our phones. Overall would definitely recommend visiting the cathedral But not purchasing this option, pay less and get the same experience.

Elevator only goes up!!
Jul 2020 • Couples
Please inform the people that you can only the elevator the way up. You have to take many stairs to go up and certainly go down! On the roof when is has been raining it’s very dangerous and slippery. If I had known I wouldn’t have bought it!

Not able to refund even though we could not travel due to the corona travel ban. The only tour out of many that were affected that would not process a refund.

Not as advertised - no skip the line available
Feb 2020 • Couples
I paid extra (for four tickets) to skip the line through this TripAdvisor purchase (because we had opera tickets and needed flexibility and were in formal clothing) and then was told at the venue that was not possible and there is never a skip the line Milan Duomo option during this time of year. I paid extra for nothing. I called customer service number on the ticket from the venue and they said I could wait in line at the visitor’s center to get the issue resolved. I simply did not have time to do that, especially since there was no guarantee it would be resolved. Even now I have not been able to contact anyone on the phone or through the website to help me. Very disappointing.

Skip the ticketing line, not the entrance line
This is just skipping the long line at the ticketing office, not the fast track for entrance. Can be misleading.

Purchased the skip the line tickets. Transaction was smooth online and the tickets worked. However, not really worth the premium paid as there was no "skip the line" entrance at the venue, and the security guards waved us to join the normal queue instead!
So it might be a better idea to just go on-site to buy the normal tickets which are 20-30% cheaper.

Breathtaking

The views from the rooftop were incredible!!! Spent a lot of time wandering the city before the tour to we were very glad to have booked the lift and not the stairs! The museum was also very interesting and a lot larger than I was expecting. Would highly recommend !

A spectacular sunset at the Duomo
Jan 2020 • Friends
A beautiful tour of the Duomo and rooftop. We chose to go late afternoon as other reviews recommended to take in the sunset. The cathedral itself is beautiful and filled with so much history. The stain glass windows depicting the stories of Christ are quite spectacular. The rooftop is amazing. The views are great in all directions. The details of the architecture are amazing. I really enjoyed the opportunity to walk the rooftop. The elevator was great but there was a 45 minute wait. Not sure exactly what the skip the line portion of the ticket was, but all in all it was all worth it.

This should be top of the list to see. Visit the Duomo on your own and make it to the rooftops if you can, elevator is recommended. I struggle with heights and most of the rooftop area is not beside a direct overlook so most of it is manageable. I also recommend jumping on a local walking tour to get extra information about the Duomo and its building process. Its not necessary to be on a Duomo specific tour, because many walking tours will take you by the iconic Duomo.
