Fantastic tour and tour guide/bus driver. Amazing scenery, beautiful train ride down from St Moritz. Good value from the tour company. Totally recommend this tour.
Don't go to the Cafe opposite the Milan visitors center, complete rip off! The guy has no prices on anything and is nice to you then rips you off. He k ows you are not coming back. The big cafe opposite and only one open at the 7am meeting time- We ordered 2 capacuccinos, 2 waters, 2 x croissants and a sandwich....he charged us 47 Euros, should have been around 25 to 30 Euros.

We had high expectations for this trip based on several factors. I feel that if you book this trip be aware of the fact that the train seats face forward and backwards, so the experience is not the same for everyone. Also, if you want to see the sights, if you are not on the correct side of the train, you will be “crawling” all over strangers. This was not a fun time. People were not polite to those across the aisle to allow for good views.
Now the positive things. Our guide was great! I wish I could remember her name. St. Moritz was nice. Lunch in town was a bit pricey, but delicious. The bus was comfortable and our driver was great, especially around those tough snaking roads. The stop for a break was nice. Overall a nice experience, but I would not call it fabulous

This was billed as a bus/train tour out of Milan, and that is fair description. But the train is the thing. The bus was just a way to get to the train from Milan and to return to Milan. The bus part was tiresome. The bus we were on was not very comfortable and did not have any extras such as WiFi or a restroom. However, the TRAIN portion of the trip was worth the discomfort of the bus. The Bernina Exrpess (with multiple stops...) is a comfortable train with wide-open windows so that you can see all there is to see in that section of the Alps. If you get a chance to take this excursion, do it! You won't be disappointed.

I have been in Italy for 2 months and I have been on many tours. This is the only one I have rated badly. We took the bus to Tirano, where we stopped at an auto stop for food and bathroom. We had almost as much time there as in Saint Moritz.
We took the bus up to Saint Moritz. We were shown where to meet for the train ride down and told we had 50 minutes. 50 minutes! The tour advertised having lunch if you want and strolling around. I was really looking forward to seeing the town. This was our experience; rush through a parking garage, go up 3 sets of escalators and climb a hill to get to the town. We just had enough time to duck in a chocolate shop, get a hot chocolate to go and see a tiny bit before it was time to go back down.
We met our guide, who showed us the platform we would board the train, but said the train wasn’t ready yet. She left us there as the train started boarding and we were all unsure what to do. Beside us was another tour with the guide right there showing everyone where to go.
We took the Bernini train down, this train did not have express written on it. We saw another train with Bernini express written on it that had domed glass tops. The ride was very nice.
We met the bus in Tirano and spent time there ( 2 gift shops, 1 cathedral and a cafe) We took the bus back and arrived in Milan an hour ahead of schedule.
My question is why we didn’t have more time in Saint Moritz? Why did we waste so much time in Tirano?
The only other positive thing was the bus t driver Flavio.

The tour starts in Tirano with a short visit around the church and town before then moving to the station and get lunch. I honestly would have preferred just going to get lunch straight away and then catch the train as when you get to St Moritz whilst we had an hour of exploring from the moment we arrived, it takes about 10-15 minutes to actually get to the city so by the time you're free to go you only have about half an hour. before you need to start heading back. Not stopping in the other part of town first would give more time in St Moritz I think. If you go as a couple I'd make sure one of you is on each side of the train as whilst I had small group so easy to with sides, a big group might make that difficult and there are things to capture on both sides. The windows on the train do slide down which is a big plus.

The tour started in Milan by bus. We drove to St. Moritz and had free time. The trip through the countryside along Lake Como was beautiful and had plenty of photo opportunities from the bus. The train ride down was fantastic...lots of views. We did not have a panoramic car...I don't recommend them except in the winter. Our car had windows that opened and photos were easier to take. The train ride delivers as advertised.

When we booked the tour we didn’t know much about it but we thought that it would be a nice experience. And it was an amazing adventure!!! Our guide, Sabrina was absolutely delightful, she is fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, she knows every single detail about the area, the train, the cities we visited, she was super well organized and gave us all the tips we needed it to enjoy all the places we visited. Highly recommended experience! Thank you Sabrina, Donato ( our driver was incredible! ) and the other lady guide ( I don’t remember her name) for helping us to spend a memorable day in the Bernina Express! Unforgettable tour!!!!,

This is a great tour and 12+ hours. Our guide was history nerd and he explained all the backgrounds and how different valleys were formed. The train ride is amazing. On the train you should upgrade to first class by paying extra 5 euro per person

The views are beautiful. Unlike other reviewers we had 2.5 hours in St Mortiz which was enough to grab lunch at a cafe, leaving us enough time to wander the streets and shops, visit the chocolate shop, and see the car show that was happening on the frozen lake. Would go back separately to St Mortiz to visit again - however the train was the main purpose of our trip which was beautiful and a great way to see the mountains. Our guides were great giving us tips on the bus, before heading into St Moritz, and again on the train. A long day but well worth it!

We took the bus to St. Moritz. Nice ride. Stopped to refresh on the way. Train to I believe Torino? Then bus back. Sunday traffic was terrible so we took an extra 1 1/2 hours. Once again stopped to refresh. Lots of time on a bus, but comfortable

What time do we need to be at the meeting point, we are staying jus5 outside of Milan and will need to know if we can get an early bus/ train to the meeting point. We are staying at Via Galeazzo Alessi, 10, 20123 Milano MI, Italy. How long will it take to get to the meeting point

Sounds like you're outside of the metros reach, but that's the best option, if you have it. Otherwise train to Garibaldi and metro/walk from there (it's a short walk). I didn't navigate the bus system. I think I had to be there at 7. Bus leaves at 7:15. Hope that's of some help.

I am struggling to find reasonable transportation from our already booked holiday in express, at the Milan Airport(we leave the next morning 4 am). It seems to be a 1/2 hour journey from there to Milan Visitor Center. To get there by taxi for that ear y departure could be tricky with that distance? We are close ( it seems) to the train station, but I am unfamilar with the area, and the options, despite my searches. Suggestions?
Hi, is there any first class bernina express package please? What does it include?
