DO NOT BUY THiS ITEM. This is the online front of the ‘lake pirates’. The service is ‘as advertised’, and does function correctly, but save time and money by using the public ferry. You can buy tickets for the public ferry at the dock (the staff have very good English language), boats leave mich more frequently than the tickets I bought.

It worked out and the boat ride itself was nice but…1) strong pressure to buy as soon as we parked and clearly were working to try to get us to buy tickets from them before we realized they were not the official boat service / ferry; 2) when selling us they said boats leave every half hour - when we got to the first island they said the next pickup wouldn’t be for 1.5 hrs and the one after that would be one hour later so we skipped the fisherman’s island and just went to Bella - at that too they said they same NEW pickup times it just worked for us at that spot.

Great way to see the Borromean Islands. Private boat was fantastic and easy. Fabian our Captain was wonderful. We had a fabulous day.

When visiting scenic Lake Maggiore a good day tour is to take the sight seeing island tour of Isola Madre, Isola Superiore & Isola Bella...each island has special attractions & sights - plus good shopping & restaurants. Definitely worth taking a full day to plan for and experience.

Amazing views from the boat, both of the lake and islands on it. The scenery was as beautiful as it was stunning.

They disgues themselves as "the official" service, literally hooking you up when you are in the parking lot or in line to get the ticket from the official one. Instead they are nothing more than a private taxi company and, as usually happens in Italy for the taxies, it's a fraude. NO RECEIPT whatsoever, and when I asked to pay with credit card( I refused to pay off the books) the rate for the children ( she is 10 years old) that he offered me before, was suddenly only avalaible for infants only, so I had to pay the adult rate. SECURITY: The service, from a safety and security point of view it's an HAZARD and totally UNSAFE, as they don't secure themselves when getting at the hairbours with ANYTHING, they just mantain the boat in line with the engine on. Their attitude, when mentioning any of the above has been extremely arrogant, disgraceful and rude. DON'T TAKE IT, go for the OFFICIAL SERVICE instead

We have been touring in November and the weather was superb! We had a perfect Italian lunch on Isola Bella. The sight of Matterhorn peak from the lake was breath-taking.

We booked on line, (internet navigazione servizio publico), two tickets to go from Stresa to Isola Bella. It was precised that departure from Stresa was possible at 9 a.m First desappointment but not the least, when we arrive at the office to get the tickets, we have had to pay an extra cost for the company. This point was not mentionned on the web site. Second, it was impossible to take a boat before 10 a.m unless we saw many groups take boats from 9 a.m These points are not acceptable and you should update your informations on your web site or at least consider your clients much more better than you do.

I organized a tour for 32 academics from Stresa to Isola Madre and Isola Bella. The boat captains were extremely competent and friendly, picking us up at the convened time and place. The islands were magical and well worth the visit. I would have two suggestions, though: -provide a way to buy a combined boat and museum/garden ticket online. I had to wait in line at Isola Madre to buy tickets, always awkward when 32 people are waiting. -make it much clearer when buying the tickets online which boat company you are using, and how to find it. I lost fifteen minutes looking for the right boat company, giving added meaning to the name Stresa.

Everything perfect My family was very happy.we visited isola dei Pescatori and the Isola Bella where we had Lunch. Nice

It's a fantastic service, usually on time, polite & efficient & not expensive. Of course, it's in Italy, so don't expect Swiss standards. The organisation, timetables, ticket prices are all a bit of a muddle but it does work, most of the time & they do an important job of ferrying all the workers on & off the islands, as well as us, tourists.

I paid just €4.60 for a return ticket on this boat. A short ride across from Carciano to Isola Bella. You can ofcourse take the boat from Stresa to Isola Bella but the lakeside walk from Stresa to the dock in Carciano is so beautiful, it’s worth the “passeggiata”. Takes about 15mins tops. And every angle is photo-friendly.
