Highly Recommend this class with Andrea!!
Such a wonderful pasta making experience! This was something we really wanted to do while in Italy and we got so lucky with our experience. We signed up for this class as a group of four and were so surprised when we arrived at the class and were the only people there! Andrea was our instructor and he was fantastic. He was very fun and made the entire process really simple! He chatted with us throughout the entire process and gave us some great recipes to use our pasta making skills in the future and also had some great suggestions for local restaurants and dishes to try, which we really appreciated! He was lovely to chat with and our pasta turned out great! We also got a bottle of wine to go along with our meal :) Definitely a new skill that we will continue to use throughout our lives. Thank you Andrea!! Can’t say enough good things about our time with him. 10/10 recommend this pasta class in Como!!

    Menaggio Villa Vigoni Tour
We booked (short notice) this fantastic 2 hour walking tour to see Villa Vigoni and to learn more about Menaggio. Giuseppe is a great guide. He spoke in both Italian and English to our group of six people. He is friendly and knowledgeable-shared so much history and information about the Como area. Would definitely recommend! (We learned about Slow Lake Como company through the Turismo Menaggio website!)

Best cooking class in the area
Paulo does a fantastic job explaining the process and enjoying what he does. We had a great time making some different pastas and then sitting down to a 3 course meal with the folks that weee in the class. Great spot for the class overlooking Lake Como. Highly recommend

    Amazing Experience!
We took part at the dinner class in Tremezzina. Let's say that our chef Andrea was amazing, he taught us to make tagliatelle in a very easy way and magtagliati. We had a sauce made with fresh vegetables that we picked up in the garden. Everything was just wonderful. Thanks so much Andrea!!! After the dinner we had the chance to walk in this nice park on the lakeshore very close to the location while waiting for the boat to get back to Bellagio. We will be back for risotto class!!!

Slow Lake Como Food Tour - do it
Wonderful tour. Daniel our tour guide was engaging, knowledgeable, and spirited. In addition to being exposed to local foods and wine, we were treated to the history of Como and the lake. We were a small group of 4 which allowed personal attention. Highly recommend and would say it’s good value for money.

Fantastic hike to unique castle for Birds Eye view of Como
This is a unique and interesting tour, to give a completely different experience and perspective of Como. We met Daniela at the meeting point and enjoyed our 2 hour tour in a group of 6. The walk up to the castle is on a cobblestone road so best in sturdy footwear. We didn’t take sufficient water but our obliging guide bought some for us, just as well. It is a moderately strenuous walk that does require some attention to avoid stumbling. Definitely worth the climb to the castle and then the rooftop for complete panoramic views in all direction.

    Incredible Experience!
This pasta making class was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy this year. The instructor was very friendly and engaging and shared lots of old world pasta stories from his childhood. We learned how to make two different pastas- one with egg and one with water. The instructor kept the champagne flowing and the conversation fun and interesting. We learned how to create and rest the pasta then we learned how to make some shapes by hand and using the pasta roller. At the end, the instructor prepared the pasta and served it with two different types of authentic home made sauces, a red bolognese sauce and a green pesto sauce. One of us in our group was vegetarian so they made her a vegetarian bolognese sauce. Both were delicious and served with focaccia bread and coffee with a delicious Italian dessert to finish. Be sure to not eat before you take this class because they will fill you up, I promise! For all of the eating that I did in Italy, I would say this was probably my favorite pasta that I ate the entire trip. I was so inspired by this class that when I got home, I ordered a pasta roller and the special pasta flour so I can duplicate this pasta here in the US. Many thanks to you and your staff for making this one of the greatest adventures!

Val Senagra Enchanted Valley hike and special lunch
Loved our hike with Michele. He was a true nature enthusiast and grew up locally. He had great info to share. The hike was perfect and we loved the lunch at a working trout farm.

    Lovely Host and Overall Experience
Arianna was a very generous teacher and host. We had a wonderful time learning about pasta and her town of Tremezzo. She took us to the back garden and she harvested some fresh tomatoes and fresh herbs to use in our dishes. She also offered to take photos of us throughout the class. Highly recommend based on Arianna’s guidance and generosity alone! Note that we did the dinner class which does not have the location well indicated on the Trip Advisor website. We called in advance to make sure we were headed to the right location. We had to do additional research to ensure making our ferries. Luckily Arianna was very helpful with this as well.

    Amazing experience!
Paolo is an amazing host and teacher! He taught us to make two different types of pasta which both tasted excellent. All of the staff were so helpful and welcoming - they set us up a table outside with an amazing view of the lake from the hotel. Everything about this experience was amazing and we could not recommend it enough!

    Unnecessarily and Expensively Confusing
Let me first say that we had a very good time at the actual cooking activity itself and our chef was wonderful. Arianna was lovely and we enjoyed her class immensely. What we didn’t enjoy was that we spent ALOT of money getting to the class location because we were given the wrong address. If you know the Lake Como area, you know that it is very spread out. We chose the dinner class and diligently set up private transportation, (which is very expensive-no Ubers or regular taxis here). The address we received to meet at was wrong. We showed up at this hotel, and thankfully the hotel employee said she had encountered this several times repeatedly and had taken it upon herself to give us poor tourists showing up at the wrong address, the “correct” address. (And to this moment as I write this review, the correct address STILL has not been corrected online). We were told that the actual address we needed was 10 additional minutes away. We literally had to run after our transport car that had almost reached the end of the driveway and bang on the back and thankfully our driver stopped and agreed to take us to the correct address. It was extremely confusing so I’m not sure whether trip advisor or whomever the tour company they use was at fault, but it was not a pleasant experience. There are dozens of these cooking classes offered all over the area and I would suggest not going through Trip Advisor to book. Sorry Trip Advisor, you or whomever you contract with dropped the ball on this one.

Local experience with a fun guide!
Such a fun guide, told wonderful stories of growing up in the area. Hike was so peaceful. Once we reached top of town it was pretty much flat and surrounded by trees and the river. The lunch stop was amazing, with such fresh food! Very much worth it for those that want to get away from the touristy areas of Menaggio and try something off the beaten path.

Mikael was simply the most wonderful, kind, patient and attentive guide. He took us on a lengthy trail walk along ancient trails and Roman built roads for a total of 5.5 hours through the woods in the hills above Lake Como. Along the way he knowledgeably pointed out points of interest and historical sights. We stopped for lunch in a charming, family run restaurant where we had a delicious home cooked meal. Before you embark on this tour, keep in mind that you need to have stamina to complete this trek. However, if you are up for it, it is well worth it.

his tour is unmissable! The hike in the woods is beautiful, with unexpected views over the lake and, most of all, with the company of a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed the delicious lunch in a picturesque hamlet. And it was great, at the end of the day, to take the boat to come back and chill out a little watching the landscape. I don't think we would have found something better elsewhere.

We loved our guide Daniele from the start - knowledgable with a great sense of humor. Up the funicular to Brunate, then a moderately challenging hike (a little off camber and some storm washout) along the old roman paths, stopping for an amazing lunch in Piazzaga. We descended from lunch to the charming village of Torno where we picked up a boat back to Como.

This day was definitely the best one we spent in the area. We wanted to feel the nature, be out of the crowds and visit some true local places. Too many desires? Oh no, we got everything and even more: a tasty lunch (I will never forget that goat cheese!) and a passionate guide like Fabia who is never tired of answering questions. 100% recommended!!
